Could some one please do a repaint of the FFX 737-800 (with winglets) in either BBJ house colours or in some kind of smart looking corporate coloursPS. Does anyone know if FFX will bring out the real BBJ, the 737-700 ( The-800 is the BBJ2)

I've been practicing landing a 737 for a bit, and I got it down (except for some reason the Approach button doesn't work! It always descends too fast or too slow. Anyone know what my problem is?) and now I'm trying to do some crosswind landings. The problem is I usually let the autopilot take care of setting up the approach and I just do the last 1000 feet or so manually, since I'm horrible at aiming straight at the runway. When I do this in a crosswind I always drift to the left or right when I'm at the middle marker. WHen I'm out far, I'm on the glidescope (horizontally) and I have the horizontal needle centered, but when I get to the middle marker, it moves away from t…

Hello All,If anybody's interested, have a look at this new website called Flight Sim CFI. It's a redesigned version of a site I created awhile ago. We provide a source for training for beginners through advanced flight simmers. Right now, the jet training course is available, complete with online instruction available. The site's at http://www.takeoff.to/flightsimcfi/. Anybody who can take a look, please either post here or send me an email from the site and let me know what you think: positive or negative comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks,MarcMarc Gibsonhttp://www.takeoff.to/flightsimcfi/http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

Hey there, does anyone know where I can find up to date, NATS for going east and westbound across the atlantic, and any other oceanic tracks? Thanks, Paul Meyer - Morris, C09http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...7b45404593a.jpg

I see that the CSI forum is gone and am not too surprised. I think if you produce freeware or payware these days for FS you have to have a pretty thick skin. That's not to excuse the punks who demand release every five minutes, you just have to take them for what they are worth. So don't let it get to you CSI. Otherwise they will win. And that would be tragic for all of us.Todd

hi All,for those who are interested and wanna have a look, (hope i don't get slammed for this) www.flightsim.com now has a dedicated FSCOF forum with some screen shots posted by one of the beta testers. he's running a P4 3ghz with a Radeon 9800(128mb version). "Warning"...if you look at ALL of the screen shots and own a p4 3gig machine you may be a little dissapointed as i was when you see the fps in a few of the shots. happy flyin, fm

Anyone who's been following the political debacle and general faux-pas that was behind the Meigs Field closing last month might be interested in the current GEAR UP column by Dick Carl in this month's issue of Flying Magazine. IMHO, he's spot on. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/c-130-ani.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD

Attempting to create a short flight from Int'l. Falls, MN to Dryden Regional, Dryden Ontario, I ran into the following problems.Starting at I.F airport places you in the Mississippi River or some other large body of water.ATC will vector me right to Dryden Reg., unfortunately, the location specified is a large stand of TREES!Is there something that I can do on my end to edit files so that the problems I've listed are removed from FS 2002 Professional??Any suggestions, tips or errata would be most welcomed!

If somebody has answered this than I overlooked it anyway, will there be small chatter at the uncontrolled fields? Like planes reporting each position of the pattern?

I'm just wondering which of the shareware/payware weather generating programs available here and elsewhere on the Internet most people are using for MSFS 2002 Professional.I've downloaded several programs here, and thought it might be a good idea to ask this question prior to installing anything that I've downloaded from this site so far.Comments about which weather generating programs your using and why would be greatly appreciated. Please indicate in your response whether the application is shareware or payware and your likes and dislikes about the application you use and why you've decided to enhance the EXISTING weather controls within FS 2002 Professional.PLEASE NOT…

Hey All,Keeping in the Avsim tradition of bringing relevant real world news to our simming brothers and sisters, it looks like the NOAA has updated their Internet site. The METAR Data Access page still has the Cycle files and the ICAO search function available and there seems to be some additional links on the left hand menu bar to radar imagery, International weather conditions and their Weather Charts o n the NET service. For those of you who have never visited the site, it's a great pre-flight planning tool. Here's the LINK to check it out. For those, like myself who use this service pretty much on a daily basis :-), the update looks good!Have fun and, let's stay safe o…

I just bought a Dell P4 2.6gig 800mhz bus, ATI 9700pro video card (Should have got this thing with WindowsXP Pro instead of Home, doesn't seem to be too much of a difference even though I can't set permissions anymore). FS runs great on this machine but still stutters from time to time. I was wondering what machine most of you simmers are using these days (What's the standard box that most of you guys have. It seems to be around 2ghz and above)??? Will you guys upgrade as I have for FS2004 or keep what you've got???Just wondering...

Who around here uses PDA devices? Palm or Pocket PC? Do you use them for just personal/business or for your simming as well?As for me, I have a Palm Vx (wonderful piece of equipment, indespensable.) I am using it currently for personal use, although I am trying to find some programs that will help me out with my simming. Any suggestions? :DReally interested to 'hear' the replies :)EDIT: Fixed a smiley error changing my Palm Vx into Palm Vx( ;-)

In another thread , people have stated that any FS2002 VC will be "clickable" in FS2004 - because FS2004 makes any gauge included in a FS2002 VC able to be clicked as it is in the 2D cockpit. But the problem is that, "mostly", we click on SWITCHES - not gauges. (although I know that a switch is a gauge in Fsim) - And how many VCs have cockpits with switches in them??BarryBazza in Brisbane
