I was wondering if there was a way to make the ATC tell you the wind direction when the clear you to land, and make some new voices that sound more real?

Hey Gang!Since this morning, I've noticed that neither AFCAD nor AFInstaller are installing airport gates and facilities any longer. As a matter of fact, any airport for which I try to install new gates for, the program deletes the airport information and fails to install the new one, hence, I end up with an airport that has no gates or runways or anything to choose from and therefore, cannot select the airport. So far I have managed to screw up 4 airports like this until I noticed the problem.Has anyone else gone through this before? Any resommendations out there?Thanks again!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

There's two new files in the library, both 14+ megs, which seem a bit misleading. I wanted to suggest people think twice before downloading them, and suggest to the "author" that he credit people who created the work.The first is advertised as a Air Canada 737-300 by Ben Henke... In fact, it uses the Yeodesigns 737-200 model and FDE. The second is advertised as a Southwest 737 (Same author), when in fact the model is the FS2002 default.I encourage authors to:a--Give credit to the designer of the aircraft in the Download description.b--Label something as a repaint in their description, when in fact that's what it is (at least the SW 737 appeared in the repaints category…

Hi i have this program but how do i add in more than one AFCAD to a airport without overrighting the exsistign one?there's a AFCAD file out that i want to use it's for KEWR Newark intl it seperates all the terminals it has 5 total i need help

Hey Gang!Today I was in the process of trying to install Vladimir's KMEM scenery. Upon installing the overlays with AFInstaller, whenever I chose KMEM or 2MEM or 3MEM (as an example), the airports would not show up in the airports list for selection. Furthermore, after I de-installed all the AFCAD files and overlays and reverted to the originals, whenever I select KMEM, I get no choise for runways or position, nor gates - it's as if the airport did not exist in the database even though the scenery is there. Can anyone provide some light here please? Could it be that AFCAD and AFInstaller may have corrupted something?Thanks in advance!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

They indicate that it will fly up to 8,000-10,000 feet. Would you want to hang glide at 8,000 - 10,000 feet? I downloaded the file lp727v20.zip today. Everything seems to work dandy, except there is no VSI, just an empty spot where it should be?I am on FS2k2 standard edition.Thanks for any suggestions, and go easy I'm new at this...

Though I've been using FS for a long time (since 5.1), I've only recently started using FS2002 (despite having owned it since it was first released). So I've got a lot of "new user" type questions.This one concerns weather. I've been downloading the default "real weather." When I look at the details the winds slider is at zero. But I definitely have winds in the simulation (which I can confirm by the Shift-Z readouts). Why doesn't the weather dialog report accurately report the local weather winds?-Basil

How do I ensure that the altimeter correctly counts down to zero height rather than just staying with the actual airport elevation height when on approach and landing runs?This has been perplexing me for a while and I can't help thinking that I am missing something really simple and obvious.If any one can help I would beMOST grateful as this is spoiling my flying experiences!!many thanks

I just got my USB CH Pro Pedals hooked up. Bless my wife, she heard me when I said what I wanted for Christmas.The problem now? After doing a little research by going through Peter Dowson's FS2002 control documents it looks like you can assign the AXIS_SPOILER_SET control name to one of the axis on a stick for incrementing or decrementing the spoilers. I use the Staitek 45x controller which has a separate throttle device and on it has a couple of axis's that are not currently being used. Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

First of Ill say the usual, this aircraft is a super model. I love testing out all kinds of new bizjets and this one was definitely a treat. The problem Im having is with the starboard engine not firing up. I used auto-start or whatever, and still no luck. I havent seen any posts on this, and there was no documentation with the aircraft itself, so this is my last resort. Thanks,Craig

Hello all, the new and improved prowler here. Once again, let me apologize to everyone here...none of you deserved the treatment I gave you. Now, I've DL'd and installed the FS2002 Regional IFR Adventure - Eastern 126 (By CMAA - Custom Made ATC Adventures). For some reason my Dash8 (which is in my "aircraft" directory) is not loading and is not available in the sim. I'm using XP home, other aircraft seem to show up fine (although I haven't yet checked EVERY aircraft in the "aircraft" folder against what will show up in the sim's aircraft list...this is the first one with a problem I have run across). Anyone know why this should happen? Thanks. prowler

Today was was looking through the FS2002 folders and noticed alot of the gauges that are supposed to be in the Gauges folder are now in the main FS2002 folder. Can the gauges folder get full? If I make a new folder and name it like "gauges2" and then put the gauges that are in the FS2002 will those gauges still work? Or would it be safer to just leave everything alone? All the panels I have (including the default ones) are working and all gauges are there.

Has anyone ever seen a repaint of the stock 747 (or any other model for that matter) in Japan Airlines Reso'cha scheme? I'd love to add one of those to my Honolulu scenery as I always see it at PHNL when I land... I swear that thing must never leave the airport! I got Lago's fabulous PHNL for Christmas, but it totally lacks any Asian traffic, and that just looks wrong!thanks,
