Hi All,Is there any way to overide the Mach 4.65 (2666kts GS) that the sim seems to have enforced?I am trying to experiment with Mach 5 plus flight models for Hypersonic purposes & it is proving very annoying!!!Is there a param in the sim config file that can be tweaked?Look forward to the answer.Laz.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I missed the answer. Is it safe to delete the sceneries I don't use in the Scenery Library in FS2K2? Right now I just unchecked them.Thanks.Steven

Hello all, I have an experiment for you. I have been messing with my Riva Tuner trying to do away with a bit of swimming or shimmering textures. I'm using the 41.09 detonators with Riva tuner tweaking. What I get is this...at about 2,000 or 1800 feet or so i start to see some swimming in the textures out at about 3 miles or so, doesn't go past about 4-5 miles either. It gets pretty bad down low and almost goes totally away at higher altitude (like above 5,000') As I go higher the band of swimming/shimmering seems to creep out like a ring, mind you its not very bad, but is this just the price to pay for a GF card? Nope,it does not exist. But if I could vote for an addon that is what I would really like to have. With today's GF4 runnign AA and AF at the same time is to heavy a frame rate hit. But depending on the situation both settings have their advantages.Example one: Mountain area with coulds. No real wide view here so AF is not really necessary while AA works very nice and calms down the swimming of fog and mist in the valleys. My preferred setting would be AA4.Example two: Flat area, good visibility not too much frame rate intense scenery. AF 8 would be great.Example three: Landing scenario in busy airport. No need for AA and AF here. All I am interested in is framerates. Tur…

I downloaded you nice ATR but I've run into some problems.I went looking for your FAQ but your website is under construction.1. It seems nearly impossible to taxi slowly and make turns. I've already set my rudder sensitivity on high but the a/c won't react on input quickly. It's hardly possible to turn in tight places or enter a runway.2. I have a love affair with KLAX :) ! Just returned from a trip from NZAA (Auckland New Zealand), via KLAX to/from KDEN. While the UA B777 flight to NZAA was very uneventful, fog in KPHX kept us on the ground at the gate for the AWE flight back to KDEN, for about 5 hours- this was at the gate at terminal one, although we parked on the tarmac for 2 hours both at KLAX and at KPHX too. I would like to know why the tachometer does not keep track of the running time, every time I select a plane the hours are reset to 0000.Is there a way around this. Hi!I know that there are various topics like "Whats the best FS graphic card", "What are the best settings", etc. so please excuse another.I "upgraded" from my MSI GeForce3 TI200 zo a brand new Radeon 9500Pro 128MB. Obviously not a to big step. Well, actually it even was a step backwards. I'm using Catalist 3.0 and I tried almost every single possible setting from 2xAA to 16xAniso. First I always get this "unsharp" display text (e.g. ATC text) and second the frames are extremly unstable. When in cockpit I get some unlimited 40-50fps with PSS 777 for example. Outside view of Mels 777 20-25fps but with only one single AI aircraft in background frames drop to 6-9!If this is …

This has happened to me today. The Iron Nuckles DC9 aircraft is not in the menu anymore. They mysteriously disappeared although I still have the Flight 1 DC9 directory. This happened after I used Load Manager to turn off the alarm systems. They aren't in the recycle bin either and I still see the directories and files for this aircraft. FS2002 just doesn't see this aircraft anymore. Has anyone had these aircraft just mysteriously dissappear from their aircraft menu without deleting the aircraft?

I've been away from flightimming for about 7 months after my computer went to the eternal scrap-pile. Right before I left, Project Freeware had returned. They always were my favorite group, but now I can't seem to find them anywhere. Did they fold again? Can anyone shed any light on this for me, as I would surely love to fly their stuff again. Just got done upgrading to a MSI KT4ULTRA-FISR board, XP2700+ and 1 gig of DDR333 PC2700 memory. All I can say is WOW! FS2002 never ran smoother! I thought I had a fast system before (KT3Ultra, XP2200+, 512M PC2100) but this new system is unbelievable! Can't wait 'till the new nVidia FX boards come out, to add to it.The KT4Ultra-FISR board is one sweet board with everything a man could want. 6 USB-2, 2 Firewire, RAID, LAN, 8X AGP, built in 6 channel Dolby Digital sound....etc. Anyone contemplating an upgrade, I highly recommend this combo.BTW.. I thought I would have to re-install my WinXP, but to my surprise, it picked everything up, asked for the new drivers and went on…

I have problems with the graphics in FS2K2. Often after selecting and loadingsome flight the graphics displaying the aircraft panel get corrupted. It looksas if sime kind of wallpapper is overlayed and mixed with the aircrats instrumentpanel.The problem often appear after I press alt to choose a menuitem. When this happensit won't help to end and then reload the flight. I must close FS2K2 and restart it.Does anybody recognize this problem and maybe has a solution to it?I have a AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 256M ram Asus V8170 graphics card and Win XP pro.

I downloaded and installed the new exe for GA maker(1,1.6) and now I can get to my airports and make a traffic file for them. It puts it all in the right place and then I use Tcompiler in Ttools to recompile. Everything appears to work ok. Now the GA maker plans the AI to some non tower controlled airports even so. No big deal, i use AFCAD to put a tower on the fields I see in the traffic file for my airport. I check the flight plans and look at ALL the airports and If they do not have towers than I add them using AFCAD. Now is where I have a problem. In AFCAD I can see most of the airports. I have the update and I press the F4 key to use all airports. When I enter my local airport,(CYXC) I get an error message that says "No airport listed under CYXC. Please try again."
