FS 2002 PRO. Been working fine for over a year. Updated Windows 98 last week from Microsoft Web site and now getting this error as soon as I start FS. I can go around the error but display is not what it used to be. Any ideas?SOFTWARE 3D ENABLEDSafe mode has been enabled because your system is currently unable to use hardware acceleration. ..........I have not changed any graphics cards or any hardware.

I'm thinking of doing some cargo night flights. As has been mentioned here before, the stock FS2002 city night lights are quite dim. Does anyone have a solution to making them brighter (able to be seen from a greater distance as in real life?)?Thanks,Bruce.

Hi,I recently purchased the VMAX 747-200 add on and have found it very good and have had no problems flying or operating the aircrafts systems. I have found one small problem that I hope someone can help me with I was landing and decided to "repaly" my landing and watch it from the tower view, I noticed that the aircraft seems to make contact with the ground (and touch down) when it is still floating in mid air above the runway. Am I able to fix this some how or does anyone have any new "contact points" for this aircraft?Thanks

I was wondering when there will be new screenshots of fs2004, showing different cities in the world, ground textures, clouds, cbs(thunderstorms with lightning). I am getting excited about the new version. It looks even better than fs2k2.

I have installed the new 737-200 FX series and married it up to a great 737-200 panel by Helio Estrada. It seems as if it all works and I've checked the flap indicator in particular which is fine.But the trouble is, when I marry this FS plane up to the equally beautiful 737-200 panel, perhaps even better, by Terblanche Jordan, which I've had for a long time, the cockpit flap indicator gives completely false readings with this specific aircraft model, i.e., when I'm actually at flaps 5, the flaps indicator reads flaps 1; when at flaps 15, the flap indicator gives me a reading of flaps 2. So I can never be sure where my flaps really are as a result and it's too dangerous …

What gives with this darn glowing airplanes at night and the wicked looking night lighting? My plane is the only one not glowing... looks kind of strange. Also, what's with those darn flightline lights? They are far too large and there are too many of them. Is that a careless oversight on the part of the developers or what? Both of these flaws are bad, but Simflyers is the best there is. Is there any kind of fix for these obviousl problems?Robb

Got a couple of questions:1) What is the ZFW of the PA plane? 128,000?2) I noticed that the number of fuel tanks differs between the PA and the PSS model. Is this important? Should I change the number of PA fuel tanks to 3, like the PSS one? And if I do that, do I need to modify any of the values after the fuel tank label? These appear, to my lamen eyes, to be values of how big those tanks are, where they should go, and how much they hold.3) Air file....should I just use the PA one?Thanks

I don't know why they are calling this a new release. I bought SkyRanch a few months ago for fs2000. It was one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever purchased. Their addon planes are just comical - the VC's look like they were done by a 10 year old. The SkyRanch scenery itself was just terrible.I emailed Abacus asking when the product was going to be fixed. They responded that they were aware of the state of the product, and that they were trying to get in touch with the developer to fix it. Well, it never got fixed.Buyer Beware, don't waste your money with this addon - it's a joke.

Some how I lost gps gauge. when I use the gage it is just black. Can anybody tell me where I can get it back.Thanks JerBear

We all know that 767 Pilot in Command is the king of the heavy PC flight simulators. What would consider to be the king of the single engine PC sims? That is, I (and probably a lot of others) am looking for a small light weight (C-172, 182, Mooney...) that acts and has the feeling of a real light weight aircraft. I have been simming using the default C-182 and it just seems too easy to fly and land. It's just a matter of pointing it to the runway and lifting up on the nose a little while reducing power and you will land easily, the only variable seems to be how high you bounce if you don't get it quite right. That seems to be the case with the default heavies as well…

Hello All:As it stands in FS2002, anyone who doesn't like Microsoft's default joystick button assignments and control surface sensitivities has to go into the program's "Options" menu and change them at the start of every simming session. I find no way, inside the program, to "save" my new settings after they are made. Does anyone know how I can replace Microsoft's default joystick assignments with my own? Thanx for any help.

I'm getting hyped about Ultimate Traffic from Flight1 that will be soon coming out. I found myself wondering why MS didn't include such a functionality within it's own program. I have two thoughts, either they're not willing to invest the time into the program to pain so many aircraft, or two, they would potentially have licensing problems from using the logos of all these airlines. I know this is the main reason that the Concorde was struck from FS'02. If this is the case, how can Ultimate Traffic work out such details as making, if only half as much, a significant amount of money off of selling this product with all these airlines? And if it's the former, not enoug…

hi all, help needed , i have been learning how to use afcad for aircraft at airports and as i am new to this flight simming it seems like i am slowly getting there , what i would like to know is how do i fill up the parking spaces say at los angeles with a lots of static aircraft, i don,t want a dozen planes all lined up waiting to take off but it would be great to have a lot more all round , at the moment i don,t understand about a1 flights etc but would like to learn more, i have looked at some how to sites but have found them from last year or older, with this g max now building the aircraft whats the way to go? thanks ,

I am trying to do a NAT filing, but am having trouble with the NAT tracks. I have been to navdata and looked those over, but how do you file with the abundance of info?Can someone give me an example of how it should look??

First, this applies to the default Cessna 172/182 (but I wouldthink it applies to most general aviation/jets as well).I have no problems in setting the frequency in the NAV1 and slavingthe autopilot to navigate from VOR to VOR. However, although I can set the frequency in the NAV2 and adjust the OBS in the VOR2 gauge,I cannot get the autopilot to slave to the NAV2 frequency.Any ideas?JerryG
