Any suggestions on buying the PSS Dash-8. I think I read somewhere that the frames-per-second are kind of choppy? I own an AMD 1.7 system with 512 ram and a G-Force TI 4400 video card. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Has anyone tried fs2002 with an AGP 8x graphics card?Is the performance any better than AGP 4x? Noticable?I understand that Fs2002 is processor intensive. I have a 1.7 GHZ Athlon with a Geforce 4 ti 4200 AGP 4x. I was debating on weather or not to upgrade my Processor, aor graphics to AGP 8x.My objective is to maintain 30FPS with Wilco's Airport 2002. I also have some add-on aircraft that suffer from low frame rates. I also currently have 512 MB ddr ramata 133 Scsi Hard drive with a seperate partition for fs2002.

This is an airport I'm working on, currently named after myself, :). I've gotten alot done but there's still alot left to do. I have a basic afcad in, along with 2 parking rows of 4, which is what I've focused on here in the pictures, since that was probably the most complicated part of the whole project. I have not given the afcad/traffic any serious testing to see if the traffic flows smoothly or not. If it turns out that the traffic flows smoothly and successfully, I'll complete the rest of the parking area. I'm looking at maybe about 10-15 rows of 4, plus I want to find some good FS98 or FS95 planes to use as traffic to cut down on the frame rates, since I plan on hav…

Hello everyone, I am looking for some advice on adding traffic to my empty skies.... I know project AI makes AI traffic but exactly how does their installation work? What do I have to download in order to install the traffic files (planes, textures??, or is all that included in the "auto" install for the applicable airline?) And if you have used project AI's traffic files, do they work? Any advice on how to add the traffic to the sky? Thanks again for the help! (PS. File by Gerrit Kranenbarg makes the contrails look VERY realistic compared to the default. Only 2 files so the install is a breeze. You will not regret it!

Hi im having problems with reflective texturing. I bought a new graphics card- NVIDIA GeFORCE 4 MX40 Ive tried loads of different drivers, settings etc. They worked on my last card.If anybody has any solutions i would be very greatful. Thank You in advance.

Went to the airport the other day to pick up a friend. Checked the arrivals screen only to find this.... :-lol

every 2 seconds like clockwork even when I am running no programs. I've turned everything off that I can using EndItAll. It won't stop blinking. This DID NOT happen before I did my computer upgrade. I thought it might be Norton2003, but I turned that off too and it doesn't stop the blinking.Thanks, Adam

Hello, my new graphic card "GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB" has severe problems under FS2002 with ANTI ALIAS on. The performance is very bad and I have some very bad "overlays" in the picture. Simply unflyable. If I uncheck ANTI ALIAS the performance and picture qualitiy is very good. Has anyone gotten flight simulator to operate in dual monitor mode using the ATI HydraVision software? I'd like to fly on my main monitor and drop throttles, FMC, etc.. on the second monitor.Thanks,Matt

hello,Well, I finally gave up on trying to make fs2002 function reliably with 256 mb of 333mhz DDR Kingmax memory without crashing to the desktop with the old "your system has run out of memory flight simulator will now exit". I started having this problem with the PSS A320 and other highly detailed planes and panels like the PSS dash 8. The fact that I now have over 25,000 PAI and other flight plans in my traffic.bgl file probably doesent help either ;-) . Ive tried lowering my sliders a bit and no go. First, I did a complete reinstall of FS2K2, mine was getting a little out of hand. No sceneries installed except, US freeware mesh, FS Genesis Landclass, FSScene winter and fall textures, Auto Genius, and EW Pro. When I load up Phoenix, default, I get the dreaded error box saying there's scenery missing. I can't for the life of me find what's causing this!! I hope it's not the FS Genesis landclass (beta) as I really enjoy this, but this constant pausing to hit 'ok' because of the missing scenery message is really getting on my nerves.Second, I've got monitor stuttering. I am thinking about downloading MyTraffic. Is it as simple as clicking the .exe to instal and use, or does it create a raft of new issues for users? I just want something simple I can load up and play with but I thought I'd post here to ask if it really is as simple and effective as it bills itself as being. I am a plain vanilla traffic user and do not plan to spend my life editing, using AFCAD or Traffic Tools or whatever. All I want is more action on the screen. I may have found an "easter egg" of sorts while flying last night from cyxy to cyqm. About 300 miles east of Yellowknife, NT Canada at an altitude of FL330 I witnessed Northern Light bands in the Northeast horizon. The bands appeared to dance in colors of blue & green. It lasted for about 15 minutes intermittently. Anybody else notice this?Ryan

I just bought a Geforce3 ti200 128 MB to replace my Asus pro 68 MB.I have to say that the difference is minimal. I don't get any higher framerates, it just stutters less often, but that could also be because I added 256MB RAM.The thing that I didn't have with my old video card is that it looks like big chunks are being eaten out of my scenery and aircraft. It flickers and you can see through different layers of the aircraft and scenery. I have to say that when I tried to install the latest drivers,that my computer started up in the safe mode displaying only 16 colors, and saying that there was something wrong with the driver setup.
