Hey all,Has anyone else looked at the Lockheed Vega movie? Maybe I'm seeing things, but In the second half of the clip, while it's between cloud layers it looks as though there are several areas of virga. There's a lot of it at the aircraft's 12 o'clock, but the camera pans by very quickly. You can see a bit more off the left wing when the camera stops panning.Could it be that this is really virga? Or do you think its some clouds sprites gone awry?Take a look...Regards,Nick

  4. I recently upgraded my system in preparation for FS2004 COF but when I downloaded the newest drivers for my old Audigy card I now hear my ATC transmissions garbled, and I lose all ATC sound after 5 or ten minutes. All other sound is OK. If any of you are using an Audigy card on a Windows XP operating system, what drivers are you using?Appreciate any help or suggestions given.

Hey everyone, does anyone know if Flightcraft is back on track? Also, does anyone know the status of their upcoming Dash 8-100? I saw some previews for it a while back (late April) in the screenshots forum, but no word since their site went down. Any info is definitely appreciated. Thanks for reading!George

I am having a problem with AFCAD.I am trying to make a file for for the new scenery for EGLC, but am having problems with the taxiways. Although the runway has three links to the apron, departing and arriving aircraft are using the same one causing head to head jams when using 28. Is there a way to designate departing aircraft to one link and arrivials to one of the others? Hi guys, I would like to inform you that a new scenery for Lampedusa Island is ready and online for all flight simmers. Lampedusa is a small island in the south of Malta and very close to Tunisa and Pantelleria. This scenery was done using GMAX and FSArchitect. Photorealistic textures are also included. Pictures where taken when I visited the island on August 2003 with my firends on a Cessna 206. You can download the scenery by visiting the web site on www.globezone.net/lampedusascenery/index.htmlBest RegardsMauro Caruana

  12. I thought that the FS2002 lesons were poorly done - the audio was extremely difficult to hear and understand and the advanced ATP lessons started out in mid-air and assumed that you already knew how to fly a jet.Would it be possible for anybody to review these aspects of the new Sim?Thanks Barry

My FS2K2 runs under Windows XP on a 1.8 GHz Intel P4 Dell PC with 256 MB of memory, GeoForce 2 MX/MX graphics adapter with 64 MB of memory. When I start FS2K2, my frame rates are fantastic even at max settings and complex scenery. However, gradually during flight, FS2K2 slows its response as I try to switch between cockpit and spot view. By the time I do final approach at destination, FS2K2 struggles as if it is jammed up. Often, I have to restart FS2K2 to continue flying to another destination or change aircraft. Is this a memory setting problem or FS2K2 feature or what? Are there some settings to change to overcome this problem? Many ThanksRaad

Hello,I'm having a never ending problem with gauge refresh rates in FS2002 virtual cockpits and I cannot find a resolution. Specifically, when switching to most aircraft VC's I encounter very jerky gauge movements. The outside scenery display is smooth in VC mode but suffers from 'patchy' ground texture loading, i.e., there will frequently be blank square sections of ground texture tiles for a fraction of a second at intermittent times. This only happens when I am in the VC view. I experience neither gauge stuttering nor patchy ground texture loading when using 2D cockpit views and/or spot plane views. My computer specs include:CPU: Athlon XP 2100+MB: Asu…

Hello @all,I am experiencing problems with FS2002 graphics. I.e., when looking out of the cockpit, almost everything is fine, but when looking sideways, close landscape is layed over the bottom part of the plane's interior. Also, I cannot see other airplanes when they are below the horizon -- this is especially bad when taxiing... Furthermore, I cannot even see my own plane when looking from an outside view (except for the prop...).My graphic card is not the best (Elsa Winner II), so maybe that's the problem. If anybody knows how to solve the problem, please post.

Hi All,I believe MS has detailed about 12 more airports in FS COF. From screenshots I've been able to identify KDFW, KJFK, KMIA, EHAM, and Sydney as five of the new detailed airports in FS COF. Does anyone know the others? It seems to me that there's is a lot less secrecy regarding FS COF vs. previous releases, at least judging by the screenshots. Does anyone else think so?Thanks,JoeKIAD

I've done bad things and wish to correct them. I've sent "letters of thanks" to some of the authors of the fine FS adons. The have usually been along the lines of "thanks for your great thing, but I have a problem". I want to publicly thank All devolpers of Flight Sim add ons. Not just the people who make the things I personally use, but flat out every one who has contributed to the Flight Sim expierence. Compared to many of the sim pilots I'm relitively new to flight sim, only 3 years worth of flying. But I've seen many devolpers and their first efforts. And seen the improvements they have made on their skills of devolping even better and better FS add ons. I've also …

Sorry if this has been brought up already, but here's what I'm wanting to know.As you all know, Kingman Az, Victorvill Ca are storage area's for retired aircraft. How could I place 707, 727, 737, DC-10's 747, and DC-9's for static display in MSFS 2002? Or, has this scenery already been done for FS? If so, I've missed it somewhere. What could be more fun, then taking a retired 727 to Kingman and parking it next to a titanic display of other retired aircraft in the desert? ;)DocCorsair

You can't possibly be serious! If you've been at all following the development of FS2004, you'd know that huge improvements over FS2002 have been made. The flight dynamics of the new additions are being praised by real-world pilots who've flown them. Two good examples are:1. The Spirit of St Louis, with flight very accurate to its real-life counterpart. This is demonstrated by flight performance numbers very close to the real one, as well as an inherent instability, which makes it quite demanding on the pilot. This was done intentionally, by the way.2. The Wright Flyer. Once you try flying this thing when FS2004 is released, you'll certainly appreciate the skills the …

Yep. I just deleted every payware item on my FS2002 drive. All 5+GB of it. No commercial add-on will ever reside there again. I'm going back to using only those add-ons developed by those folks who dearly love this hobby and who contribute so much to the enjoyment of it for all us - and who do so totally free of commercial concern. And if you're still paying attention Ken, the count is now up to eight.Trip
