How do I change the Anti-Aliasing Amount in FS? I have an nvidia GForce4 Ti4600, can I change the amount of AA in FS or do I have to change the amount in the card's settings? Thanks!Cpudan80 :) :+

ATC in FS2002 seems to have changed Descent Procedures.During the last 4 or 5 flights. ATC has cleared me for descent inincrements of 1000 feet.The last flight I flew was cruising at FL370. On descent, ATC clearedme from FL370 down to 10,000 Feet in increments of 1000 feet.As a consequence, it took me longer to descend and at the end of descent, I was too close to the airport and way above the ILS altitude.On flights prior to this, I was cleared from altitude down to FL200 in one clearance, then to 15,000 feet and then down from there.I used FS2002 flight planner to create these flights.Anyone have any idea why the change?I am assuming that I inadvertantly change some set…

I had the opportunity at work to try out a GeForce 4 card (read the subject for exact device). I must say that the visual qualities in FS2k2 moving from a VooDoo 3 3000 are amazing. However my new frame rates suck! I'm getting 2-6 frames with the MelJet777 at the new Beirut scenery. I klnow that this combo is pretty work intensive so I switched to a 767PIC and went to a default KCLT. Still all I got was 2-6 FPS. And it jerked all over the place! I used whatever drivers were on Nvidias site and I had most all of the settings cranked to the right and all the Transform and Lighting and all that checked as well. I know my VooDoo3 3000 can't even use all of this but it…

Hi guys. Ever since I bought FS2002, I have had no problems minimizing the program window to go to another program until now. When I maximize the FS2002 window again - I get a black screen. just tonite i switched on FS2002 and a strange problem has just surfaced..it doesn't matter which aircraft i use, the yoke looks like i'm holding it over too the right.i've tested the yoke calibration and it's spot on.but when i go back into Fs2002 the yoke inside the VC is right over the side as if im turning right,if i try to take off the aircraft just flips over.also the aerlerons are the opposite way to the yoke..work that out!!!!this is for all aircraft..ive tried deleting my FS2002.cfg file and restarting a fresh one ,but that didn't work either.i have no rudders or throttle plugged in any ideas appreciated steve athlon 2200xpwinXP sp1512mb 2100epox 8k3a+ m…

Hi,i currently have a very modest sound setup in my PC, an onboard AC'97 card and two little speakers connected to it. Works well though for use in FS2k2. I'm reading a lot about modern soundcards and 4.1 or 5.1 speakersets for audio purposes but i'm wondering whether FS2k2's sounds will really improve when i have those. If improvements are eminent, what sets/cards should be considered ? (I'm on a budget for this...)Thanx, Cas

I'm looking for guidance on flying the King Air 350 (and turbo-props in general). What does one look for at cruise (prop rpm, N1 speed, fuel flow)? What is auto-feather...it's not the same as the primary governors, correct? Not looking for someone to post a lesson in this forum...just directions to finding this info. The MSFS aircraft manual is weak in areas.

Okay, normally I avoid onboard *anything* like the plague. However, I'm in the market to build a new system at some point in the next couple months, and I've been seriously looking at motherboards with the NForce2 chipset (This could be my first AMD system - I've always bought Intel but I'm not particularly jazzed about the P4). One of the options on these boards is 6.1 "theater-quality" sound. I'm currently using an SB Live, which has done okay but isn't anything to write home about. Does anyone out there use an NForce mobo and have experience with the onboard sound? Is it any good, particularly for playing games such as FS?

Is it possible to run multiple instances of FS2002, where they reside on different HD partitions but are on the same OS? I'm wondering how the system files for FS2002 (that might go to the Windows folder) are handled.My OS is Win XP.Thanks for any information.Bruce.

I am using the Detonator 42.01 series drivers and I am eperiencing some problems with Fs2002. When I switch views the screen takes about three times as long to draw now, and it sort of bleeds the previous screen over the new one. Is there an easy fix for this? I have tried turning the antistropic settings off and on, and adjusted the aliasing and nothing seems to fix it.. My only other option is to go back to the 41.09 series drivers, but I get a much better frame rate with the new ones.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksGene

If I make a left or right turn while flying, with ailerons animation I also see speedbrake deployng in the same side of the turn, and when I stop turning they come down....please does anyone say why???Thanks in advance,Dagghito

HI there,Anyone could explaine to me why on 2 computers with the same FS2002 (exactly the same), one is AMD Athlon1.4 512SDRAM Geforce3 Ti500, and the other PIV2.4Ghz DDR512 Geforce4 Ti460, both win Win XP and the same Nvidia drivers, the Wilco A2002 airports runs much better (fps I mean) on the older AMD machine that on new one.And the more strange is that every of the other sceneries freeware or payware runs faster (almost 50%) than the AMD computer.I really don't know whats wrong, since i was surprise with the complexity of the sceneries and didn't hurt the fps on the AMD machine!Cheers,Miguel

Greetings - After installing bush sceneries (multiple files grouped by author names), I always end up running into trouble. At startup now, I always get the "building scenery database" run, which is a sign of trouble. Thereafter, I sometimes (not always) have trouble installing more scenes; sometimes I've lost the borders/coastlines on my 'map view'; sometimes I then get errors trying to use the airport listing and/or 'go to'function. I install scenes one at a time, and test them. I've done a clean install and started from scratch, and it's happening again - this is getting really time consuming and I just want to fly!
