Hi everybody,I have a problem with FS2002 and Win2k. I have installed on my computer 2 version of windows. The first one is on the C: drive and is Win ME. The second one is on the E: and is Windows 2000 Pro. I try that to see if FS2002 run better with Win2k than WinMe.Fs2002 was already installed with winME and i have decided to install FS2002 under win2k using the same directory for the both installation (E:FS2002).Under WinME there is no problem. FS2002 work normally.Under Win2k everything is ok until the scenery begin to load. The loading of the elements is normal but when normally the screen appear with the cockpit, with win2k the system is reboot such as a manual res…

I just installed a Gainward GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB Golden Sample video card but as soon as I fired up FS2002, I got this image:http://www.aavirtual.com/screenshots/fs2002.jpgI have ALL SLIDERS MAXED OUT! Also, running with the Detonator 30.82 drivers...Do I have to re-install FS2002 after installing a new video card?? Previous card was a GeForce4 MX 440... Thanks in advance!

Hello all,I read sometime ago that if you copy the Concorde from FS2000 into your FS2002 folder, you can select it. I did that and I've flown it, but, it doesn't respond as well as when it was in FS2000.I also remember reading a post that someone had a great air file to download from the library to replace the default one. I've been searching for it for a while with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, and happy landings!John.

I'm been running FS2002 for about six months on a computer with a 1 ghz PIII and an ASUS PB3-F (Intel 440bx chipset) motherboard, Geforce 2 MX400 Video, Soundblaster Live Value audio, low spec Quantum Bigfoot UDMA2 IDE hard drive. Running FS with the latest drivers on all hardware components I've alway experienced unexplained lockups at different times and have never been able to pin down the source. After trying every conceivable Detonator Video Driver sets, treaking this and that, lowering DirectX sound acceleration, taking the cover off my computer and directing a housefan into my case (to rule out overheating), boosting the core voltage on my slightly overclocked…

Guys, I dont have FS Meteo, as I never figured I'd get that much out of it in view of all the other payware out there (one has to make choices...) But I did try this new freeware Weather Maker.Can anybody who has both tell me the difference between them? I'd like to understand more.Eric

Is there any software I can download to let me view charts in flight simulator full screen?There are loads of free jpeg charts on the web but I don't have a printer so would like to have them on screen in flight sim.

I downloaded Rick Bores Phoenix landclass and mesh and it looks great. However, I am having problems with the KPHX airport(Sky Harbor Intl) It seem on my system the aprons around each gate are now a beilliant white as are the grass areas. Is this only on my system or is anyone else having this problem?

I wanted to improve the textures on FS2002 so I gave RivaTuner a try! Now they look even better!!! But I have a question. I decided to do some overclocking but RivaTuner has 2 different overclocking options. One is called Low Level System Tweaks Overclocking and the other is called Driver Settings Overclocking... Which one should I use?? I overclocked the Low Level one and now my 3DMark 2001 SE score went to 10,165 points! Do I need to use the Driver Settings Overclocking also?By the way, I have a P4 2.4GHz CPU, 512MB DDR PC2100, Gainward GeForce4 Ultra/650 XP Golden Sample with 128MB DDR... I'm trying to recreate a King/Bendix type of autopilot for my homecockpit. I thought I knew how these things worked but now I'm not so sure. The way I have it programmed now, when I hit the "altitude" button the AP captures the current altitude, not the one I had dialed in at the onset. I then need to reset the altitude bug to the desired flightlevel. It will default to the VS that is in the plane cfg but I can change that up or down too. This is different from the way the AP usually works in FS. It used to be that hitting the ALT button would just set the VS and the plane would climb until reaching the preselected altitude. Which is more correct? And what about on APs th…

Does Weather Maker interact with FS2k2's ATC system to give different altimeter/pressure settings along your route, or do you have the same altimeter setting throughout your flight? I just downloaded WM and it had a corrupted file :-doh . I will try to dl it again if it has altimeter changes.Thanky,Adam

Hi, has anyone also experienced ground control giving you clearance to taxi to gereral aviation parking when you are an airliner? This has happened twice for me. One of those times, using Yeodesign's 737-200 v2. Any advice for me or anything that I have to do to have ground direct me to a gate?Thanks for your help,Bill

I use POSKY's Varig's 767-300 in most of my flights, I know the 767s are really underpowered birds but there's something bothering me. While trying a flight at FL350, at around FL320 the plane starts losing speed, at FL330 the speed is under 190 knots and then it begins to stall. I thought 767 were certified to go at over FL410. Just some details, I'm not making any steep takeoffs (vertical speed set at 1000), power at 100% and flaps at 15%.Is it right?Cheers!

Hi All,EDIT---I just looked below and I see someone has beat me to it but I will leave this here anyway.I don't know if anyone has posted about this before. I just came on and had to let you know about this package. It consist of an amazing aircraft and panel combination by Nick Pike. The detail on the aircraft is first rate, but the real winner is the panel. The panel does everything but wipe your A##(I didn't look for that button).;) I took it for a quick test flight and it is amazing. It's got Heat Exhaust effects, Retractable Canards, Elevons, and an Air Stair that you have to see to believe. The panel has more functions then you would believe can be put into a FS2K2 …

I flew out of Atlanta to Orlando in Mike Stones great 757,& climbed out to my cruise altitude of 38,500ft.I started my decent just above Jacksonville ( this is all normal flight time) I was just north of the Orlando VOR, lined up with Runway 17, requested permission to land. I was about ready to drop the gear when I get this "your computer is out of available memory Flight Sim 2002 will exit". What a bummer! I have a p-4 1.4g with 512 ram and an Invidia 64mb g-Force 2 card. Has anyone experienced this? Or am getting ready to experience something unpleasant with my computer.

G'day allI think I am entering the stage of my Fsim development where I should be starting to look at VATSIM. So , I have been to the relevant Australian area website, downloaded the Squawkbox programme (not installed it yet) , had a quick look at some of the instructional material on the website -- and my first instinct is -- TOO HARD FOR ME!!! :(Are there any organisations/websites that take newbies COMPLETELY in hand? I've just been onto Project AI's website, and there seem to be a "few" airlines but not what i thought there would be.Is is possible to run Project AI and another program like TTools at the same time which will allow me to choose which a/c i use, whether they are a/c i've downloaded or the Project AI a/c, and also allow me to configure my own flight plans?I would ideally like to have a/c of my own choice ie. TTools program, but the only problem would be to choose the correct a/c and assign it to a "real" routing.Any of this possible, being a novice with AI..?ThanksWill
