Hi,just had a new AMD XP2000+/Soltek SL-75DRV5 mobo and one 512mb stick of DDR ram fitted together with a GF4 TI4400. It was a disaster.It would'nt run more than 15mins, without going into a loop of shutting down and restarting.After numerous visits back to the shop where he's blamed almost every other component, I am now going thro' an elimination process where he has stripped most of the stuff out, then I have to try it for a few days, then he puts a bit more back in. Up to now, no lockups.However, I noticed that when it was first upgraded the RAM had a metal coat, but now he has changed it to what I call conventional RAM. Hi to all,I had to uninstall FS2002, and reinstall it.. running XP...all went just fine...picked up all of my added AC, but....when I go to the map and click on a VOR, NBD, RUNWAY or anything, I get the name of the requested item, but no DATA at all re: no frequencys..nothing just the name of the item. I went to compatibility on my desktop for the FS2002 ICON and set it to "WINDOWS 98 + NT"..no help..unchecked the box and tried again..nothing there..any help one of you guys may have will be greatly appreciated !!!Many thanks,JimTucson

Hello,I'm trying to remove the Dash 8 panel that comes with the PSS Dash 8-300 due to frame rate issues. I delete it and replace it with the king air panel, but when i go to fly it, there's no panel at all! I suspect I have to deal with panel.cfg editing. Could anyone please help me out?Thanks!Zach

I just acquired another 80 GB drive which I intend to use strictly for flight sim programs. What is the best method to load FS2K2 on another drive without having to reinstall all the add-on scenery and planes I have accumulated over the last year.Can I just move the entire FS2K2 structure to the new drive, and then alter the registry settings so it points to the new drive? ORInstall FS2K2 again on the new drive, then copy the folders over from my original drive?I really need that "SURE FIRE" solution so I don't really mess up everything. Hope someone has gone through this drill already.Keith

Which GF4 should I buy? And why???I wanna enhance my PC with a new GF4. Soon the price drops and I wanna have the most fun with FS2k2 and as well in combo with eDimensional wireless glasses. From time to time I find that when I save a flight in FS2002, the "Flight Description" window is blank in the SELECT A FLIGHT interface even though I had filled it in when saving the flight. Today I've saved a flight 4 times over and I cannot get the Flight Description to be displayed at all -- even though when I go into MyFlights with notepad, the details are there!!!Why does this happen and is there a fix for this periodic editing headache I get with FS2002?Appreciate help, thanks!JSP.S. I thought touchscreens had pretty much gone away but we just got a new piece of lab equipment today that has a flat panel monitor with touchscreen. It sure would make a nice overhead panel for PIC767 or the Dash8. Is anyone using a touchscreen or know how to do it??David

I am running 3 CPU's/winXP systems with 3 different Geforce video cards. As time progressed, I bought better and connected the systemstogether now having a front view with two 45 degree side viewsaltogether. This runs fime through the use of WideView (ipx protocol )and FSUICP. So the best systems drives the other twoin terms of location but all systems run the same FS2002pro software.The point is that I have a Geforce3 Ti200 being the left view, aGeforce4 model 460 drives the right view And switched to a front view they behave more or less the same if you look at the composition of the picture and details.However the middle screen which consists of a Geforce4 Ti4400 hasa …

I finally did my X-country solo before Christmas but was surprised that the big blue references I had come to rely on in FS2K2 (lakes and rivers) were far less apparent because they are now all white (ice and snow). Is there any way to make the water textures white in certain areas without also freezing the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico?David

I downloaded the FS Skyworld SE website and followed the installation instructions, yet, I don't know how to locate or activate the program? First, should I bother with this weather freeware or buy some payware. Second, how the heck do you turn the program on and use it? I've got Windows 2000 OS. Hello,I've downloaded FSUIPC en put the FSUIPC.dll in my fs2002 modules folder. Then i downloaded pm sounds and put just in fs2002. normally it shoud work now but is doesn't.What am i doing wrong??:-(

I just installed Narita and Kansai by Miyazaki. They are both totally fantastic, but my default AI has vanished from those two areas in FS2002 now and I am wondering how to get it back. I have no experience with managing AI in FS2k2, so if anybody replies to this, maybe you can explain in idiot-proof language.Thanks for any advice and posts!JS

Hi all, I don't get a chance to spend all the time required in one sitting to scan the full Ready for Pushback documentation so I try to read a little, try a little, etc, so if the answer to this is obvious, or hidden right in front of my face, I apologize. It seems when I load the 747-200 in a Cold and Dark state (out of box, not previously saved by me), and go into Slew Mode, when I come out of Slew, the aircraft has engines running and it high tails it across the field at a fairly high rate of speed (she hasn't left the ground yet). Hey everyone, I am in the market right now for a new Joystick, I bought about 2 years ago a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold, it is an awesome joystick, I was really happy with it, however it is starting to show its age, and thats why I was wondering if some people could tell me what kind of joystick they have or point to some good ones, I really do not want to spend any more then about 100 or 150 CAD, force feedback, I am not sure yet, but I really would appreciate some feedback.
