Hello everyone, got a question for you. I've done a search for Vanguard AC but only come up with "older" models from fs2k. I thought for sure this far into fs2002 there would be some "new" gmax type repaints of this retired airline. They flew 732's and the MD 80 series ac which would be perfect for FFX.

Hi,In my system (XP2000+ GF4ti4200) driver 43.45 looks sharp and text is far better than before, FPS looks slower than before, my anti-alias is off, but it looks like if it was ON.Can anyone confirm why quality is better in 43.45 ????? Maybe a hidden anti-alias adjust without showing it...?Thanks,Ulisses

The viewpoint as defined for the VC (I believe this is in aircraft.cfg, not panel.cfg). I use the application Active Camera to "slew" myself around the VC, but is it possible to "jump" between positions. I'm referring to jumping between 2 longitudinal positions- one a 3D cockpit view and one a 3D wing view.Thanks for any info, much appreciated.Bruce.

I'm having problems with the mixture on my CH Yoke USB. WinXP and FS2002 recognize the axis, but in the game it doesn't work and FSUIPC isn't recognizing the axis! Any suggestions?

I was just reading over at avweb.com about an emergency landing someone made when his engine quit at 2,000 just after takeoff. He said he turned around and did a straight in landing. I don't know for sure, but I took that to mean that he did a 180 and landed. Now, at what point does it actually become more important to land against the wind than it does to land NOW, or is that never the case?Also, is there anything in particular that makes a dead stick landing different from any other landing without power? Every now and then I see the term used in a way that makes me wonder if it means something special.Thanks!

I can't find the original post because it's apparently fallen into the archive and my search attempts eventually time out. Anyhow, wanted to report that the problem I was having with on-screen text showing up all weird has been resolved. I installed the latest NVidia drivers, 43.45, and the problem went away. So there you go... :)Thanks to all of you who suggested solutions.

Hi AllI've been using Nav 3 for a while now, running on a separate, networked PC. I find it great for following my flight progress and monitoring AI traffic, amongst other things. It's a great piece of software and its freeware!I've only recently discovered that as soon as I cross the Equator, from North to South, the Nav map vanishes! My aircraft symbol is still there, but the map and my flight plan are gone.Anyone else experience this and know of a fix?Thanks in advanceMurphy

I have been flying with flight Sim now for as long as I remember, but I want to try to improve my flying technique.Can anybody recommend a good aircraft to use in order to learn to fly flight sim in a more professional manor?Also any recommendations as to what type of flights to practise ?I normally try to practice circuits a lot but I cant seem to get any more accurate and smooth.Any suggestions would be welcome!Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to make FS2002 reset to a specific time after the plane has crashed. I don't like to be put to the very beginingt of the flight just because I made a mistake (and crash) on landing.

After debating which PC was best, I decided that the one with the following spec was more suited to my needs, but I need to know, is there anything in the following spec that should be avoided? Please be aware that I don't have any options as to changing things, as it is a pre-built computer, and is at the limit of my budget, so I cannot, for example, go putting in an ATI Radeon 9700Pro, or anything like that.
