For all you sector file creators out there... how do I change the geo data color? I want to use my own RGB numbers. I think there is some sort of formula that you must follow, but I can't quite remember what it was! Thanks a lot! Can someone provide me with some help? I flew into Denver this week and noticed that KDEN appeared to be on a plateau about 200 ft above the rest of the scenery. Today, I flew into KABQ and had the same experience. Both airports are the default FS2002 airports. I have FScene winter textures & FSGenesis mesh for the US. I just yesterday downloaded the FSGenesis Beta6 Landclass update but had the DEN problem before that. Could the problem be that I also have Eddie Denny's mesh further down the Scenery chain? (Just thought of that).Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. :-waveSteve

Hi All,Real Otter recently sent me a panel for the Goose that has one aspect in particular I really like - when I switch from 2D cockpit to minipanel view, the horizon does not shift like it does on so many other planes. I tried increasing the size of the scenery screen (y=6143) per his recommendation, but I still get that shifting horizon between views. Does anybody know how to edit the panl.cfg so that the horizon doesn't shift? If not, maybe you'd be willing to take a look at the cfg file for the Goose and the Beaver so that I can fix the horizon shift on the Beaver??Any and all help would be appreciated.

Can someone tell me what types of Routes are flown in the real world. Is it Direct GPS or VOR-VOR or what? What determines what type of route is flown? Thanks

Hi there,I am new to the forum thing but have been flight simming for a few years. I recently encountered a problem that is making me crazierthan I already am. Within two or three minutes of starting fs2002,the joystick stops working. I have tried two different joysticks(Microsoft Precision 2 and CH flight yoke) both usb both check okin the control panel. I only have one connected at a time. I haveuninstalled and reinstalled the joysticks, uninstalled and reinstalledfs2002, updated the drivers for the sound card (SB live). For those of you who fly the big jets in FS and who like a challenge, try this for size. Take a flight into Mariscal Sucre Intl (SEQU)Ecuador. You can fly from Simon Bolivar Intl (SEGU) to the south west in around 1 hour if you need a destination to go from, but make sure your flight plan is for well above 18,000 ft unless you like hearing 'Terrain, Pull up! a lot! This is the airport where all the flowers that you see in your local florist are usually from and believe it or not they actually take 747s into that airstrip although with a hold full of roses and carnations you'll be well under MTOW. Hello everyone. I tried to post about this and was told to post here and in the Fly forum.Here is my dilemma. I have FLY 2K and it was given to me as a gift. I loved it as it was the one sim I had ever used. But I knew I was only able to use it on a basic level b/c anytime I tried to use terra server and all the various pathces and such, they never worked. The only thing I was able to do was use some of the planes found here.NOw I got my new computer and I wanted to get FS2k2. Hey all.In the screenshot forum, I have noticed actual Gates, from the buildings, to the Aircraft. Is this just an edited screen or what??? if not, where can I get the gates from.The other Question is about Project AI. I wish to have more aircraft parked at the Aiports, and doing thier thing, taking off, landing taxiing ect ect. I have downloaded a couple of Airlines, and The seem to have made a difference. Does anyone know how involved the rw calculations are for estimating head/tail winds en-route for fuel planning?For example do they use data from each reporting station, work out head/tail component and how long that will be in effect for, ordo they split the route up into equal length segments and then do a spot wind check in the segment and apply that?I am trying to find the best way, with the least effort, to enter head/tail winds into the fuel planner.What prompted this was a flight last night where I underestimated the winds and ended up landing with 26,000lbs of fuel - not ideal :-eek TIA

Okay, so this never really bothered me until now.Ever since I got 2K2 I noticed there's no window, tail logo, or other illumination other than landing and nav/strobe lights on AI at night.Okay, I thought, no big deal. It's the way MS did it.Now I am starting to switch over to gMAX aircraft with the night overlay textures (DXT), and guess what? No illumination other than landing and nav/strobe lights.I've figured out that gMAX aircraft with DXT textures use an illumination matte for night, which overlays the day textures. Fine. In the default FS2k2 scenery, aircraft are magically pushed back without any vehicle attached to it.I tried to search for it and did not find any. Is there any pushback verhicle that will be shown being attached to your aircraft when you press SHFT-P? Cheers,David

Very sad day the other Day! I heard on my scanner that a Hawaiian Air DC-10 was being flown to Mohjave for i hope not it's final resting Place! Does anyone have any Info on Which Reg# it was?? Or a Web site out there that Lists the Airlines Reg#'s of which planes are in Service or stored for thier Airline?? I really want to try and Find out Which DC-10 they sent out there! Hi everyone,I've downloaded the trial version of the GPS FSGarmin 530. Then, I've installed the update for this add-on but I've got a problem : I meet some lockups with the GPS FSGarmin. For instance, when I switch it on, I've a blue initialization screen and I can't switch any button, either on the GPS or FS2002. I have to wait for 2 or 3 minutes before switching any button. Then, when I switch again on the GPS, I have to wait again for 1 or 2 minutes ! Hi everybody,I would like to have your opinion on the best zoom setting to use when flying airliners especially at TO and landings.In my opinion the zoom 1 is not adequate because it does not give a realistic view of what the pilot has in front of him in real life, at least I think so. Also when taking off it has the inconvenience of making it very hard to keep in line. I use 0.6 zoom but I am not sure it is the best setting. A large angle has the inconvenience of including too much scenery in the window and hitting your frame rate if you are in a zone with plenty of 3D objects.Anyway I would like to have you guys' opinion on the subject.I hope the subject has not been tr…
