Hello!As some of you may have noticed, Microsoft just missed to include the Main river, one of the larger german rivers which goes strait through Frankfurt to the Rhein in Flight Simulator 2002. Now Rainer Duda from the "Germany VFR" team has released a scenery addon which adds the Main river and the major lakes along it as freeware. Hi all,I think there are some questions that need answering, by MS, beta testers, or whoever knows.1) will AFCAD still work, if not does this mean all our scenery is as good as useless?.2) What addons will defenitly not work?I know we will probley find out at the various forums, but I really think there should be a community place where all addon developers (especialy payware) should post there thoughts or results. IMHO there needs to be one place with a list of addons that are working or will not work, a link to the patch. Well, quite a performer! The upgrade is well worth the $10...It looks beautiful, especilly in the Kokopelli scheme. Couple of problems (There doesn't seem to be an FSD forum despite links on the FSD site?)1. The cabin pressurisation seems to be affected by changes in the light, if I fly during the day (between 11am and 1pm)no problem, but at dusk each time there's a change in the light the cabin pressure goes to the outside air pressure, switch to max pressure and the cabin pressure slowly returns and the passengers recover :-)2. Can't keep the poor passengers warm, cabin temperature seems to have a mind of it own.3. It is tricky to see where you are going during the lan…

I have a desktop (server) and laptop (client)running WinXP. I finally got widefs on the laptop to say "connected" when I load FS2002 on the server. I tried using Delorme Street Atlas 2003 and Microsoft Streets2003, but can't get either to connect to gps. Do both computers have to have the same com ports? My desktop is (the server)com2 and the laptop (the client)is com1. Any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks for any help.

I know this is a simple question to ask, put probably complex to answer - What is the 'best' way to get the new FFX 737's and MelJet's 777-200ER's to show up as AI traffic instead of just the default airlines? I don't want to 'get rid' of the default 737-400's and 777-300's, I just want to see a little change of pace...Any help is greatly appreciated!Scott

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about regarding FSUIPC becoming shareware or payware; whatever you would like to call it.There are a lot of other folks out there who are profiting from their endeavors be it aircraft or navaids. There are also folks among that group who are selling products that quite frankly wouldn't be that good it they were freeware.FSUIPC has enabled add-ons to work that otherwise would not function without this utility.I doubt that Peter will be charging an exorbitant price for FSUIPC and perhaps he should be liscensing the product to developers.At any rate I personally have no problems with the change.If you wish to fly realistically then I would …

Hi!I'm intrigued by FS multiplayer. Can someone tell me what's the most important stuff in the multiplayer scene. I know about VATSIM. What else is there that people do? Can you provide some links where I can read about FS multiplayer things (besides VATSIM).. what are crucial addons.. where to go for activities and such.I thank you!

OK real pilots, how's it done.I know you take into account the following;-weight-trip distance-holding pattern-taxi time-alternate distance-weather-speedSo do you just use that or do you add something like a turnaround. Do some airlines require that if possible you be able to fly back to your departure? What else is taken into account for fuel load. I find that when I do my trip and figure out my fuel it seems that you are taking a chance if you don't add some extra for the "just in cases."

hi all,well i was having a look at some of the pics presented at fsgateway.com and have observed the AI traffic landing at this airport.As you can see the circles in this airport, it looks like the landing traffic are using the right runway [from direction of flight] and the departing traffic are using the left runway,what is your opinions of this, do you think AI use multiple runways?p.s i am not expecting responses from the beta people, due to any NDA violations, i am asking the general public for their response,thx!http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/16615.jpg

Ladies and gentlmen, I am in dire need of help.I downloaded the Seoul Incheon Scenery from vatkor and for some reason... - the AI aircraft don't show up there- I can't get Radar Contact to start thereI think it has to do with the default aero field that keeps showing up in the directory.Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help because I'd love to fly Korean Air into and out of Incheon and currently, I can't. I've already fiddled around with it, but to no avail. Okay, I've managed to download the Radeon Omega Drivers v2.4.43 based on the Catalyst 3.4 drivers for my newly acquired Radeon 9800 Pro and the installation proceeded smoothly.BUT, and it's a very big but, I've tried every which way but can't seem to overcome the 60Hz refresh problem. My display sticks stubbornly at 60Hz despite repeated fresh installations and the use of Omega's Refresh Force Utility. In desperation I tried PowerStrip but even it seems incapable of holding my chosen refresh rates: 100Hz for 1024x768 and 85Hz for 1280x960 are two examples. Of course it may well be that I don't fully understand how to use PowerStrip properly for this purpose.I never had th…

Hi there,I'm sorry I'm posting this here but I haven't registered yet to the Lago forum. Did anyone try this add-on yet? I purchased it and updated it with the GA.cfg file provided in the lago forum but as of right now I simply can not use this program :-(While I'm in the air the effects are really great but even in "normal" thunderstorms (as there is one right now in KCLE) the aircraft can't even be taxied (that was a B757)?!Whenever there are thunderstorms in the area the aircraft just starts bouncing like a rubber ball (on the ground that is). I already tried turning down most of the effects but to no avail. Is there anything I'm missing? I'd really love to get this to…

hi I think Lago's FS maintainance is a very interesting program and add a whole lot of realism to FS experiance. But unfortunatly I fly GA aircraft and when I have to use full throttle for takeoff and climb out, the program just keep bugging me. Is there a way to tweek the program to match the aircraft you fly? Anyway I really like the concept that it made every plane unique for it's condition. Now my FS planes won't be like 100 pct perfect for always..

We have new roll sounds on the runway which is nice. I want someone to come up with the sound that a small plane makes when it is off the runway---sort of a clatter, rattle sound.
