Dear Avsim Friends, I am experiencing problems with my Ariane 737-300.The problem is that when at night,the Tail light,always lights when the Landing lights are on.(if the LNDG Lights are switched off the tail does not illuminates).Is this a problem from the Aircraft.cfg? or a problem from my video card? The air smells nice up here again... well, it's still my den but it feels different with my CH Yoke mounted to the desk. I have been on hiatus from flying for personal reasons for around 9 months. I just purchased a copy of FS2002Pro, and having previously used FS2000 I know that there are certain, shall we say, must have's / updates to make the simulation more accurate. I need some guidance with these (focusing on small, general aviation aircraft as I plan to start learning for a private pilot's license in the next year or so). Gents-I've been reading along, and have been trying to come up of a better way to support Pete with FSUIPC, as a commercial developer whose product will depend on his excellent utility!We all know that Pete's contribution to our hobby has been more than generous for the past few years. OK, somebody please explain this:I'm flying into LGA and approach vectors me to the ILS rwy 9R. They announce 'Clear ILS rwy 9R, maintain 2100 until established on the localizer'. I'm all lined up when they hand me off to the tower. When I call him up and report inbound ILS the tower says 'enter left downwind 27L' followed by 'cleared to land 27L number two follow the A321 on the runway'. Does that make any sense? Now, I know very little about computer programming. However, I have read posts where people have made comments that part of the framerate issues of FS2002 and prior versions were partially the result of programming sloppiness rather than just the complexity of the program. With FS2004, the designers are adding a "speed optimization phase" which supposedly they had neglicted to some degree on prior versions. I'm among the SoundBlaster users that have problems with WinXP and my SB Live card. I've seen several threads about people with Live and Audigy cards having the same problems (static, cracle & pop etc), and yet some with the same cards do not have a problem. The only solution so far is to disable hardware acceleration.I should be ordering the parts for my new system next week, and I was going to get an M-Audio Revolution 7.1. Hi all just a heads up to let u all know i have just flown the BBJ with the DreamFleet Panel and it all worked great with modifying a single thing. The only thing that dosent work well are the flasp but as the DF panel has call outs you can still tell where your flaps are.Even the Autoland worked Perfect.USE 100 for ZFG

Been kinda reading the issue about fsuipc's possible doom... does this include pfc.dll as well?? Or is PFC involved with Pete on that?Which leads to my question... if FSUIPC is incompatible with the new version... is PFC.dll going to be incompatible as well?? I could see M$ doing that somehow... I've 8 overlays for EGLL (Heathrow) and all is working easy. But when I noticed the landings, the aircrafts parked at the wrong gates at the wrong overlay. How can I make, that the aircrafts park at their specific gates? Shell I cange any frequnces or names? Plase help if you have the same problem....Much thanks

After some initial issues with the new server, we are happy to announce that it is now online and running the file library system. With this new server, we have separated the forums from the library which now allows for a substantial speed-of-response increase. Having this new server online will also allow us to re-introduce the next version of our forums software for stress testing in the not too distant future. I recall reading some time ago that there was, essentially, a minimum population "threshold" for a town to appear in the sim. For example Elko, NV with a population of 45,000 appears but, outside of the airport and Interstate 80, the town of Winnemucca, NV is nowhere to be found. Population of Winnemucca is approx. 10,000.Does anyone have any info. on this? Thanks.Bob
