Hi,I'm trying to figure out why certain gauges cannot run on my rig. I'm using an Athlon XP 2200+, GF4 Ti 4400, Latest drivers, DX9, 512MB RAM, Win XP home. Nothing OC'd.My biggest problmes seem to revolve around the TC_Fuelstatus gauge and RealCRT, both of which I truly miss. When I load a panel with these gauges, it'll work from 10-50 seconds, then FS will either quit or lockup, requiring CNTL-ALT-DEL to kill it. I had FS2002 on an older computer with Win98 and all worked well. Now I have WinXP and it won't go. I'm wondering if there's a problem in Win XP or FS2002.CFG that makes it unstable.Thanks for any assistance...-Matt

I worked out a table of power settings for various flap and gear configurations for specific rates of descent for FlightOne's Iron Knuckles DC-9-30. These data are useful for those who enjoy hand-flying IFR approaches. This table (a word document), uploaded as a zip file ('DC-9 Power settings.zip'), will be posted to the AVSIM library shortly. I hope this file will be useful for those who may be looking for data of this kind.

Let's say that I set all fuel tanks to 30%. Then I go back to the panel and after second or two fuel jumps again back to 100% (full). Has anybody faced that problem already?Nejc

Can someone please tell me how to completely get rid of Nvidia Drivers on a Ti-4600 using Windows XP. I remove them using the control panel but when I reboot windows sees my card and reloads drivers for it. Thanks for any help. Also and Ti-4600 users, whats the best Drivers right now for MSFS.

Noticed it recently, and seemed to have happened with video card o/cing. Disabled o/c and still have to set DV at startup. Is there a way to force this? Automatically Apply DV settings at startup IS checked.Thanks and good night

I just downloaded the Falcon 50 but to use it properly I need FS2002 PRO. My question is, do I have to do a reinstall of the add-on aircraft, modules, scenery, etc that I have in the standard version or can I just copy the directories affected?Perhaps someone can guide me as to what directories I need to copy from the standard version. I just don't want to reinstall everything if I don't have to.

Hi all !My wife has baught me a trial hour lesson flying a Cessna 152. I can take it anytime in the next 12 months but I would really like to get a decent 152 so I can do some virtual training at the airfield I will be flying from. Does Dreamfleet or ilk do a 152 ? It would be superb to get as realistic a panel as possible.ThanksNick

Anybody know the difference between FSDS2 and GMAX? Specifically how they display as AI traffic? I know of the "floating" airplane effect of earlier FSDS designs in FS2K2 so I don't use them as AI traffic. Hi all, This is O/T so sorry.I have overclocked for the first time and I don't know much about overclocking. I had a 1.47 Ghz AMD Athlon 1700Xp and I have set the external bus to 140Mhz so the processor is now running at 1.54Ghz. I tried to change the multiplier from 11.0 to 12.5 but I could not. Is this what is ment when people say that AMD processors are 'locked'?Also will this do any damage to my system? Apart form running faster, what are the effects of overclocking by this amount?

Hi,I noticed (under the "technical" tab I belive) that there is a setting limit TCAS range or something like that and it defaults to 40nm.Does this mean when I set it to 250 or something like that I'll be able to have TCAS even with my navigation display set at 240 on the PSS A320?i don't have time to test it right now,so I was wondering if anyone knows the answer/has triezd it yet?

Greetings all,Can someone remind me of the syntax for using multiple FS2002.cfg files to use different setups for different aircraft.This is very handy when you want to use your yoke, throttle, keys, etc assignments for different aircraft automatically, ie it loads the correct .cfg file based on the aircraft you use.Thanks for your help.

I am experiencing severe audio/video stutter lately. I recently downloaded Directx 9 (twice), reloaded FS2002, ran a virus check and have checked to see that I have the most recent audio driver for my system. I still have the stutters. When I kill my sound, by hitting "Q", the problem goes away but so of course does the sound. I feel kind of silly landing at LAX in a 737 that sounds like a glider because there's no sound. I would appreciate any suggestions from this well informed group.Thank you and Happy New Year,Chuck

Hi folks,Please excuse my stupid :-newbie question and also sorry if this has been asked before. I don't have time to trawl through all the previous posts.I have two HDs in my box, and FS2K2 on C:, along with gigs of all the other stuff you usually find on a C: drive.I don't feel that FS is running at it's best on there ( sluggish, crashing, lock-ups),despite cleanups and defrags, so I thought of sticking it on the D: drive on its own and seeing if that helps.The thing is, when I put the CD in, I don't see a way to install it to D:, only start or uninstall.So do I have to uninstall FS from C: first? Then how can I force it to install to D:?Do you experts consider this pla…

I noticed that Microsoft FS2002 Pro creates a MD-83 folder complete with aircraft/texture files in the aircraft directory. What is this and why doesn't it appear on the aircraft list in the program?Seems odd that this would be installed when it is not listed as one of the installed planes.MJC

Long ago now I changed sopme cfg file to delete the `set parkingbrake` message on the screen. Can anyone remind me how I did thisand where?? The reason I am asking is that I have downloaded a newpushback panel which appears not to recognise either (.) or mychange of keyboard command for setting the brake. Perhaps bringingback the message on the lower left of the screen may achieve this.Any ideas please?YoursJohn

(I know the file is one of the .cfg files in the main directory) I am transferring FS2002 to another computer and I really don't want to have to re-configure the controllers again! Forgive me if this has been covered a million times, but...When flying at certain airports I get a grey box on the ground that follows me around. It's like it is under the airplane and will creep into view occasionally. Only happens occasionally. I'm sure it's a video card issue, but wondered if there was a quick fix. Is it possible to set up a flightplan in FSNav using a SID/STAR, then export it into FS2k2? I've tried but when ATC changes the departure/arrival runway it screws everything up. It's the most difficult selecting the arrival runway when building the flightplan, because I'm never sure which one ATC will use. And when you're enroute you can really import the new flight plan.thanks!

Noted on Lago's site that they have updated their ultralight package to version 1.02....Within the announcement they mention that users trying to use some of the pirated codes floating around on the Internet may find some "unexpected results"....This begs the questions (assuming the given that piracy is bad):-What is meant by "unexpected results"? Has Lago put in code that could damage a system in some way? Never mind the legal issues (it's against U.S. law, and one company I worked for was successfully sued for doing the same thing, never mind that the pirate tried to steal a $30,000 software package from us).
