Hi All,I am having mega trouble all of a sudden with controlling any aircraft within FS ? I have all the axis working ok on my Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick apart from the x axis or the ailerons ?I have calibrated it and it all worked fine.They do not function at all when flying, I downloaded last night the latest FSUIPC from Pete to see if that would alter anything (no) !!One strange thing that I have noticed is that on the Joystick tab of FSUIPC the Ailerons set button definitions are constantly altering, but when I move my Joystick I cannot re-set them to -16500 0 16500 (or what the exact setting is I cannot remember) !! It is like I have no control over them ?Please…

Like beating a dead horse, I know this topic has probably been beat to death and answers are all over the place. I searched for a while to help me understand all the items that go into improving and damaging frame rates.After excellent information from all of those who have contributed to the frame rate discussions in the past, I achieved no less than 18FPS with an average of about 22-25FPS (30+ at altitude). Hi All,Will these two work OK tegether or do I need to upgrade the ram to 333mhz? I had to flash the bios on my MSI KT3 Ultra mobo in prep for the 2800+ upgrading from a 2000+. This caused Windows XP to throw a fit and I had to re-install, after which all was great. The chip arrived yesterday and all works fine except when the machine is busting it's butt like when running FS. This causes the system to re-boot with no warnings or errors after about a minute of hard run time. It has happened with other programs as well so I know it is not just FS. The mobo says it will run the chip, but I wonder if that may be a possibility as well. I am trying to weed out the possibilite…

Hi all, I have recently had to reinstall my OS and F2k2. Previously F2k2 has been running great and I used to get a fair number of AI traffic with the slider set at 30-40. After the reinstall, I get nothing. I have set the AI traffic slider from 30-100 and get absolutely nothing. All the FS2k2 options are exactly the same as before the reinstall. The computer is setup exactly as before as well (same OS, same DirectX, same Nvidia drivers, etc). Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix? It's kinda lonely out there by yourself :)Thx,Eric

Looking for the FS2000 patch for David Drounin

Hey, Anyone else think that "Texture Only" aircraft files are really annoying. I don't know about you, but it really annoys me, cos im lazy and don't like the fuss of having to add it to my collection manually. I find it really annoying when I don't have the model and have to download two files. Anyone else hate it? I would rahter download that extra 400-700K and just be able to unzip the aircraft into my aircraft directory and it all be ready to fly as soon as I start FS up...anyway...sorry bout that...

I am starting to notice this nearly all the time at larger airports. Smaller ones seem to be ok so far. (where the AI traffic is sparce)For Example:I was sitting at a gate at Hong Kong international.... I simply loaded the sim & a flight plan, I definately didn't speed up the sim to potentially mess up the arrival /depart times of the AI craft.However I watched the AI steadily come into land, nicely spaced etc... & yet once landed, the aircraft just SAT on the runway instead of exiting & talking to ground to go to a gate etc. (There were plenty vacant.)This happenned over & over... eventually a queue of planes were just acting like lemmings filling up the …

All of a sudden my toe brakes stay on after applying.I have ch usb pedals.They have always worked fine but last night I discovered that for some reason the assignments had reverse checked so obviously I was having trouble taxiing.I reset them properly but now they stay on after applying.I have to hit the brake button on my yoke to get them to release.Thanks for any help.Ron

I purchased my $100 membership to FS Genesis a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to let everyone know how terrific the products are and how professional Jason and everyone else at FS Genesis have been. Their service was prompt, they followed up quickly on an address mistake on my part and were very helpful. It was all worth it on Saturday after installing the 9 CDs (!), Autogenious and the most current FS Genesis Landclass file to fire up my C115 Commander at Cortez Colorado, drop down into the valley of the Deloris River and run for 10 or 15 miles at near-to-ground level, the valley walls soaring above...Wild - too much fun.

Everyone seems to be going on about the FFX Boeing 737 aircraft, but I seem to have problems finding them...Where is th best place to download them? I have been to there website, but there is very little help there...Also is it true that they will be brining out the Boeing 737 series 300/400 & 500 ?Sorry if these are really dumb questions, but I new to this whole Fs thing.Kind Regards

I am still using Win98 as my os, but eventually I will be upgrading to a newer os. I was wondering if the newer operating systems make FS2002 run smoother/better?I ask this cause Ive been putting off getting a new os for months and I was thinking that FS2002 could be running better with the newer os.(I currently fly with all sliders up as high as they go and I get alright performance. Although there is room for improvment)

Hi, I can't seem to get the overhead bitmap to display in the Commander :-( . I've tried many, many different key combos and joystick assignments. The up view, regardless of what is programmed to trigger it, will not show the view.If there is anyone who can get this view, could you please give me a little assistance?Thanks, Adam P.S. HiJust a quick message to say that i recently purchased simwing's canary islands add-onn scenery package and have to say what an excellent purchase this was. If, like me, you enjoy charter flights to european holiday resorts, then this package won't dissapoint.My most recent flight took me to and from lanzarote. The airport's excellent - frame-rate friendly (probably due to its relatively small size) and superbly rendered. However, what impressed me the most was the improved mountainous terrain scenery and the numerous towns and vilages dotted around.
