hello I'm using a Saitek X-36 USB HOTAS with FS2002 and wondering how can I use the profile programed by saitek software in FS2002, because once FS2002 is loaded it usually "take controll" your the joystick profile. (FS2002 assign its' own profile to whatever joystick you're using)

Does anyone remember the old Flightboard 98 that came out with FS98? I've had it in my closet collecting dust for some time now, and have considered pulling it out again. I'm sure I'll need updated drivers for FS2002 (if applicable) or WinXP. Anybody have a website?Thanks.Ken

I'm mid-way into studying for the instrument rating (IR) written exam, and have recently sat down with my CFII (who I'll be working with later in the year on the practical piece). Coincidentally, I'm having the most amount of difficulty in the written study with the topic that my CFII said would be the most difficult to learn in actual flight: Positional awareness. By this I mean being put into a random situation where I have a heading (in the HI) and a VOR with a random OBS bearing, a CDI displacement and a TO/FROM flag. Bought this about 6 months ago. It was working allright(acceptable that is), but it has been acting up lately. It will deflect more to the left than to the right, and will deflect to the right when "pulling up" (about 80%-100% of diplacement range). I've calibrated it many times, but it will just not change these limits at all, even when calibrating. Should I get a new one or can I do somehting. I guess what I am looking for is anybody else who uses this joystick and has had the same experience. Also, anybody could recommend one for less than $100 that is reasonably accurate? I bought this software but chucked the CD jewel case as well as the box because I put my CD-ROMs in one CD holder folder.However, I just had to reinstall this and other add-ons and I realized I don't have the Product Key that came with the packaging.Can someone who has this product share this product key with me? Good Morning to All!I read the review and the following statment in the review I needed clarification."You either get full 2D with side views including your female First Officer or no side views and VC."I could be reading this wrong but I think it say's you have no side views with the VC. I didnt think that was posssible.Or does it mean you get a full 2D with side views and the female or no female and no side views, but you do have a full VC.Funny how a sentence can be confusing. OK, I've just about had it with FS2002. I purchased a new PC a little over two weeks ago (see specs below) and everything went great for about a week. Then I began experiencing FS Crashes (you know, we've got to send a report due to an error....... BS). Now, I get a crash 4 out of 5 flights. What finally frosted my cake is this: There I was flying a 757 from San Juan to Newark, at 39,000 ft minding my own business. I was 3+ hours into the flight, just about to decend when I got the FS Crash. Nothing especially was going on. I was flying at 2X with ActiveSky and Radar Contact. How does quickly check to determine which direct X version is installed ?

helloaccording to the thread I posted a few days ago and now is quite too long (http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID8/20023.html), one of the poster mentioned about an interesting aspect of unlimit visibility in FS that it is not correctly depicted. In reallity how far could a pilot really see in the weather catagorized as "unlimit visibility"? So I could set the limit in FS accordingly.

Lately, I have had trouble changing the digital display settings for the autopilot's heading, altitude and IAS. When the + and - appear as the mouse scrolls over the digits and by pressing the mouse to change the digits, the digits sometimes change only by tens instead of by ones. In other words, if the display reads 314, for example, it can only be changed to 304, 294, 284, etc., but not to 313, 312, 311, etc. This makes it impossible to dial in the correct heading, altitude or airspeed. After a while, the ability to correctly make settings returns, but then the same thing happens again. Does anyone have any cause or correction for this problem? It's quite frustrat…

Due to a necessary reinstallation of FS2002 I discovered that the MiniPanel (operated by keyboard "W") is only showing the standard gauges. It had previously shewn these, plus a Trim Gauge and a Flaps Gauge but I can`t find the zip file and can`t remember its name.Can someone help please??Many thanksGeorge

I was just thinking if most of the FS payware, mostly from small groups is legal. What I'm talking about is the selling of textures that feature airline paint schemes. Do these payware groups get permission from every airline, that they paint, to sell their name and logos without having to dish out royaly fees. Or is all this done behind the airline's back. Take for instance, Flight 1/ Project AI's upcoming payware AI release that is too feature close to every airline in the world, I can't imagine that they got signed permission from everyone. I know years back, Midwest Express (now Midwest) wouldn't grant rights to people to sell airplane models with their paint scheme…

Just loaded up the textures to my favorite Dc6 of the Northern Air Cargo scheme. Just curious, is there a Northern Air Cargo Virtual airlines anywhere? I was checking the actual page of Northern Air and saw that they had a lot of 'flagstops' on there normal route. Looks interesting to try and get a Dc6 into some of theses places :-scatter
