Was just on the Gateway website and saw that you can now get Hyper-thread 400mhz hard drives is 2.6, 2.8 and 3.0 speeds. At this rate theres a good chance I will up grade my whole system when the new Nvidia gForce FX 5900 ultra 256 ram card comes out. I'm very happy with my system but right now you can get a 3 gig HT with faster ram for under 2000 bucks subtract speakers and monitor. By the time the new FX ultra cards are released it might even be way cheaper. I fully believe that after 3gig you are over buying for Flight sim and since that is my most used program I'll spend the extra cash on the video card then.Kilstorm

Hello,Now with the Dambusters add-on being picked up by Strategy First and since it will be available (hopefully) at Electronics Boutique in the next few days for $19.99, I was thinking about picking it up. I'll be primarily using it in CFS2 and was wondering if any owners had any comments or opinions on it? I know the package doesn't have the most cutting edge panels and aircraft but the actual raids interest me a lot and I'm mainly concerned with how well the actual bombing is simulated. Again, my "biggest fan" (or another one) has contacted us over at FFX/SGA and left us a nice email. At least this one was better presented than some of the others. But what really ####### me off is the fact that the people that love to nitpick about our birds NEVER use a valid email address. Hello, I know this might be corny but I am a fan of defunct airlines. As a kid I use to hang around Chicago Midway Airport. I would like to have repaints of the FFX 727 and dc9 in the following color schemes. AMERICAN TRANS AIR 727KIWI INTERNATIONAL 727MIDWAY AIRLINES DC9 MD 80SI would do it myself but I dont have the programs to make the textures like some of you guys if anyone is willing to take on the challenge I would greatly appreciate it and I sure some other fans of the airlines I mentioned would too. thanks a lot! you guys are great!

I found out on the 19th that Aerosofts Eurowings ATR42/72 standalone package was available. Without thinking twice I downloaded the package (70 Mb!) and ran it. They use Flight1 E-Commerce program that works fine (I have the Meridian, the C421, the Beechjet 400A, DF 737-400, etc. and they all use the same installation program!). The transaction could not be completed because the price on the program was 0.00USD! I emailed Aerosoft and the next day I got a mail saying the corrected version was now online. I downloaded the package again (another 70 Mb) and this time all went well, paid the 20.00USD and installed the product. As soon as I chose one of the ATRs I got an error…

hi everyone HELP!i have fs2002 installed and have a problem with the sound files put simply .... my sound files are either missing or disabled.i hate to sound like a total gimp but atc, engine sounds , prop sounds... basically everything is not operating.the only thing i have available is the cessna wheels rolling sounds and this stops as soon as my wheels are off the ground.... then silence ..... i have tried re-installing fs2002 twice but the sound files seem to be corrupted or disabled in some way and as im not a computer whizz i was hoping somebody out there in the fs community could give me a fool proof solution.come on guys help me out regards slickstick

Last week I downloaded a Israel Westwind 2 biz jet (very cool plane) and I can't get FS2002 ATC to reconize the plane as a Israel Westwind.In the aircraft cfg file I have the the ATC section set up like thisatc_type=Israelatc_model=WestwindThe way I have it now FS2002 ATC says Israel, but not Westwind. How do I make it so ATC says the full name of the plane, a Israel Westind?

How to land perfectly on the runway?And on the plane before departure, why the pilot has to throttle the engines. However the plane didn't go fast on the taxiway?

Great job on this aircraft, which has proved the most popular of the NG series.....Any plans on adding the blended winglets that some airlines are ordering, like ATA? That would be something to see with this model.... Only recently, I had an ATA aircraft buzz my house on approach to Sky Harbor with the winglets.... Very impressive!This aircraft is yet another "niche filler" I think.... Falls nicely between the smaller jets, and the larger 757's.... I love the work and thought put into both the model, and the repaints.... Way to go!-John

Everybody knows how flawed fs2002 is regarding aircraft handling while not airborne. True masterpieces such as RealAir's SF260 suffer a LOT from the fact that FS has been lacking an appropriate physics model of ground friction (fs4 did have it, as there were in fact two models - ground and air - and the simulation switched from one to the other as soon as one got airborne!!!).In fs2002 if you want a realisticaly dampened prop airplane in terms of Yaw, it will "dance" sideways over the runway as you increase throttle and the takeoff run starts, or if there is the slightest crosswind component. I just installed FS2002 on my new system and I find that with every aircraft the landing lights are a very bright white color and from every angle very big looking and almost cartoonish looking. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this and make the landing lights smaller and more realistic because I cant figure out how to. Any help is appreciated.

Why is it not possible to have AI generated flights in a 'personal'(not VATSIM or the like) multiplayer game?My brother and I often hook up and fly together. Sometimes we take turns in the ATC role. I have often wondered how cool it would be to try and sequence him for landing behind several other inbound flights or have to issue trafic adivories and the like. However without online AI flights you are left with just him and I in the virtual skies. Is it me or is this the first time that MS has allowed for a press issue to be reviewed an written on. I remember last version we got screenshots from souces that were not approved from MS as well as some inside info. But for this new release MS is allowing for an outside party or more to review and write about the new sim. Just bought both last night and wow they are great. They have turned the default King Air and Lear into completely new aircraft. Both Jean-Luc and Uwe state that there will be more panels available very soon. So, if you haven't got yours yet, GET EM! The smoothness and clarity are unmatched. Hi GuysThis is probably a strange one but i've attempted to update the NVidia drivers for my GeForce 3 Ti200 from 21.83 to either 29.42 or 42.01. However, after each install, the cockpit view of my PSS A320 now shows a "weird" discolouring" effect on the panel bitmap when AA is enabled. The only way to remove it is to either disable AA or stretch the external view all the way to the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know a way o make the controls for the def Learjet less sensetive without changing the joystick settings?

A few months ago there was a payware Learjet 35 available (I remember it was like $10) Does anoyone remember what the web site was for this plane? And if you have this plane, what is it like? Good handling? Good model itself?Also I have a general payware question, If a payware plane does not work good on a computer after it is purchased is it posible to get your money back? Approaching Emma Field on approximately the 258 radial from the SEA VOR at approximately N47* 27.85' W123* 4.99' there are two waterfalls.I am aware that Emma Field does not exist but are those two waterfalls there in real-life or are they a feature of Emma Field?

does anyone know if u can use the dash 7 panel from PSS with the model from Oleg Frelov? I have heard how great the flight dynamics are for his plane but that the panel is very hard to read. so is it possible to have the best of both worlds?
