This is what my sim looks after I reinstalled it on a recently reformated hard drive. No add-ons no modules. The first time I installed every extra I use on my sim and noticed the error so I tried to methodically install all extra stuff step by step and finnally ended up with the same error on a fresh installation which is very very sad :( I just ran out of patience.Any Ideas on what could be wrong??p4 1.4 MHz384MB RamWin XPDirectx v9Nvidia Gforce2 Mx 400 with latest nvidia.com drivers 41,09

Hey gang,I've decided that I might finally break down and use the resources here to change the default AI to the real thing. I'm not exactly sure if my machine will be able to handle it, but that's another issue...Anyways, my question is this: Let's say I install the Delta Air Lines traffic, with the real world schedule and all. And let's say I decide one day to fly Delta 2231, CVG-PHX. When I load everything up, will there be a duplicate Delta 2231 flying with me to Phoenix, or does FS somehow know to leave that particular flight out?Then again, I might be totally missing the concept here.Anyhoo, thanks for the input.

Anyone know if FS2K4 is going to feature the same elevation resolution as CFS3? All of our area airport runways have 50-75 ft. embankments on either end. CFS3 contains a number of airfields that model hilly terrain quite well. In FS2K2, our area's airports are "flat" all the way around. Has anyone heard any rumors about the terrain in FS2K4 or any other new features? We are entering that 9 month time frame when the information starts to trickle out!CH

I'm having difficulty saving winds, local and global. They often will not stay at the value I input espcially setting a heavy x-wind for take-off. On saving the flight and re-openning they're gone.Anyone??

jerrycwo4I just tried to install the "Fs2002 Contrail Update" by Gerrit Kranewbard( file was here at Avsim). When I finished installing the 2 files ,(with instructions) 1. fx_contrail_1.fx into the EFFECTS folder 2. fx_1 into EFFECTS / TEXTUREI had an "extra" file named, "thumbs.db" (database file, 6 kb) left over with NO instructions as to what it was are where it went. Can anybody tell me about this 'extra' file, is it needed or where it goes? Thanksjerry

Hello,I have a Geoforce 2 MX400 vid card and always experience cloud scinillating around the edges of mountains. I've tried every graphic setting in FS2002, along with every driver set for the card from the oldest to the newest. I can't get anything to work. The edges of the cloud layer appear extremely aliased and will dart around erratically, making the visual experience terrible. Please see the attached screenshot.Yes, I do have anti-aliasing set in FS2002 :)Nothing is working for me, does anyone know of a solution at all? Thank you.

Hi all,I seem to have some problem with my default 2k2-Pro King Air 350 panel - the Comm panel switches have dissappeared! I can't switch between Comm1/Comm2, can't turn ID on/off for the rest of the NAV radios, etc.All the radios seem to be in "KINGAIR_RADIO.GAU"; I'm guessing that my copy is corrupted somehow - it may have been overwritten by a (bad) version from an addon aircraft...Does anyone know where on the 2k2-Pro CDs the gauges are stored, and if you can extract them w/o reinstalling the entire program?Failing that, could some kind soul copy & zip their working version of KINGAIR_RADIO.GAU and email me a copy? Problem with ATC Sound FS2002 PROAfter a total breakdown of my Computer my ATC and Jet-engines Sound was gone After reinstalling FS 2002 Pro and loading Cessna C172 Skyhawk - Meigs - RW36 (all sounds on maximum) engine and surounding sounds were ok, but still no ATC Sound!!!Then I reinstalled my Sound Card with 16-bit and 44,1 kHz Maximum Standard Sampling.Just all the same , no proper sound.Then I deleted the whole FS2002 from the Disk, and installed all new with the standard from Microsoft.Still no ATC Sound, only printed text on the screen.The strange thing is, when loading Boeing 737-400 there is no Engine sound,but until airborne the environment sound is functioning,…

I am from the US and now have been finding myself flying in Europe mainly GB. I have been trying to find an overhead view of Heathrow that shows the taxiway lettering similar to what Clearance Unlimited has for most US airports. Also similar to what I can Get on Airnav.com. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this if it is available.Thank you Andrew

HiI have the very good (thanks to the team) Dash 7, cargo version but I can't have the torque higher than 88% no matter the use of the keyboard, CH throttle or the throttle on the CH yoke (these calibrated with FSUIPC and/or thru control manager)! Any ideas?Thanks in advanceRegardsC.M.G.

Today I decided to try out Project AI for the first time. I downloaded the Jetblue package, clicked on the automatic installer and downloaded it to FS2002. Then I went to KJFK to see what it will look like, but all I saw was default planes and no Jetblue planes. I also tried KLGB and KFLL but saw no Jetblue planes at those airports either. Am I supposed to do something to get the Jetblue planes to show in the game? I have the AI traffic slider at 100%Thanks for your help

Hello Simmers,Just installed a great new realistic sound for my Bell 206b default egg-beater, oferred by ******* Hernandez.It is real nice, but, it creates a problem. My Hugues 500d and 500d amphib have no more sound. I know not much of puter stuff, but looks like it is aliased to the Bell 206 sound. So, I tried to copy and apply the sound mod. of the 206 to my Hugues.Still no sound. The ideal would be to aliased the Hugues sound to the Bell. It would save lots of disc space. If someone could help me out with this, please as the author of the modification indicates no addy on his documents.Thank You:Flatspin_Fumble

Hi allJust downloaded here at avsim the cfg and a air fileto make the original dash 8 flyable, also copied the panelfiles from the king air , 2D panel is fine but the virtual cockpitdoes not appear, why ? am i missing some files (vc shows on the king air)or maybee a line in the panel cfg (same as the king) ???I need help !thanks.

I am currently running a P4 1.6, 1 gig of 2100 memory.80 gig 7200RPM seagate hard drive. On runway 36 at Meigs field with the Geof Debonair in VC mode I get between 9 & 11 FPS This is with most sliders maxed and AI traffic at 33%. I would like to try to increase this a little for smoother flying. I am running a Leadtex gforce 2 64mb Ti card and resolution at 1280 x 1024. Set at 4x. texture sharpening checked and mipmapped checked. Would a Ti 4200 64mb video card make enough difference to warrant the cost and the time.Chuck

Having upgraded my CPU to an XP 2100 and my old voodoo 3 card to a Ti4600 I was still rather disappointed with frame rates and general performance compared with systems of similar hardware, a 3D benchmark of 8033 was my best!! Reading this forum it became apparent that maybe the motherboard was the weakest link - I was correct. Today I had a ABIT Nforce2 board put in and oh my lord - just awesome - more FPS than I know what to do with!! What I did was to move all of a particular aircraft sounds (WAV files) to another location (backup) just leaving the sound.cfg file untouched. FS2002 then can't find the wav files, hence does not allocate the sound buffers and don't play them. So there shouldn't be any difference with or without sound.In fact, when flying the aircraft with sound on (although not hearing anything), if I press the 'Q' key to toggle off all the FS2002 sounds, then the FPS jumps to as more than 10 in some cases (scenery density at the m…
