hi alli am experiencing some sort of troubles with the FFX 737-800.while flying at FL370 the aircraft always fly's 5-10 degrees nose upthis is not normal. could anyone help?thxMartin

Hi All, I have been a big Microsoft Flight Sim fan for a very long time. I have had Version 5, I think, 95, 98 (very good) then tried 2000. FS2000 in my opinion had very poor frame rates. I understand that my computer was probably the reason. My system was far from slow. Well I ended up buying X-PLANE. This simulator is very good but..........its always a work in progress. Out of the blue I bought FS2002 knowing it was going to run really bad. Well to my surprise this version runs great! I am really happy. The frame rate is good and the sim over all is what I expect from Microsoft. Its kind of funny I get 2002 right when 2004 is on it way. People always trash Microsoft …

I just got back from vacation, which included 2 really neat days touring Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. (Yes, there's so much to do, it really does take that long!) It was incredibly moving to stand at Pad 34 and LC-39 (Pad 34, site of the Apollo 1 fire and LC39, where Columbia launched from a few short months ago) as well as the pad where Alan Shepard launched in 1961. So, I came home and immediately began looking around for some scenery of the Cape area. The problem is, I haven't found any except some old stuff for FS98. Weird this...I understood that FSDS2 modelled aircraft allowed you to see the landing lights on the runway from the cockpit view.However, I downloaded David Maltby's FSDS2 VC-10 model and you can't. Any ideas anyone?

Help! :-hmmmI just installed the EditVoice 2.0 and added some voice files for some airlines and since then I have lost the ability to ust the integrated ATC (ie call the tower for take-off, ATIS, and so on) Do I need to re-install the voice cab file or do I need to re-install FS :(Hope some one can helpKevin

A long while ago. Someone, might have been Gary Hayes(not sure) posted a link to a site that had just about all of the airlines in Japan for AI. Anyhow the more important thing, on this site they had an airport.txt file that had just about every airport know to man listed in it(somewhere in the neighborhood of 20,000). Having it sure made adding AI ailines that fly to places that are not in the default airport.txt file. If you have to trade other "big" performance-affecting aspects of FS2k4, what will they be?For me, visibility - I usually don't go more than 20 miles anyway, and 10 at most in our humid summertime conditions. That's low and VFR, of course.Next goes mesh density.If the ATC/Traffic works well, I want to keep it heavy...Just wondering -Andrew

I thought I saw in here, several days ago, a post that talked about adding windows to the panel.cfg file. These windows were able to contain chart images that you could view while flying. Has anyone seen this, or is my imagination running wild? A forum search didn't turn up anything, either.Thanks,Chris

I would like to know why when I use the same gauge in 2-d panel and I put it onto the virtual panel it looses detail and some of its diplay features, and also shouldnt all gauges that work in 2-d panel alsowork in virtual panel , is their any config settings in FS to change this

I'm giving this another shot. I just installed Abacus EZ Landmark which reads a database and displays the name, bearing, and distance of many FS2002 landmarks. The program works fine but about every 30 seconds my sim pauses for about a second. It is quite annoying and I have no other pauses or problems with my system. It is a 2.8 P4 with a gig of ram and an NVIDIA 128 mb TI4600G card. Abacus teck support says they are stumped asside from trying an updated video driver which I did but did not solve the problem. Does anyone out there have any ideas? Abacus claims the program is "simply accessing the included database and telling FS to draw the info above the appropriate sce…

I dont know how long this has been available but I just came accross it from their site. I just wanted to say that I think this was very, very well done with quite a professional 'edge' to it. I am not in the media industry and I cant judge it on that level. But, as a simple consumer I would like to say BRAVO to the video production team.

I recently downloaded the Service Release for the FSD Super Cub 180. After I extracted the files I noticed the installer replaced the aircraft.cfg file dated 1/14/2002 with a file dated 10/20/2001 which includes the following comments in the GENERAL section:"performance=RELEASE CANDIDATE 10 SEP 2001"Does anyone know why the file is being replaced by an older version labeled as a release candidate? There are some differences in the files; the contact points in particular are different so I would like to be sure I'm using the correct configuration file.

Anyone know if TrackIR will work with the clickable VC cockpits in Century of Flight? I'm considering purchasing it, but I want to make sure that the head motion isn't going to interfere with the cursor that activates the cockpit controls. Anyone have any insight into if/how this will work?Also, has anyone found a better deal on the TrackIR? $120 is just a bit more money than I want to spend. I've seen deals on it for below $100 but can't seem to find anything now.

I just observed that I think that my throttle wheel does NOT interfere with the AT of the PSS 744 and 777 panels, i.e., no joystick "noise." Is this possible? For 2 years before I had the FFB2 stick, I seemed to have trouble using both throttle mechanisms together. With other sticks, if I set the thrust to say 60% on the joystick wheel and then engaged TOGA within the PSS cockpit, there was always a conflict with N1 rising and falling during the t/o roll and then in flight.Is this a real observation or an accident/coincidence? Has anybody else gotten their FFB2 stick to work with the PSS AT without doing any work via FSUIPC or anything else?JS
