I'm very interested to hear what people's results are with these beta drivers. As Drobson originally pointed out, these drivers appear to be the first that let us use anisotropic filtering without causing any sort of blurriness or "ghosting" of the red overlay text or ATC text messages.So I'm interested to know if:1. Do you still get blurred or ghosting red text when using these drivers?2. Do you feel subjectively that the image quality has improved?3. Any stability problems or issues?4. Hi all:Question Number 1. I noticed when checking for correct time at locations using worldtimeserver.com That when I put in the correct time for the location say for today at Port Moresby in Papau New Guinea which was 10:46 am and the GMT time is 00:58. When putting the correct time in MSFS the gmt is off by an hour (01:45). is this a small glitch whith MSFS 2002?Question Number 2. I love using Bill Grabowski's panel on the ERJ 145. I KNOW IT'S NOT REALISTIC TO HAVE AN AUTO-THROTTLE ON THIS PLANE, BUT I'D LIKE TO ADD ONE, IF POSSIBLE. Long flights on AP inevitably end in disaster if I try to leave the cockpit (room). Overspeed is the culprit. Please, if someone is so talented as to create an autothrottle option for this plane, I would be most appreciative. Thanks, Stan

Hello all!Happy New Year!Haven't been posting for a while, but have been here in lurk @ enjoy mode.Now reverted back to 'yack' mode, lolNow the question.... Can anyone PLEASE tell me what frame rates I might expect from FS2002 when going from a 500 mhz Celeron to a 1.4 Ghz Celeron?Right now...I crawl along at 3-15 FPS depending on at taxi or at FL's of 250 and higher. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!!!Cheers!Mitch R.P.S. Am running on an ABIT BM6 mobo...and am getting the PowerLeap adapter. Also when using X-plane 5.66, I get rates that sustain around 16-50 FPS range.

Well, after the debacle with the upgrade from 1700xp to 2400xp, I upgraded my BIOS, now my monster fusion video card doesn't want to work. Does anyone know where I can get some XP Diamond Monster Fusion drivers from. I've tried everywhere, I had this card working on my machine earlier, flashed the BIOS, now I can't find the drivers anywhere on my machine. The CD that came with the card won't work either, it's for 95/98.Any suggestions?Thanks,Lobaeux

Why do some of my aircraft rocket off like they're being catapulted from a carrier after slewing? Even if I have engines off, they shoot off going like 100 mph instantly.

I saw that www.alliedfsgroup.com took their GREAT 737s of their site. Are there any groups out there who release 737s of similair quality? (GMAX or non-Gmax)? Freeware Flight Group has some but not that many liveries...or am i missing something?Thanks 4 the help!

Hi, Please have a look at this comparison. I spent the better half of the last 24hrs trying to crack this Gmax .x file buisness. I was able to add dynamic shine to a model. It looks good on my system, which does not support alpha channels at the moment. Is there a benefit to not using alphas? (framerate increase?) Would you rather have the choice of dynamic shine or alpha, or both?One drawback is Gmax shine cant be turned off. You input is appreiciated...these pics show sphere #1 with the minimum gmax shine allowed. Sphere #2 shows the non modified gmax specular highlights. Pics taken at dawn, day, and dusk. I just installed the new version of ServInfo. The new map feature is a real jaw dropper! All flights are displayed on the map, and flight info, include route display is just a mouse click away, much like whazzup, except that it draws very quickly on my slow machine, and it doesn't keep crashing.Great work Michaeal Franzeskakis! Right now I am really PO. Each and every aircraft I BUY (notice I say buy) has a problem. Ok, so the autopilot is on. I'm at about 20,000 ft. The autopilot is ok but then all the sudden the stall warning comes on. My speed is about 280 knots and my vs is even like 800! The plane flips up and stalls even more I try to save it but whenever I let go it flies up like it needs me to ram the joystick into its base to get the dang thing level. After a while the autopilot tries to save itself but gets the same results, eventually my plane hits the ground at about 500 knots with the nose straight up! Oh man! I am so aggravated. It happens with each and every plane. Has anyone else…

Does anyone know of a program besides the troubleshooter associated with Win XP Pro to determine if there is a problem with hardware acceleration of the graphics card. A couple of weeks ago a real bad storm blew through. My computer was off but my UPS was on. Since then the graphics in FS2002 are not as sharp as what they were. I get a wavy distortion in some areas and brown patches when I pan views. I have another program that the only way to get the graphics to appear correctly is to turn off hardware acceleration of the graphics card. I have pretty much determined it is a hardware problem. Another "new user" sort of question.Is there any way to tone down, or turn off, the "bouncing betty" effect with rough landing surfaces (such as gravel). In my opinion, the effect is a bit overdone.-Basil

Usually, the afcad files I install, are not on the original name of the airport, so I need to change all my AI traffic to the new ICAO.I want to know how can I backup the original fs2002 airport afcad, so I would install the airport on the original ICAO and will have option to restore the default.Thanks

How do you get rid of the continuos annoying beeping while flying.

After many hours of frustration with the MJ 777 and modified default MSFS 777 panel that kept causing screen freezes, with some online assistance from an FS friend, I married the MJ 777 to an edited POSKY 777 FDE (2002.3.1 - their best FDE ever for the 777) and then assigned the PSS 777 panel to it. Amazingly, it all works and it looks superb. The MJ 777 wheels are where they should be on the ground !I think this is gonna be "it". Does anyone know of any fix for the frankfurt skyscrapers or of any scenery that was made to put the buildings back in the right place or of any 3rd party Frankfurt city scenery etc?Any help or info would be appreciated.
