I just ordered Radar Contact 3 and the manual says I need AdvDisplay.dll.I installed it but I get no ATC text like I should.I am using VooDoo 4500 card and the instructions say I must disable "PageFlip" in FS.Where do I find PageFlip?I have looked everywhere.Thanks,Ron

what do i have to name an aircraft to make it show up in the aircraft manager, i have several like the dash 80 in my files, but they don't show up when i change the aircraft in fs2002, apparently there must be some place else that controls this ???Ralph

Hi Guys,Having a problem that's affecting me in FS2002 as well as other games including, but not limited to X-Plane and Medal of Honor.The symptoms are that periodically, the graphics will freeze and stutter a few times over a period of about 4 or 5 seconds, then go back to normal and after the freezing up, the joystick stops responding. I can revive the joystick by going into Control Panel/Game Controllers. Usually at first the joystick doesn't appear listed, but if I close the game controllers window and re-open it a few times, eventually it will be re-listed and if I then go into properties for the joystick, it will start responding in the game until next time the free…

Hi there I need some help editing the aircraft.cfg file to get slower approach speeds on one of the heavy irons i fly as the current apppraoch speeds simply do not come close to the performance charts I have studied for this aircraft (hint-its a 767!) how can i fix this issue which lines do i edit- the parasitic drag and the induced drag?

For those using this panel - I've resized and repositioned the HUD. The previous position was to the left of the pilot (which looked correct in all the cockpit photos I could find). Conventional wisdom, however, says the pilot looks through the thing, so the new HUD is positioned in front of the pilot in (hopefully) the true cockpit perspective. Hello.Why is the airspeed different when I flick from GPS to NAV when approaching the glideslope?I was barreling in to Zurich, had the selector on GPS, and my airspeed in front of me agreed (as always) with the GS on the GPS screen.So I'm about to hit the intercept, flick from GPS to NAV, and from there on the airspeed is always approx. 20 kts different to both the GPS screen, and what I see if I flick the selector back to GPS.Why?I'm finding that when I'm tracking the ILS, the NAV has to be selected, and I have to use the GPS screen to see what my approach speed is.Or am I just doing this all wrong??????Looking for inspiration.ThanksAllblack

I looked around feverishly yesterday, downloaded, looked again, downloaded again ... well you get the idea. We all have those days.I found NO useless gauge extraction tool that performed the simple task of comparing the gauges called in each FS2K2 panel, and sorting those out of the "Gauges" folder with no links to panels.I think I have found one that is easy to use, and that does the job.But, Nicola Marangon, even though you've put together a good tool, I cannot justify a $15 (USD) outlay for it. Hi all, I am sorry if this has already gone through the forums but I searched and could find nothing. I had a crash when approaching Munich (EDDM) so I uninstalled german airports 1 and reinstalled it. Since doing this EDDM does not appear in any of the scenery listings under fs2002 scenery. It does appear in the addon section but you cannot get to that area when flight planning. I think the uninstall has removed a file. I would rather not go through the pain full reinstall of FS2002. Anyone any suggestions.TIADoug Johnson

First of all I'm using WinME and have had ZERO problems with the computer or FS or any add-ons. When I installed the new Dash 8 I put gdiplus.dll in the modules folder and added it to the FS2002.cfg old modules list (standard procedure). Now when I start FS it crashes before it gets to the first splash screen. The display goes black for a second and drops back to the desktop. If I delete gdiplus from the modules folder all is well again as long as I don't select the Dash 8.Has any one had this happen with WinME? Is gdiplus not compatible with WinME? I've tried multiple downloads with the same effect. Any other suggestions? I'd really like to get the Dash working. Thanks.

In the default approach procedures in FS2002 when exactly am I supposed to lower my gears? I generally lower them when my a/c intercepts the ILS, but for some planes, like the 747 i think it's a bit too late.Any ideas?Cheers!

I have been looking at the GMax program that came with FS2002 and it seems to require a Ph.D. in physics to run the thing. Am I correct or close? How tough is it really to create airport sceneries using GMax? What are the other types of scenery building programs? From my very limited understanding of GMax, it is supposed to be easier on frame rates. Here's where my thinking on this issue started out. Hi, Just installed this great jet. I have read materials thet come with this package but I don't see the directions for opening and closing of passenger door. I use the shift+e key which is default for simulator 2002 but it does not function and the door just stays open. Can someone tell me the correct key strokes to open and close door? Reports have come in that the Trinidad will ungracefully do a 'doggy squat' at the end of a pushback. When receiving ATIS in FS2002, they have been consistently reporting-" Temerature 15C Dew Point 15C".If I'm not mistaken- (from my limited weather study, I'm not a real pilot) that would mean where Temp and Dew Point collide..condensation will form as clouds or if on the ground as fog.Even though I'll get an ATIS of 10-15 miles visibility.Am I right or wrong...I think back to the Kennedy Accident where many VFR real life pilots reported that they would have thought twice about launching when the ATIS at the Cape on that evening had Temp and Dew point within a few degrees of each other suggesting the liklihood of fog compounded with night flight over water (a bad recipe fo…

AllJust got the yoke and all works well in Direct x mode mapping.I had some wierd problems when using their manager software. I had pushed one of the mapping tool bar buttons and vuella... joystick and rudders were gone in windows control manager devices. Ok reinstalled and all works well in directx mode. Can assign keys in Fs2002, adjust sensitivites etc. So I decided I would take advantage of the some of the programming features i.e. shift button to double your programming power (non-directx). Well, nothing works after it is programmed. I hit the activate current map but nothing. I double checked in Fs2002 to make sure I did not have that button assigned as directx. - I…
