Hey everyone,I recently decided that I wanted to use the PSS panel with the Project Airbus model, so I went to their forum and discovered (to my amazement) that it was closed! :-eek :-( So, naturally, I tried searching avsim's forums for some form of instructions, yet I was unable to find anything. Therefore, I ask if any one still has a link to instructions or perhaps knows the entire process. I would really like to use it seeing as how the PSS panel is one of my favorite and PA's model is absolutely stunning. Thanks all! :-)-Cal

HiI'm attempting to run the pss a320 on my windows 98 system and, like so many other users, continually get crashes to the desktop. I've attempted the removal of the virtual cockpit from the aircraft.cfg file but with no real success.This has hastened my decision to perhaps, consider upgrading to windows xp where memory leakage "shouldn't" be a problem. My question is basically this, have any of you guys upgraded to xp after having the above problem with 98 and, if so, did the problem go away. Also, i've heard that xp contains a whole host of mobo drivers, hence, negating the need to source them (mobo is an elite systems k7s5a), is this correct ?Any help much appreciatedG…

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if there was a way to get the approach hold in the Project Fokker aircraft... I can't seem to get the approach hold (APR button on the Autopilot section of the panel) to turn on, how do I do it? Thanks for your help (again!)!Cpudan80 :) :+

All of a sudden I do not see waves at beaches but white rectangles coming and going; see my picture. What is wrong? Any idea? Thanks for help.Roland

I downloaded this and installed it but dumb@ss me forgot to back up the default files. Could someone please e-mail me the defualt files? They are fx_contrail_l.fx in the effects folder and fx_1.bmp in the effects texture folder. The new ones seem to fade in and out and I actually thought the old ones look better. Also seems that whenever I select smoke effects on the old jet airliners Like HJG DC-8s and the like it affects that also. Not sure if this did it but its the only thing I changed recently. I have some old aircraft that I am using as AI. Does anyone know how to get them to park at the gate with their gear down instead of just floating in mid air???

Hi, is it standard to get permission from the original author before uploading a re-painted freeware plane? Also, if freeware gauges are used in a panel upload, if they are freeware and not altered, does permission have to be obtained?Examples include the RWYINFO gauge by Ernie Alston and the radar gauge by Eric Marciano.Obviouly clear credit would be included somewhere, such as in a file in the aircraft folder.I don't want to step on anyones toes. I appreciate the countless hours sacrificed in putting an aircraft and panel together.dek

This may sound petty, but is there a default flag that I can set that allows the external spot view to have the GRADUAL TRANSITIONS disabled and TYPE set to Fixed?ThanksKevin

Hi everyone,I'm looking for some DC10-30 with European liveries (AOM, Air Lib, Lufthansa, British Airways, Alitalia, ...) for FS2002. Some months ago, we could go to the FFG website but actually, their website is down and I can't download DC10-30 anymore on their website.I tried to search some DC10-30 in AVSIM library but I had a few files and when I entered "DC10" or "DC" in the "search field", the result told me that there was 0 files whereas they were on the AVSIM library (the search system on AVSIM is not perfect !).Could you tell me where I could find these aircraft ? Could you give me the links ? Are the FS2000 DC10-30 compatible with FS2002 ?Thank you for your help…

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but I cannot seem to find the key commands to select the com2 or nav2 radios.I building a new config file for my TM Cougar and would really like to be able to assign selection of these radios to my HOTAS.Can any kind soul enlighten me here ?Cheers:-waveSatchmo

Hello, I need help in figuring out how to maintain the aircraft textures on Gmax aircraft. The aircraft downloaded with Gmax texturing for some reason the aircraft texturing vanishes when I go from chase plane view or exterior view back to cockpit view. Is there a particular setting in setup I'm missing to maintain the aircraft textures?

Downloaded Tom Dennis 737-800 panel, but get shut down to desktop when selecting aircraft (initial & in-flight). Suspect gauge problem...have tried both the autoinstall and manual install of panel w/same result. No problem with any other 3rd party panel...any help appreciated!

Ok! I have downloaded all the AI Projects Aircrafts, all the "Most realistic AI-Routes" flightplans, I have ttools and all the stuff needed ... but I have still too few liveries to set-up a realistic world AI environment!Not considering MyTraffic (it's simply a repackaging of AIProjects's stuff), any suggestions about authors and sites (not general ones, e.g. avsim,flightsim...) where I could find aircrafts suitable for AI traffic.TIA

I already have the Dash7 passenger aircraft -- the Avsim review of the Dash7 by Milton Shupe impies that the cargo version panel can be used in the passenger aircraft.Is there any way of getting around the 24 meg download ( I only have dialup) -- download the panel only ?Thanks Barry

My ATR42 download seems to have one missing gauge. It is called up in the Throttle window in the panel.cfg file - but is not in my gauges folder - hence the window doesn't work.It is ID_Atr_PBrk.gauCould somebody who uses the ATR42 kindly look inside their gauges folder to see if they have it.Thanks Barry

Well it happened...I've watched with trepidation many times as those flicking lights that seem to be right in my path manage to turn or veer off and amazingly get out of the way in time. But not this time. I'm at FL320 straight and level and ATC begins to tell me I have a traffic emergency and before they can get half way through it a jet (maybe an MD80) streaks across my windscreen right to left in a flash. The next thing I know FS is reloading and I'm back at the gate where I departed. I thought I posted this here but can't find it. Forgive me if you've seen this and replied. I know back in the early days of airliners, airways were navigated via a system of beeps that would be continuous when on course. It would be really cool to have a VOR-type gauge that could replicate the beeps rather than drive an OBS. Guess we would have to use the current VOR system, although I am sure it is more extensive than what was in use then. Anyone have any opinions or insight into this system (not sure when it was phased out)?David

The famous sign: Sorry Error must shut down microsoft comes up once fs2002 seems to get to fat. I also have a auto throttle problem coming on when taxing with auto throttle turned off. The reason I said it is like Win 98 is because once you load a lot of programs win98 has a habit of send a error directx box up. It seems xp does too. Any comments or fixes appreciated.
