I am thinking of purchasing the Cessna 421 from flight1 - however I just wanted to check some details on the VC since I normally fly as much as possible in the VC.What functions cannot be accessed via the VC or on a "snap in panel"?? (or perhaps better put "What functions do you have to go back to the 2d panel for ??"). Other comments appreciated as well !!

Hello,I have just installed the Ultimate Hong Kong Simulation Scenery for FS2K2 and it is great but there is one problem, it changed my scenery for VHHH. Does anyone know how I can have the Kai Tak scenery from the Ultimate HK, but sill keep the VHHH scenery that I have already installed? I don't the Ultimate HK scenery to 'over-write" the VHHH scenery already there. Help!Thanks

I've tried to use the ariane 737 with the DF Panel, the sound is working very good, the panel too, but i have 3 (maybe more :( ) problems: 1.the door is not working (1 and 2)2.the flaps are not 100% working3.the NAV lights and the strobe light are on the wrong placeattachment: aircraft.cfg

Is there any way to have the gates at large airports more realistic? I mean having obvious stalls for each plane, jetways, ground markings etc. Instead of just parking in the middle of no where facing a flat wall. Is a new airport scenery required to do this? Anyone know if there are packages which will accomplish this for the large terminals at KSEA, KPDX etc?Thanks!

Right i'm a novice in this field, but i've decided that i'm going to change my AI traffic from the default to something else more realistic.I've noticed that there is Project AI out, and other AI tools. BUT which one should i choose??I'm after having quite detailed aircraft of different liveries covering all of my local UK airports (especially London area) and europe. Preferably with the right AI a/c that is parked @ the right gate.I'm abit hessitant about Project AI as they are still adding liveries to their collection and also that they have routes still to include - so in short not as complete as i'd like it.There are other programs about (don't know which), allow you …

Is it possible to edit the time zone MS put into FS? They screwed up on Thunder Bay, Ontario. It should be on Eastern Standard Time, but instead, they put it on Central time, 1 hour behind what it should be. I need to fix this to get AI schedules running properly between Thunder Bay and Toronto, which is on the same time in real life, but 1 hour ahead in FS. I'd appreciate any and all help. Thanks!

HiIs there a way to alter an aircrafts weight? Fill it with passengers or cargo?I searched the aircraft.cfg and found an part called "WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE" there i can specify the "empty_weight" parameter. So I would be able to calculate my load weight and simply add it to the empyweight... Is that generally possible or does FS2002 scrue up then (not gettin in the air anymore) or is there another, better parameter to get an a/c filled? I'm normally very reluctant to 'buy' planes for fs2002.Most of the time they aren't better than freeware, especially if you look at miltons dash-7 :-)Furthermore I'm really not a big fan of flying around with slow single engined planes. I recently installed Windows XP Professional. My computer configurations is as follows:AMD 2100, 256 DDR Ram, ATI 7500 64 MEG Graphics card, dual monitor capable, Sound Blaster Live 5.1, 40 Gig Hard Drive, 45 Gig Hard Drive, HP CD RW.I initially had problems getting FS2002 to work. I posted this problem and through the kind attention of another individual I was able to get this working, by renaming the old install, and starting with a brand new install. FS2K2 used to run perfect with Win2K / SP2 / Nvidia 28.32 / VIA 437System failure caused a reinstall of Win2K / SP3 with same nvidia/via drivers. FSK2 is unstable now. Text and lights (runway lights/strobes )show up with a square black border ( I think this was a problem before and dont know how people resolved it ) Shift-Z text is distorted. Tried upgrading nvidia and via drivers but no difference.Can anyone help ?Thanks

Hi,I've got some trouble when I install new sceneries from independent authors and creators : the autogen around those sceneries disappears ! For instance, I downloaded and installed the Lille-Lesquin (LFQQ) airport and once I've installed this airport, the surrounding buildings disappeared and the areas were replaced by "no man's land" textures without autogen ! The problem I meet here are the roads that were put with the aiports ; without those roads, the autogen is here ; the surrounding buildings and forests appear.Some other airports and airfields make the autogen disappear ...I'd like to know if there's a solution to prevent the airports from removing the surroundin…

HiI saw this file indicated in a thread. It's so different from I'm used to (DF737 and default), that I real don't know what to think:The plane is lighter, the roll specially with Flaps 40 is fast;The stall speed is lower;Difficult to slow to 250 bellow FL100 without using spoilers;Very sensible to rudder pedals inputs;The Authors credentials are great. Does anyone tried it and have any idea if this correct? Because it's freeware and works very well with ACloader is a good candidate to be a VA standard airfile/aircraft.cfg.Thanks Jos
