i download quite a bit. i dont know what i did but FS2002pro loads the aircraft directly in VC mode. this causes probloms with some aircrafts and panels. when i try to load tham FS crashes. how do i revert to the old position when FS would load the aircraft in 2d cockpit view.also my default airfield has changed from Meigs to whichever location i loaded last. how do i make my default Meigs again.

I'm trying out the new active camera2002 and some how the spot view arent' functioning properly, I lost my 4 6 7 8 9 numeric keys therefor I can't control my view in spot mode. All I can use is 1 and 3 key to view the back of my plane, and it would be nice if I could see the front of my aircrafts too. In another thread suggested to disable the gradual transition, I did that but problem remain. And can you please point me to the user document for this program, cause I can't find an instruction that comes with this program. BTW, I already remove the previous version already.

Would the inside door textures made for the FFX 737-300 work on the FFX 737-200?

I read in another forum that the general rule of thumb for locking FPS is if FPS float most often around 31-33, lock FPS at 30. Now with my framerates on the ground they are usually in the mid to high teens (lower at crowed airports) and when I'm at cruise altitude my framerates are usually in the 20's. What should the framerates be locked at?

I'm putting together a several-part video in FS. It's a flight from Fresno, CA. to Bishop, CA. in the Zenith 801. I don't have an internet hookup for my home machine, but I would like to install the latest version of DirectX. I'm hoping the newest version will help improve the performance of my sim. From what I can tell Microsoft hasn't made the full download available, but instead the installation has to take place via web connection. Is there a way to download the full executable version that I could then copy and transfer to my home machine?

I have a ton of AI traffic installed in fs2002 and I want to view it from the tower taking off and landing. Is there anyway to control the tower camera so it doesn't have to center on my plane...obstructing the view of the AI traffic?Thanks

First, thanks for making this fine add-on available. I'm certain it reflects much hard work.My approach view location is too far from the airplane. I have longitudinal distance set at - (minus)10000 feet and have gotten closer. Does this sound right?

I was wondering where i could find some good scenery for kansas city international airport for fs2002 or if anyone would be willing to do the scenery for airport as it looks like in real life, but not with to much complexity.

Sirs-What's the texture cache? Under World/scenery Library I can select a value. I have 512mb of RAM and I don't know what value to set. Also, under Vatsim with programs running in the background XP sometimes completely crashes to a bluescreen.Any advice?Paul

I don't have the resources or talent to create this, but it would be a great addon to add a sound effect that would simulate turbulance. Here is the deal, when you have turbulance selected in the weather parameters the plane bounces up and down and moves side to side, but there is now sound to go with it. I have been in a lot of turbulance in my time and the plane creaks and shutters. Of course depending on how rough it is. Anyway, just a thought for those talented FS individuals maybe to look into.

Great post recently regarding using AFCAD to "close" / "open" runways to force ATC to use alternative runways. My follow-up question, with intersecting runways - most at regional or smaller fields, does FS ATC recognize traffic on "all" runways, to avoid collisions at the "cross-roads"... ? Only have made a few flights after setting AFCAD the way I want - but I have not heard Tower or Ground advise of crossing traffic - or hold for traffic. Guess that means ATC doesn't recognize the potential conflict......Ron

Not to poke fun of the nice articles written by AVSIM about FS2002, I really do like FS2002, but I thought it might be interesting to start a thread about the minor annoyances of FS2002. Like any large scale software application there are bound to be some errors, glitches, etc. that drive you crazy. Hi All,I think this can be done, but I am not sure how. I had to reload WinXP Pro this weekend. FS starts and runs fine, but some of my commercial addons dont. I have to reinstall them but they cant find the FS directory. Is there a way to add to the registry where FS is without having to reinstall FS?Mark

Hi all,Just installed the new Madrid airport from the library and found several "white" structures (missing textures). The attached screenshot will illustrate this. I installed Airport 2.6 and VOD 3.0 textures but still no joy. Also, the parling area red zebra stripes are continually flickering (like they are just below the ground).Anyone else with these probs?Cheers,Glenn
