Could someone point me in the direction of the best chipset drivers for a Asus A7A266 motherboard. After lots of experimenting I feel that I have the best drivers for the video card, sound card etc etc but as its the motherboard that links it all together I suspect my poor performance is some way linked with the chipset drivers not being the best.Your help is much appreciated. After downloading and playing with that AN-2 that just hit the Avsim file library I have now decided to find that DC-3 that everyone was showing off some months back, does anyone recall this creation?I believe it was offered in two versions, a freeware one and a shareware/donation ware version?Anyone recall this one, if not which DC-3 is the best all around package for FS2002?JP

I've a question or two about how to utilize AI aircraft. Perusing the libraries, I'm seeing some nice "frame rate friendly" AI models that I would like to substitute for other aircraft in some of my AI flightplans. The readme's I've read so far on the downloaded aircraft show me how to install the aircraft in the aircraft folder, but otherwise assume I know how to utilize them as AI aircraft.Bad assumption! I don't know about the "u" part, but this assumption is making an "#####" out of "me." For instance, one says"1) Just put the 727_100_UPS_AI folder into your aircraft directory and assign the aircraft to some flightplanes and you're on your way."Is "flightplanes" …

Hi Guys I recently upgraded from a 1 Ghz Athlon to an Athlon XP2100+. After intially struggling with a heat problem all runs well again although I must admit I am a tad dissapointed with the performance. I seem to remember some specific performace issues (tweaks) that had to be done, both to my hardware in setup (AGP 4x, AGP aperture size, AGP Fast Write etc.)and to FS2002 in order to run it at a reasonable frame rate with reasonable graphics quality.I am currently running FS2002 with all sliders to the right - don't know if thats a good thing - and have limited frames to 25 *wishful thinking on my part*.My system specs are as follows:AMD Athlon XP2100+Asus A7A266 MB …

Great information from all responses.From what I gathered, I'll limit my RAM to 512 megs. As soon as I install the Celery 1.4 and the new memory (PC-133 CAS2) I'll get back with the results.In the meantime, I can't begin to tell anybody enough about how much performance gain I am enjoying by having gone to the latest and greatest BIOS update for my Abit BM6. It is the TZ bin. fileIf you also have an BM6 Mobo...I most SERIOUSLY suggest you update (if you know how....of course...). In adding---nothing. Tweaking---nothing, and by only updating the BIOS has given me constant and sustainable FPS rates in FS2002 of 7.5 to 10(at taxi) -low 20's in flight. Before the update, …

Anyone using these? I can't get FSFailure to work, and I suspect FS Nasty isn't working either.For FSFailure, I've copied the lines into the FS2002.cfg file. To test I set the %failure to 100%, but it does not fail the system.I've been using FSNasty while flying for a while and it has yet to fail anything.I'm using FSUIPC v2.95.

Hey guy's! I wanted to know if anyone knew how to make Inactive Panel Button work?? Like I have both the PSS 747/777 panels, and there are 2 buttons that are clickable, but do not control anything, So i am asking is there a way to make them control something?? I added lines in the CFG file in the Light's Section to see if they wroked, but no Dice!? I want to use them for Runway Turnoff light's, since that is what the buttons are named in the PSS Panel, the other button is named "Wing" for the Wing Leading Edge light's! I added these Light's to the POSKY 747, and MEL's 777, but half to make them come on with the Landing light's only, since i don't know how to activate the…

Is there a limit to the number of video cards you can install. I've got a GF3, a GF2, and a monster fusion that now works. Only problem is, now my main monitor has the shakes, very imperceptible, but I can tell they're there. I've got one monitor to the side and one to the top, to display throttle and overhead views. Now, with the monster fusion, I've got a little shaking to my main monitor. The overhead monitor isn't on, or even plugged in.Any ideas what's happening?Lobaeux

I did a flight last eve at dusk with no clouds below FL300 and found that the terrain textures around my a/c were terribly blurred. I had a small radius of reasonably clear textures immediately around my a/c and beyond that it looked absolutely rotten. Remembering having read a post about this I did a search and found a reply by Scoochy in which he posted his TERRAIN section from the FS.ini and I did a back-up and then redplaced mine with his. I went back into FS at CYUL and started up. I found my FPS were really quite bad. So I then set my Terrain Mesh Complexity to "0". Just to pass along to those who where following this...These new Thoroughbred-b's are very good, it is the luck of the draw but this chip is performing every bit as good as has been talked about.This one is a XP2600-D(333fsb) and I would be very very happy if it were not for the fact that this MB (Epox 8k3a) just doesnt handle the 166-FSB well, it was never really ment to either as it was a last ditch effort that made it before the product launch, so for a year old design I cant complain. But the fact is the Corsair-XMS3200CL2 is just a waist on this board.Even Corsair who used this board to demonstrate the XMS3200 say to up the Vdimm to 2.8, but it really has to have 2.9…

After reading a recent post and becoming inspired, I have decided to look into getting PIC767. I love commercial jets and fly DF734 a whole lot - my present favorite. I was just wondering however if the PIC cockpit has side/window views - can't stand being boxed in - gotta have a nice side view to look out through. All I saw was a main panel, overhead, throttle quad and the FMC.I'd appreciate a couple pics of the interior other than what is shown here in the AVSIM reviews and at the Wilco website - assuming there are other interior views.Thanks in advance,Adam

I just purchased a new motherboard and processor. I am going from an AMD VIA and migrating to Intel / P4.Questions:(1) Do I have to re-install XP Professional, or do I just plug the hard drive into the new motherboard and let XP upgrade all the drivers etc that it detects on the new motherboard? Has anyone done this?Or:(2) Install from scratch. Is there an easy way to migrate all applications, settings, etc to the new machine? I know XP supports migrating Settings for email and Office, etc.. I am using the PSS 777 panel with both the POSKY and Meljet 777 aircraft and I have the same problem with both of them. The problem is that I cannot adjust the Obs/Course setting by anything less than 10 degrees. Anyone know of a fix for this. I am using the POSKY/Meljet air files.CheersPhil

The register instruction in the readme says that after I type my first and last name I will see my keycode created, what I wonder is althought I haven't fill in my names the keycode is already sitting there. Is this right?BTW, I've already sent the 5$ registration fee to Maam and waiting for the registration key.
