I would like to interest someone with scenery designing skills to design this airport for the upcoming FS2004. For those of you living outside Los Angeles this might not necessarily interest you. However, maybe it might since this was a great little airport in the golden days of early aviation. I'm talking about the Grand Central Air Terminal in Glendale, California. Please take a look at this website for further information on this great terminal that was owned and operated by Curtiss-Wright. Hopefully, someone with experience in building scenery for Flight Simulator will take up the challenge.Regards,Gianlucahttp://www.godickson.com/gca1.htm

  2. Hi all,I've just downloaded and installed the Flight Time calculator by Franck Krieger. It doesn't work! I launch F2002, double-click the icon and ... absolutely nothing. Normally I'd write to the author but he hasn't included any contact details. Has anyone else had problems with this program? I'm running on XP Home. There's no attached readme or any installation instructions of any kind. Without wishing to point any fingers at AvSim shouldn't there be some sort of check that any uploads contains a readme or some form of installation instructions? Thanks.

I pre-ordered my FS2004 from Avsim (Vmax) store the other day for $59.95, thinking I'd be getting a good deal, one of the first copies, and I could support Avsim at the same time. Now I see it's $44.99 at Amazon.com, who wouldn't know one end of a Cessna from the other, as far as I know. So I'm certainly supporting Avsim, it would seem. Interestingly, Amazon give a firm shipping date of July 29. They also sell FS2002 for five bucks MORE so maybe they know something we don't, LOL.Why the big differential? What's it to be in the retail stores, anyone?Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Hi there,In the attached image, you can see that the runway markings (taxi way lines, distance runway lights.. etc ) are very "jaggy". I've noticed from the air, looking down on a runway it looks very jaggy as well. Only recently have I noticed this. I

Hi,I am new to using FSUIPC. I downloaded it to fix the centering problems in my USB rudder pedals. It works flawlessly. I am trying to see how the visibility settings in FSUIPC work in conjuction with the visibility setting in FS2002. What are the rules for one setting overriding the other? e.g. If FSUIPC is set lower vis. than FS2002, the FSUIPC setting is used, if FS2002 is set for lower vis. than FSUIPC, the FS2002 setting is used, etc. I can't seem to correlate the two settings.Any help would be appreciated. Also, how are the winds correlated between the two? Thanks,Michael

I've had MS Combat Flight Sim 3 installed a while now, and I did a LOT of work remapping the keys to optimize the game for my situation & preference. I also noticed that there is an option in CFS3 to load configs from FS2002.So now that I have installed FS2002, I was expecting to import the relevant key mappings over from CFS3. (Obviously, I"m assuming that the FS2002 key remap list would be much smaller, since CFS3 has all those combat and targetting related commmands -- but I had assumed FS2002 would still import CFS3.xca and just omit the irrelevant commands.)But I"m looking thru the FS2002 menus and I don't see any options to import the CFS3 config..Anyone know ho…

jerrycwo41.Could anyone tell me how to disable the "RED" OVERSPEED warning in FS2002 for a aircraft, or at least raise the speed to where it will not flash the "overspeed" warning ?2. I always change the "size" of the aircraft in the "VIEW" at the top of the Fs2002 screen to a size that I like. Where can I change the size where my size will be the "default" size ?Thanks, jerry

I plan to buy UT but have one question first. Is it possoble to costumize UT in a way, that airlines use the correct terminals, they also use in real life? I have seen many, many screenshots of UT, where airlines are parked at terminals, which they definitely do not use in the real world.(Mods, sorry if this is the wroing forum to ask.)Wolfgang

Hello fellow simmers !I'm new on these forums but something has occured to my MSFS.Every time I start a flight with a large aircraft on the ground, streaks seem to touch my aircraft, the light switches from night to day and back again a few times and then the aircraft just keels over backwards and crashes. I even saw a shooting star crossing the heavens. If I start with the aircraft in the air MSFS just crashes the computer and I have to reset it.HAs anybody come across this before ? Is it some sort of joke somebody has inserted in an uploaded file. Please help so I can get back to flying soon ?Thanks.Twinastir.

Now that FS2004 has gone gold, is there any chance that AVSIM can get hold of a "gold" copy to do a preview? We sure are itching to know more about this product. AVSIM had a full preview of FS2002 months before its release. Why are we not getting one with FS2004?Robb

I'm not the first one to say this, but my hat is off to Kotaro Akikawa for his marvelous B-52H design for FS2002. Behind this work of art is a huge amount of technical data and, not surprisingly, a few problem areas. Needless to say, beta testing doesn't always catch all of the problems.During the past year, I've read about (and experienced) the "Bouncing BUFF" problem in FS2002. For me, it occurs on the ground at partial fuel loads of about 60% or less. During the landing roll or the start of takeoff, the tail of the B-52 will bounce high in the air, over and over, with the aircraft often ending crosswise with the runway with its nose on the ground and the fuselage i…

  23. I tried to hunt this down in the forum. Seems like I had seem the same exact problem before...Have CH Yoke and has been working just fine until?????To make a short story shorter, my CH yoke likes to go full left aileron deflection without inputs. I can fire up MSFS2002 Pro and not touch a thing and watch after a few moments the ailerons go to full left deflection. They will stay like that until I input, then a few moments later the same thing. If I am flying the same situation happens even if I am holding the plane level! I can sit on the ground and hold full right deflection and after a while it will STILL go left deflection!Makes for a rather "upsetting" flight. My setti…

Get it in the library, harvey2k2.zipIf you fly the northwest US and GA aircraft this is a must-have. Harvey is just 48 miles NE from EmmaBob says it best from the read-me file;"Probably my favorite airport in the world, Harvey Field is a wonderful bubble of activity. Along with a lot of GA activity, there is a skydiving school located just west of the main fuel area, and a ballooning company nearby. Family owned for generations, the property became an airport in the 40s. Prior to that, the land was farmed, and the barn and some farm outbuildings remain standing today. The grey house near the south end of the airport is the original homestead. The Harvey's still own a…
