When you are in 2D cockpit view, you can use <+> and <-> to zoom the view in and out. You can also use + and + to move your point of view up and down.Is there a way to 'save' what these are set to? If I set the 2D cockpit view to 0.5 zoom, change the view to something else (eg. spot plane) and go back to 2D cockpit again, it's back to 1.0 zoom!Thanks in advance.

Tom:I have one question for you about the wonderful Convair panel at HJG for the turboprop Convair. In the note from the Convair pilot, it notes that this plane is somewhat unique in that there is no prop control. The plane has a controller that keeps the blades spinning at a standard RPM that automatically adjusts pitch when power (i.e. Jet A in the combustion chamber) is added or pulled back. So, why is it in the start-up notes the pilot says set the props to "fine" using the MSFS keyboard controls, if in fact, there is no prop control in the cockpit? Further, I've noticed that adjusting the prop with keyboard commands does significantly alter the engines' performance …

I previously posted that a number of my files had disappeared from the Avsim library; that post has since been removed, it appears (I may be wrong, but I can't find it) so perhaps this one is not long for the course either.The bottom line is that 18 (?) of my co-authored files with Mikko Maliniemi, Kari Virtanen and others have been removed at Mikko's sole request. This is part of a general instruction by Mikko to remove ALL his work from Avsim. Hi all,Can someone answer a quick question on IRS alignment on the A340? When you push the 'ALIGN IRS' promt on the CDU, does this start the 10 min align process of the IRS or does it simply send the coordinates from the CDU to the IRS which are already aligned? I ask because I always thought that when you moved the switch from OFF to NAV on the ADIRS panel, the 10 min align process started and then 3 min before pushback, the 'ALIGN IRS' promt was pushed on the CDU to send the coordiantes form the CDU to the IRS. So how exactly is the IRS aligned?Cheersrichard

Can anyone comment on "how dark it is" during night flights in FS2004? I hope that was fixed and you don't have to change the brightness or the Gamma settings as you do in FS 2002.
