I have been working on and off on a program called Preferred Route and it is just a simple MS Access database that is used to store and retrieve my personal flight plans that I have found, created, or been given over the years. It is a big upgrade from a text pad :). After a whole year of keeping "Preferred Route" to myself, I am wanting to develop it more and finally get it into it's own self executible program interface. Adding to this will also be the "Airport Terminal Information" database which I recently created in order to keep up with where to park at the many airports I visit with the two or three liveries I fly. Closing on SHAPP isec we have an overlap issue on the GPS readout. Problem seems to be certain 4 character identifiers whose range is >10mls. I'm now seeing ANGUS with the same problem. Running 1280 res. Full or windowed makes no difference.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/10477.jpg

Hello,Just loaded up the RealAir Simulations Marchetti, and of course everything that's been said about this wonderful package is true- even better than I expected. Worth every cent and more! If you don't have it, get it. Anyway, I've run into a strange glitch that I haven't seen anyone else report on- in the virtual cockpit, I have my joystick hat switch set to pan the view. But in this plane, it seems like there's some imbalance between panning to the left and right in the Marchetti- left goes very slowly, while it goes to the right much faster. I've been reading about this Captain Sim 727 lately, and I remember that it took forever to come out and many simmers were angry about the promised time and delivery time. But all I've been reading about his plane has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. Now it's been updated on its flight dynamics and other things. Should I buy it? Will it be compatible with MSFS 2004? I'm interested in your opinion cause it seems like a cool plane to have in the stable. What are its negatives versus its postitives? Thanks in advance, Stan

I thought I would hop in my Beech King Air 350 and I am missing almost all of my gauges. I don't know how this happened. There are a few engine gauges but most everything else is gone! Maybe it's just me but it seems this new Beechjet is really hard on framerates (and I have a ATI 9700pro Video card). This is in both 2D and 3D cockpits. Dear All,I prchased the FlightOne,Dreamfleet2000 Cessna Cardinal the other day and WOW :-badteeth is it fantastic!?The aircraft moddeling is brilliant!But what really makes the aircraft is the cockpit and VC!Theres hardly any difference between the two its so good!I like it when you turn the key and the pilot shouts "Prop clear!"! Another nice touch are the oil cans in the back and the tie down ropes and chocks.A must see.The only trouble is landing in turbulance!(cant stop bouncing!:-zhelp )ThanxTheo, Sunny South Africa

Hello All,Does anyone get what I can best describe as a "jitter" in virtual cockpit view, the entire screen image doing a little jerk up and down in a fraction of a second? I'd say it was Microsoft's poor attempt at simulating turbulence but its pretty poor if it is... I'm new to MSFS2002, so wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if its a standard bug. Seems to go away with flying time, too- most pronounced in the first few minutes after takeoff. My system has lots of horsepower so I don't think its ram or CPU related, and I run a Radeon 9700 Pro.Any insights appreciated, thanks!Joel

I have a perfectly servicable Sidewinder FF stick (version one). It is not USB. I notice windows XP lacks a proper driver to enable FF for this stick, it merely calls a generic driver which enables the axis and buttons but does not provide FF controls, hence the stick is unusable except for helicopters. Does anyone know of a source for XP drivers for this version (not Sidewinder FF2).Secondly, most current decent joysticks are USB, but my rudder pedals are Game Port connected. I can't find a way of enabling my rudder pedals in tandem with a USB stick. It seems everything must be USB or everything must be Game port. Hi all. Does any one know where i can fine a nice fan groan sound. I fly dc-10s and that sound is very pronounced around 90% n1. Even on the ground when a 10 takes off you hear it very well.

I just bought a logitech Wingman Force 3D.My problem is that when I engange the autopilot and loose the stick it starts going back and forth, and it becomes wilder and wilder. It almost oscilating. In fact it is jumping up and down on the table.I just want it to stay in one position, as in real life, depending on how I have trim'ed the plane.I think the only panel wich doesn't have this problem is PSSA320 because they did the trick by disconecting / ignore all the inputs from the joystick when the autopilot is enganged.Is it possible to do this myself? Can I change something in any .cfg and so that the joystick is "disconnected" when the autopilot is enganged?Or do anyone…

hi I'm flying FFX737-200 with Ariane Analogue TCAS II panel. The problem is I can't see taxi light from cockpit. As far as I know this problem usually happen only to non GMAX aircraft, so how can this happen? thanks

I am in the process of buying Mesh, Landclass and scenery files for Europe. Does anyone have a recommendation of how to find VOR Frequencies. Either by using existing FS2002 methods or maybe an add-on which shows a high level visual similar to a sectional? Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Today I tried to go to te taxiwaysigns.com web site to see if anything new was added, but instead of going right to the web site it asked me for a password first. Is this something new for the site? How do I log on to the site? I never got a password for the site. Or maybe they moved the site to a new or different address?

Hello there! I've downloaded 2 different POSKY 767s from Delta. One of the two has the problem that it doesn't reach its assigned altitude without slowing down and stalling. I know I'm not a professional user :( I just climb like 1500-2000 fpm @ .60m I can't find any manuals to let me know the exact rates in order to reach FL310 in a realistic manner for example. .air or .mdl problem? or am I just not a pro user of the a/c?The 2nd a/c does just fine in climbing but the autopilot cannot maintain a steady altitude w/o going up and down all the timeSuch a shame - I love the models, but I guess I can't use them correctly. i have a multiple monitor setup and i am flying the PSS747 panel, on the second monitor i have the FMC and radio and Timer also with the Squawkbox text box, i want to know how i can ensure in the future when i start FS i get all these FMC etc opening automatically on the second monitor,also is there anyway to ensure the zoom settings from inside the cockpit, i like mine at 0.31 factor what do i need to change in the panel.cfg file?
