Hello all I installed the cloud pack and in my MSFS2002/Texture is the FS-SKY-World folder but I can't get the start up icon to work from the main folder or even the desktop. The cloud pack works in MSFS2002 because I can get it to work in the "Select Flight" scenerio's. What am I not doing ?Thanks.........SJ

I hope I'm not missing this simple task! I shoot the approaches just fine but if I come in a little hot or into a shorter runway, I can't get the reversers to work (on any airplanes). If I'm using the throttle quadrant, the handles seem to want to go into reverser position but they just bounce around a little and don't ever go into reverser mode. F2 is what I'm using. Thrustmaster with a slide throttle, maybe that's the problem? Anyone with any comments or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I know that most users are now using FS2k2 but I'm still using FS2k. (Don't hold that against me!) I am also, just now, considering buying FSTraffic but have some questions and concerns. Anyone out there who uses or has used FSTraffic may be willing to chime in here and help me out??1)Traffic changes direction with wind? How's this work? Do I need 6 different sets of tracks for ORD?2) If I'm flying over Dallas on my way to LAX, will the Dallas tracks interfere or slow-down my flight up at 35,000 feet? I shouldn't see or hear anything up there right?3) Doesn't this slow down my sim if I'm flying in London and FSTraffic is running tracks over New York, and Toky…

Bunged the 41.09 Nvidia drivers in my XP Home based system this week. Install was straightforward and I think I am getting better FPS; but that may be wishful thinking. However, what I am getting occasionally are multicoloured textures instead of bitmaps on some aircraft and, more rarely, on scenery polygons. I have DirectX 8.1 and a couple of GeForce 2 MX cards (100/200 64MB, 400 32MB).This is a ddraw.dll problem, right? Or not? What to do, blue?Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. Please don't tell me to buy new cards. If that were to be necessary to solve this issue, I'll just revert to previous drivers. Thanks.http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.sw…

I was wondering how FS2002 would handle a solar eclipse so went to South Africa - FAWB - and set up Dec 4 - 8:17am.Attached is the result. At least they appear to be in the correct place in the sky.Ah well.

Ok, I know I've seen this before, but my keywords aren't turning up anything in search. Does anybody know what the order of the values in the Aircraft.cfg file for view height, forward/back, and lateral are? Thanks.

My buddy brought over his P4 system because of issues loading FS2002. I have it loaded on my machine, and had no problem with it at all. I tried to help so I had him leave this system here.So I start trying to install MSFS2002 on his P4 system here. It seems when installing (FULL) it gets anywhere from 15% to 40% of CD1 and the installation stops, and the computer hangs. This forces me to have to shut down or reset the machine to bring it back. The other night I did it 3-4 times and one of them damaged data on the HD and would not boot up again, something became corrupt. I repartitioned, reformatted, same thing. Stops on Cd1. That was a frustrating night, luckily it was j…

Senior model designer John Rogers has just announced the release of new more frame rate friendly models for ProjectAI users. What this means is, your AI aircraft will be more detailed, more realistic, yet will give you better frame rates than the original ProjectAI models. As the Version 2 models are implemented, you can download them at the following link:http://www.pai.simairport.com/files/paintkits/NOTE: The B737-300 model will require new textures. You CANNOT use the originally released textures on this model.Mater Texture Artist Ben Alfoldi is currently hard at work to replace these textures. They will become available as soon as possible. Thanks for using ProjectAIKJ

Hello Gang! There is no question that Sheryar Ansari has outdone himself with the KDCA scenery. This scenery is very well done and it is also very accurate. After flying a couple of circuits around the area, I noticed that my FPS would not go any higher than 8 when having the airport in sight or being at the airport itself. I know that this is supposed to be a GMAX based scenery, which in theory, should yield better frames than non GMAX sceneries. I usually get between 7 and 11 at SimFlyers sceneries (Except DFW), with AI traffic in full swing. With Sheryar's KDCA I am getting 8 FPS withou any AI active. Has anyone experienced similar results or is this something tha…

For anyone interested in repainting planes: is there anyone interested in painting Chuck Lamb's EMB-120 in Comair's metallic colours? I've seen this plane so many times but can't seem to find a decent FS2002 model of it anywhere. Hopefully someone will take me up on my request :) George

I have purchased CFS3 and, contrary to many other CFS fans, I have not had a terrible time getting it to run, in fact it runs rather well on my system. BUT - it is NOT a simulator. CFS2 was much more a simulator than "3", but FS2K2 is so far ahead of CFS3 in the quality of flight, views, and cockpits that I am becoming concerned that FS2K4 may end up being a step backwards. FS2K2 has so many wonderful add-ons, of such high quality, that the thought of losing them by going to a CFS3 engine would keep me from buying it. Nothing from CFS2 can be imported into or converted to CFS3, which means a lot of great CFS2 add-ons are going to be lost in the transition. Personally, I…

Hello everyone,I'm trying to set my Dad's computer up with FS2002, but he's using an all-in-wonder Radeon 8500 (128M) which is mostly for video editing. . .anyway, FS doesn't look bad except that the panel themselves seem to go out of focus and the mouse leaves trails. Then after a second or so the panel snaps back to a sharp image and then the process repeats. Anyone know what to do to fix this? Thx!-drewdad's system:WinXP ProIntel i850 w P4 1.71024M PC800Radeon 8500 All in wonderand WAY too much junk running in the background :-lol :-hah

Hi, Just installed this great scenery- job well done. But I am having a problem with large white blocks showing up. I know scenery requires gerrish grays trees and I do have them installed and it definitely adds beautiful trees and so forth to scenery but how do you get rid of the large white blocks? I have textures and so forth maxed out. Thanks for responding. S.

Is anybody out there working on any UK airfields? Looking through the file library I see numerous EGLL downloads, but not much else. I'm looking for some of the smaller GA fields like Cranfield, Sywell, Biggin Hill, Nottingham etc. With the arrival of photographic scenery the default FS2k2 airports look a little bit, er, generic. Which they are. If anyone is working on something like this all I can offer is moral support and eager anticipation...

Prepared a flight in the flight planner generator last night for San Diego to Palm Springs.Even though I requested low alt V routes it sent me direct at a cruise altitude of 3,000. Obviously below the mountain range with peaks to 7,500 observed on my charts.1. Is this a bug w/in FS2002 (no regard to terrain clearance)?2. In real life, in IFR, conrollers are responsible for Terrain and traffic avoidance...correct? Would the responsibility for Terrain Clearance be that of the pilot when preparing an flight Plan and choosing a cruise altitude? Thanks,Greg

Hi, I'm embarrassed to ask this stupid question. I can help it, despite of my very limited English, I have managed to learn a lot - even the technical stuff-, during all these years. However I have tried with no success to get an answer, in my self learning style, about the meaning of the following:LOLBTWIMHOAnd the rest of abbreviations that people use in the forums, please help me I can't sleep anymore with such an unanswered question.

I'm having a serious problem with FS2002 crashing my PC. Now it does it about 80% of the time. I'm getting errors refering to "traffic.dll" and "atc.dll". It usually happens when I fly to/from airports that I have modified. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, do you know how to fix it?
