This is part of Ross word Firstly, FS2002. I used my Supermarine AW Spitfire version 2 for the first test flight. On the taxi apron at Coningsby sitting with a dead engine I switched on. Nothing from the chair! I thought, oh dear, before realising that you would not "feel" the sound of a switch clicking. Set mixture and hit the starter. I'm thinking about making a large adventure set to simulate a career in aviation from training to bush flying to air taxi to commuter airlines to large commercial airlines... and maybe a few things in between. But in order to do that, I need to have an adventure maker... what is the best one out there to use? Freeware is strongly preferred but payware recommendations will be appreciated too. Thanks in advance!

I have a small problem around NY city with the beta version ofFS Genesis landclass. It may be fixed in the pay version (which I will get) I just thought I would post this to see if anyone else sees something like this. Maybe i installed it wrong or have some kind of conflict? I have had to reload my OS & I can't find my CH USB drivers. The CH web site seems to be down. Can anyone send me the USB drivers or a link to them. Thanks.Pat Callaghan

Is there a way to increase the distance of the ILS and VOR DME service distances? It seems Microsoft has used the general useable distances listed in the AIM(Airmans Information Manual) for programming purposes.Any help would be appreciated.Chuck

Hi all, i want to make the best possible aircraft using the above combination. can anyone tell me what changes I have to make to get the best possible 747 as far as a fully functioning FMC, flight dynamics,etc. do i need to use the PSS airfile to get rid of thew annoying oscillating engines that seem to affect certain plane/panel combinations? appreciate all comments.

OK! Help!!Fs2KPro, running fine. No probs. Then, over last few days, crashing aircraft. Sink Rates, Too Fast, etc etc.Is there a patch I should have added to installation?Rmce

There have been many threads about the newly released DirectX 9 software and it also seems that these threads still are not achieving what they set out to do and that is.........What are your experiences with this product not anything about the install process or the slow download time or Grandmas cookies.Just lets answer one question????What are your experiences using it with MSFS2002...frame rates..smoothness.....sharpness.....Thats all.Also list your Video card and drivers.Merry Christmas

Hello genioussMy son has all his school work on his own drive E. Its is still there but we cannot access it! It asks us to reformat. In system summaries it appears to have lost its volume label code so I guess thats why it wont read; btw it says 0 bytes. I just bought a new computer and couldn't wait to install FS2k2. Spent hours transferring data files from my old system (Win98) to the new system (Win XP home). Everything works great except for two very curious problems. In Full Screen Mode, when I press the Alt key to call up the menu, the sim pauses and nothing happens...no menu. The sim won't unpause until I hit the Alt key again. Same thing with the F10 key for the kneeboard hide/display. I have to hit the F10 key four times to unpause the sim. I t seems like the windows are not opening. I've fiddled with all sorts of settings, but nothins seems to make a difference. Is there something I'm missing, or is thi…

Hi all.How do you add additional lights, like a tail logo light? Is this something that can be added via the .cfg file, or does it require a change to the .air file? I'd like to get a tail logo light for the default 737.Thanks.

Some time back there was a post wherein users,including me, claimed better frame rates and FSAA with DX9.0. Many pundits immediately discarded it as "placeibo" effect or whatever that means. Typically, any title that uses DirectX will install the version of DirectX it requires in order to run. I just started using fs2k2 and was just messing around to familiarize myself with the features. I have been experiencing a weird thing, unlike fs2000. The problem, if it is one, is that I noticed when I click on the panel "HDG" button the "LVL" button lights up and when I click on "LVL" it should turn off (as in FS2000), but it doesn't. If I turn Flight Director off, the "LVL" button does go off. But then as soon as I enable "HDG" again the "LVL" comes on and cannot be turned off. Is this a bug of some kind Re: XP or maybe some kind of conflict with my nVidia xfx Ti4200 video card? I really don't know what is going on. Never had that problem with FS2000. This happen…

This time last year I had a 700mhz Athalon with 192MB ram and a V5500 video card. Flying over Manhattan was a dismal slideshow at 6 FPS, and even then with the sliders set to moderate setings. So I entered what we'll call Richard's Selfish Phase. Whenever I had extra money (or money I'll call extra just for discussion purposes) I upgraded. A GF Ti200 increased the FPS to 10 in April. Windows XP in May did nothing for the framerate but improved the stability a great deal. In October I sold a week of vacation time to buy the VRXP mobo, Athalon XP 2000+, and 512MB memory. I was then able to max out the sliders and get 18 fps in my little flight over Manhattan. Two days ago …
