Hiya, to anyone using the SSW's A310 FMGC, I am having some problems with the step climb. I have read the manual twice and this is what I am doing: I go to vertical revisions and then to 'STEP PRED' once there I type in the FL. I then get all the predications but they show up as zero. As well as this I always get the 'Step Less Than 15 Mins' message. This means, as I understand it, that the cruise at this FL will be less than 15min before the desent. That cannot be right because I still have around 3000nm left until T/D! I have a throttle quadrant from a Beech Baron that I have converted to FS use using linear pots from Mouser. It works well, especially with FSUIPC for calibration. The only problem is they still don't end up being "linear". On most models (and it does seem to differ a bit by model) the levers have almost no effect until they are at least 1/2 way up - maybe 2/3s of the way up. Fine control at cruise ends up depending on maybe 1/2" of throw at the firewall. That's disappointing because I did this so I would have that nice long travel distance for better control. I first noticed that my PSS A321 (I purchased the PSS Airbus Series soon after it was released; I have been delighted with it ever since) 2/3 weeks ago when it took a liking for crashing into the hills around Naples Airport (Rwy 24 Approach), that episode was sorted when I purchased a 'full set' of Jeppesen Charts. Ladies and Gentlmen,When flying over France, the weather always goes wack and my planes either accelerate by 100kts within a second or dcelerate by the same amount. I've noticed this for a long time, but I've never crashed multiple times in a row because of it. Must be some FS weather bug. Please let me know if you are aware of a remedy!Thanks,SP

Can anyone advise on how to get the GPS to work on these excellent aircraft without having to use the Flight Management computer.I would just like to use this aircraft as a straight forward FS aircraft.I have worked out A/P for height speed etc., but cannot get GPS heading to work!!Can this be done?Many thanks,rmceScotland

I just installed a TT Volcano 7+ with some antec reference silver thermal compound (yeah yeah, I know it's not AS3 but it's better than that white goop you get with everything) and I let it sit overnight before even powering up the system. I also put new (bigger) ramsinks on the back of my GF4 Ti 4200 which blocks the first ram slot so I had to move my ram to the second slot. I also put some TT ramsinks on my ram, but I had been running with those on for a day or two before installing the new HSF & ramsinks for my GF4. Now I seem to have trouble running the system at anywhere near the FSB I used to be able to. I'm stuck at a measly 140MHz vs. my previous 151MHz. …

I just read the review of this product on Flightsim.com. I've heard people here and there state they were very unhappy with the product so I never bought it. The review raves about "Fly to Hawaii" which I find difficult to take in when looking at the screenshots. First of all the plane looks like an early FSDS model, I'm sure it doesn't have cockpit landing lights. I have never seen pictures of the panel's side views, by the way speeking of the panel, it could almost past for an FS98 version. There are so many great planes, panels, and VC's out there in complete packages, I can't see how "Fly to Hawaii" is anything to rave about these days. Maybe it's a product like Wilco…

Hi All,Not that I am on the corner to watch if FS2004 is coming but I am very curious what MS will do on some nasty things in FS2002 that did anoying me very much.I am talking about the overall darkness on allmost every airport in FS2002.For some real frequently flyers among us I dont have to explain how well lit is a real airport!!!!You can allmost see a nickel lieingon the apron...Lighting up by the heavy lights thats surround me.I dont believe that there are no more flyers that are bother too by that unreal lightning which appears on most airports in FS2002.When I am on a rwy taxi to a gate or apron at night{in REAL} I can see clearly whats going on beside me looking t…

I am contemplating buying a more powerful PC and gather that FS2002 is processor-driven. How important is the sound card? Would an on-board sound card be adequate or would that be a false economy? If yes, what sound card would you recommend?Any advice gratefully received.
