All the sudden all my aircraft are turning to the left by themselves. I've deleted my controllers, recalibrated them and it still happens. This is on ALL planes (jets included), so I doubt it's the typical single engine prop pull to the left.I looked from the outside view. and here's what happens. When I advance the throttles, the front wheel turns to the left. The only way to compinsate for it is to put in right rudder. I've also checked the Autorudder box, but it still does it.Any ideas??

Hello,I was reading a thread below pertaining to AVSIM's latest review of Radar Contact 3 and wanted to make a couple of comments. I do agree with the reviewer's author and several users observations following up that the RC3 controller voice set leaves a LOT to be desired. The quality is very poor and the simulated background static is way overdone. Modern avionics with quality headsets even in small GA aircraft produce quite clear communications in the real world. This poor quality, coupled with the controller voices having a rainbow of international accents, really brings RC3 down a few rungs. It's just plain goofy to be taking off from Scottsdale, Arizona an…

Ok, I really enjoy CFS2 and FS2k2. I also like IL-2. Those are all pretty hardcore sims, more or less concentrating on flying techniques to do well. From what I've heard, CFS 3 is more of an "arcade" feeling game. I like the aspect that you have to control ground forces and such in a coordinated effort to win a war. So... my question is this: If I'm looking to have a game that is more or less like a Playstation (or other arcade game, more action, less proper flying), does CFS 3 do a nice job of entertaining? I have plenty of flight sims that I can spend hours flying around just to fly, but I'm looking for something more along the lines of "shoot em up". Plus I n…

Hi guys,When testing aircraft, I have come across some problems in FS2002. The game freezes suddenly, usually when a texture is loading or when I zoom in ont he textures of the plane. My hardware is:AMD Athlon XP2100512 DDR RAMGF4 Ti4400 128MbSB AudigyI have Direct X9 installed. I believe that it's the Direct X 9 that's causing the problem as this did not happen before the installation. Any ideas how I can revert back to Direct X 8 and uninstall Direct X 9?I don't believe it's a hardware problem, as I have recently upgraded the sound card and graphics card and these proved not to be the problem. Also I have tried clean installs of Flightsim and the problem persists. If anyo…

I just wanted to take an informal poll to se how many flight simmers out there would like to see a return of the classic airliners where FMC's and MCDU's simply did not exist. witht the release of Cpt.Sim's 727, the VMAX 747 and the soon to be released DF727 it looks like my dreams are slowly being answered as I love the more hands on experience these aircraft give you such as having to hand-fly SID's, STAR's, DME arcs, etc, etc. as much as i like fling PIC and other such aircraft with glass cockpits I am slowly being drawn back to the older aircraft which are much more interactive and u really gain an apprecaition for the flying and navigation skills it takes . i sincerly…

This review on Avsim by Pardave Lehry is the only review I have read of Radar Contact 3.0 that mentions the "ugly" sounding voices, and the lack of intergration with the default AI.I own RC3.0, and like the improvement fuctionality over the default, but those voices are tuff, and hard to get used to.What, none of the other reviewers noticed the voices and lack of integration with the default AI...yea right!Good job Pardave!Tony in Miami

I have just downloaded the newest Concorde texture pack, and have a few questions:1. Is there an available freeware download of the default FS2K Concorde available that has been updated for FS2002 (I never owned 2000, and the author of the textures reminds you that's the model it's based on)? I have the Concorde V.3 model, and the textures appear to show up properly, but it seems the contact points are way-off (rear gear 'hovering', front gear half-sunk in the runway).2. On a more in-depth request for objective opinions, is there a specific model that many of you guys prefer more over others, and what are your feelings for a proper sound package and panel? I want to put t…

Hello Guys (and Girls, of course) :-)Here's the situation I get when flying IFR from Addison/TX to Texarkana/AR: There is usually one AI plane that is "stuck" in ATC. What that means is that ATC tells it to tune center at xxx.xx, the AI pilot does so, then I can hear on the same frequency the "yyy is with you" and ATC tells it (again!) to tune center in the same xxx.xx. I get so annoyed that I tune another frequency so I can fly the plane and not think about "kamikazing" into the ATC building :-)Any tips on how to get rid of this?RegardsMarcelo

Hi all,i have yet to master those really tough crosswind landings. Uh - not so easy task. I have most difficulties with the rudder control (keyboard). I usually fly spledid dash-7 and erj-145 planes. I don't have any previous background information for the proper usage of the rudder. In the crosswind situations, i usually approach so that i point the nose of the plane to the upwind side of the runway (=kill the drifting effect). And just before touchdown (usually 20-40 ft above the runway) i -try- to straighten the plane to the direction of the runway. This is actually the tricky part: i usually use the rudder trim for the final straightening of the plane, but for my an…

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I would like to get some opinions on this from everyone. Then maybe the commercial guys will make the things listed here standard. Right now, I think things are too inconsistent among different developers. But a Standard list that should be included by all will hopefully go some way to solve this.My opinion is that any commercial add-on over $20 should include these basic things:My list:1. A .air file that works according to the numbers before the thing is released. Bug fixes should not have to be so much for the FM as for little problems with different computers.2. A load manager3. A "text-o-matic" to easily change liveries4…

Hi!I just got my new pair of CH Pro USB pedals, and here's my problem.Im using Windows XP Professional and CH Flightsim yoke USB.In the pedal calibration, the toebrakes jump about 50% of their movement if I even touch them... i.e. if I place my feet on the pedals, without pressing them, the calibration screen shows a "jump" to about halfway of the entire movement range. This means that basically, however I program FSUIPC there's always a "BRAKES" message (ie brakes are on) if I press the toebrakes for as little as 1mm. After that, the calibration is OK. This is very annoying, because the brakes are almost always ON if I keep my feet on the pedals.I have not been able to re…

Hello all,I have been using the CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB for a few months. It works fine as far as throttle/roll/pitch/yaw/brakes are concerned, but I have not been able yet to solve the following problem which concern the propeller and mixture controls with the Mooney for example (I have the same problem with other single prop aircrafts whether default or addons), on the ground and at some 600 ft ASL :1./ When I increase the pitch on the propeller, the RPM goes down, which is OK but the motor sounds faster, which is not realistic. OK, this is not too important but is a little annoying.2./ With regard to the mixture control, I can only get full power if the mixtur…
