I recently changed to the Omega tweaked NVidia 40.72 driver and would like to stay with this guy, except for one problem! I can no longer disable the VIA Sideband Addressing using the NvMax tool. I have tried to directly edit the VIAGART and NVtweak sections of the Win/Me registry, but to no avail. If I can't disable SBA, I loose about half the pixel fill rate; which is just too much of performance hit on loading ground textures. Any further suggestions out there? My system is a Compaq P3/867/512M/GeForce4-4600. Formerly was using Omega 30.82 driver. Thanks for your assistance,Todd Rauppius

Hi all - quick question! If I install Cargo flightplans, what prevents the freighter a/c from coming to passenger gates?I haven't put any cargo's into my airports, for fear this will happen. Is there anything in AFCAD files which means cargo planes go to cargo ramps?ThanksRobhttp://www.btinternet.com/~rob.corp/images/sig.jpg

I've seen some extraordinary claims recently for incredible performance and visual improvements from individuals who have chosen to load Directx 9 beta / RC onto their systems. To be honest I have had a great amount of trouble believing some of these claims. Well, to cut to the chase, I would venture to suggest people might be suffering from the placebo effect or they have incidentally "un-broken" something that was broken previously. As far as I'm concerned, I could not see any reason why there should be any material change to any aspect of FS2002 performance or visuals by performing this upgrade. So I thought I would try it myself. And the results are quite simple. Absol…

Is there anyone who might be able to explain why this is happening? Usually it happens when I'm using the overhead panel, but it has also happened with the 2-D. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a setting somewhere I need to tweak? I would appreciate any help w/ this. Thanks!JohnKDNL

The new DCA scenery so GENEROUSLY uploaded for FREE is nothing short of exceptional, phenomenal, outstanding, superb, (insert your adjective here)!!!! I would have gladly paid money to get THIS type of attention to detail. This scenery is on par with SimFlyer's and does a good job of whooping many other sceneries on my hard-drive (and on my credit card statement). This add-on is to scenery what PIC767 is to panels and it is obvious that it is a labour of love (along with the LGA) by the Mr. Ansari. With that said, I call your attention to the poor quality of quite a few recent releases of scenery for FS2002 (and other things for that matter) by payware authors. It seems …

I am having problems trying to set the flaps for Oleksiy Frolov's Dash8-300. When I try to set them to any of the intermediate settings (5, 10 or 15 degrees) either they jump to 35 degrees or they shutter back and forth between 0 and 5 degrees until I set them back to 0. I can not get them to set to any of the intermediate settings. I am confident the installation is correct and I have FSUIPC V2.94.I tried asking this a few days ago, but didn't get any replies. Any assistance provided is greatly appreciated.

Hi,I am currently an owner of the CH products Yoke. The yoke is okay but I'm looking for even more realistic hardware. Namely: Yoke, Throttles, Rudder Pedals. I've read the review here at Avsim on the AFCS yoke w/throttle, I really like the yoke design etc, but the throttle is not appealing to me. If anybody has any pics of some of their sim hardware that they use, please post it here, I'm looking for good quality material, and I'm willing to spend some money as long as it's reasonable, e.g. $2,000+ for just throttles is unnacceptable: I'm no home cockpit builder, just looking for nice twin jet throttles, realistic yoke and pedals.Thank You for you helpPilot 737AWVA F/0 B…

On a flight from Barcelona to Heathrow at 18,000 ft, a short while after passing over the mountains between Spain and France (at N44*47 and E001*15,)I wanted to land at the nearest alternative airport suitable for my DC 9.I tried to find an airport using FS Nav but that was no help.(Maybe I just don't know how to use it well enough)Is there an answer? (In real life I well know that I wouldn't have started the flight without planning alternative landing sites)

All of the recent comments regarding payware versions of aircraft or scenery got me thinking....a good trivia question would be what person or group was the first to charge for a Microsoft Flight Simulator Add-On. If you have any ideas or know for sure, post it here please!CraigP.S. Then the guys who dont like payware can write that person an email and thank them for opening up the flood gates for other developers :)Craig

Has anyone ever had this problem?:After installing CFS3, and then running FS2K, it seems that I would loose most of my FS2K scenery..All I get is a blurry Flat scenery surface...This happened at least twice, and both times while flying into KSFO..There was absolutely nothing except flat land and water. I did however, able to see other AI aircrafts around. After uninstalling CFS3 and rerunning the same flight Plan, every thing went back to normal..When I reinstalled CFS3, the problem came back...I'm not sure if this has anything to do with either simulators, or maybe just my really weak system specs:WinXP (no service pack)AMD 1.0GHZ @266FSB512MB DDRGeForce2 Pro...23.11/27.2…

Hi Guys, just a short question here. I want to upgrade my video card and I am trying to decide between these two cards. Don't laugh, I have an older system that I know will be a bottleneck at this point. Right now, I have a Voodoo5500 in my system, which is a CeleronII 550 oc'd to 850. I also have 256MB sdram. Which one of the cards would you all recommend. I mostly play sims, but also some First Person Shooters(Medal of Honor) Thanks for any help.Ron

The last 2 addon sceneries I've added that had an exclude line to be placed in the scenery cfg I couldn't add it.When I went to paste it in the cfg I got a message that there wasn't enough memory to complete the operation and to quit one or more applications and try again.I had nothing else running except explorer everything else was shut down.Like the first one I had to send the cfg and the exclude to a friend of mine and he put it in for me and sent the cfg back to me. Anyone else come across this or have an idea what causes it??My system is a brand new P4 2.53,512 PC2700 ram,GF4 Ti4200 64m agp card and OS 98SE.http://www.enter.net/photoalbum/data/reddog/905260.jpgSceen…
