Metro Helicopters (VA) will soon be launching a new and expanded web site, http://metrohelo.org/ We invite you to stop by for a preview!Metro pilots fly 100% online using FS2K2 and the VATSIM network. They use realistic helicopter procedures and published helicopter routes. Pilots follow voice dispatching during weekly Metro flight operations, use voice ATC, and fly with simulated real world weather conditions. The existing Metro Web site, http://avsim.com/hangar/air/metrohelo/ has been very popular. Since its inception about six months ago, the site has received over 4,900

Can someone tell me what the small red stick/wand above the panel does.No amount of manouvering or increasing the wind seems to have any effect on it. Thought it was a wind indicator. It just waves slowly between 12 and 1 o'clock.Baz

I asked this question once before - and basically drew a blank! :( Does anybody know how to alter the seat height adjustment increment. I find that the adjustment is too coarse. Sometimes I want to raise the seat just a little to see over the top of the panel -- but because the increment is too coarse , the seat raises too high and you seem to get a distorted view of the front view .Thanks Barry

This is the third time I experience the same problem : I fly IFR, and everything is OK until ATC asks me to start my descent. I do it, but he asks me then threee times to accelerate my descent, even when I am a couple of thousand feet below my previous altitude. Eventually, ATC cancels my IFR flight plan. Any one experienced that problem ?I am flying now in the area of North Quebec and Greenland, where the atmospheric pressure is very low (984 mb): would that be the cause of the problem ?Thanks for your answers.Alain

The brand new Gmax MelJet 777 freezes on my monitor. It is the ONLY a/c in my huge fleet of 140 a/c that does this. I run PSS, POSKY, AFG, and complex panels, dual monitors, etc. I never had this problem ever before.I have a standard DELL 8200 and the drivers are 30.82 which work great. But just to see if it made a diff, I changed the drivers to 40.72 yesterday and still got screen freezes with the MelJet 777.(I use it with the default 777 panel.)This does not seem to be a Windows crash; if it were, I might a message from XP that would tell me what is going on. It is a total freeze and the mouse pointer vanishes too. I need to use TASK MANAGER to close FS2002 and wh…

I couldn't seem to find a hardware related forum - and as this does directly relate to FS2002, I thought I would ask this question here. Not so long ago - when Pentium 3s were around the 800 meg-1 gigaherz range and memory was a bit more expensive and the max that most people had was around 128 meg, it was accepted custom that "gamers" should leave motherboards with integrated video to business/internet users. I have an old friend (82 years) who has a P3-500 with 128 meg SDRam and a TNT video card. He primarily uses it for general use plus he also flies FS2002 (but is not a totally committed enthusiast) . He has most of the scenery options turned right down and the machine…

This may seem like a dumb question, but how do I get the cabin view within a plane? I have the MelJet 777 United with it's virtual cabin, but don't know the key to press to get inside of the virtual cabin. Any help is appreciated!

No I don't buy one of those. I did however get turned loose in my local electronics superstore, and found my answer to the tactile feedback chair. Creative Audigy Gamer + Klipsch Pro Media 5.1.You want your chair to vibrate...well...I achieve that with a chair on a different floor with this setup. Really brings "flying sounds" to life, at a decent volume of course. I recommend givin it a listen, it should be pretty available. As for me, Pink Floyd and RB211's never sounded so good. On all my Posky CRJ's I am using a panel made by Marco Spada (file name crj2k2.zip) and on the panel the low fue flow warning light is always on. My question is, is this a problem with the panel? If it is not a problem with the panel how do I get the low fuel flow warning light to go off?

Hello fellow simmers:When I was simming in FS98, I had this wonderful old Waco bipe YMF5.I would like to install it in my FS2002Pro, but do not have the expertise to do so and, I am puter illeterate.Clay, the author, gave me the permission to ask help to install it. I am sure, that, with proper credits, he would be happy to give permission to allow it to be available by all.I have attached two pictures and copied Clay's text. "Hi Leon... I don't think I can help you much with the FS2k2 stuff. I've not upgraded to it yet and probably won't until I can get a faster computer. I can barely run the FS2k with reasonable scenery and resol…

Hiya!Does anyone know Mike Hambly's current e-mail address? I would like to ask if he would be interested in making sounds for our Maule package. It's too good plane to be released without good sounds. I have tried to e-mail into two different AOL.com addresses that I have found for Mike but both seems to be disabled. So if someone knows Mike's current e-mail address, please let me know via e-mail for example...Mikko http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/mmniemi/shots/banger.gif Mikko [email protected]

OK, I know it is a bit morbid but I often reenact aviation accidents in flight sim just to gain an appreciation for what can go wrong. The tragic loss of TANS Flt 222 a few days ago in the mountains of Peru stimulated my interest to fly FS in a region I don't often go (actually, I've been to Peru more times in the real world than in the sim!). Well, the short hop from Chiclayo to Chachapoyas (the route of the doomed Fokker 28) gave me a greater challenge than I expected. I used the Iron Knuckles DC9 as the closest airliner I have in my hangar and flew with current weather, which I assume is better than that of the day of the accident. Still, what awaits you at the end of …
