Has anyone else had a problem with realtime weather turning to fog (from a clear day) about 5 miles from departure? Everytime I load realtime weather thats what happpens. I fly out of KSBN; havent tried any other airports yet.

This question is for anyone who is using Tracker IR with Flight Simulator, specifically FS2004. I understand that this device allows you to pan right, left, up and down. But does it work also for forward and backward head movements (i.e. getting close or farther away from the VC panel). Thanks.Gianluca

Hi all, Im picking up my copy of FS9 tomorrow but have a quick question for those of you who are lucky enough to already have it. One thing that alway bugged me about past versions of FS was the way you could get into a light aircraft trim it and it would fly straight and level and not move (obviously unaffected by turbulence?), unlike a real plane. I always thought they got it right in FU3 and X-Plane.Thanks in advanceTenaciousD

Has anybody noticed when either of these programs updates the weather you panel will flash a few times sort of like a strobe effect.Its not a showstopper just annoying. I'm using a TI4400 with latest 43.67 drivers.Sean

Just a caution when loading 3rd party aircraft.I tried loading a Stearman Keydet into FS-9 and recieved a message that some features may not work. I clicked proceed anyway.After clicking the "Fly Now" button the gauges did not show. All the other views displayed okay, even though the prop wasn't turning with the engine running.The point I want to make is that I immediately closed the sim and deleted the folder with the new aircraft since it didn't work anyway.When I started back up the program was looking for a paint texture from the Stearman and would crash back to the desktop.The problem was that the Stearman was still stored as a "previous flight".To correct the prob…

Just wanted to let everyone know that Southwest and Speedbird works now in COF. I just copied the fs2002 call sign list to COF and added some and works great, wonder what other call signs were added from previous?ADAM

I need a config setting that will shut down the sim after a certain set time.I am not getting any sleep with COF. I keep starting "just one more flight".I gotta put this thing down and get some rest.

I just wanted to start a brief post stating what I have observed with this software.1) 3D Clouds can and do kill your FPS. Anything less than the machine I have, and your FPS will be completely unacceptable, at least to me. In fact, even on my machine(not the greatest I know), I am considering turning off 3D clouds all together, if I can.2) 3D Mesh affects FPS very little. The difference between my 100% mesh settings and 50% was only 1-3 FPS even in places like Alaska where the mesh is pretty dense.3) Water. Good 'ole h20. I wonder what M$ was thinking with this. I dragged my FS2002 aircraft folder for the SF.260 and copied it into the aircraft folder for FS2004. Everything works great except I have no gauges. They are completely black with no readouts....Anybody know what I did wrong?? or what I should have done right!!Regards,jack

Well, I picked up Century of flight yesterday PM and have about 2 hours stick time so far. Here are my thoughts.Framerates are fantastic. I will absolutely back up everyone that says FPS are the same, if not better than 2K2 even with more details. I have mine set at 25 with almost *everything* on full (except clouds, which I think I have at 50% - I can't say for sure as I am at work, going from memory) but everything else is either maxed or close to it... visibility, cloud distance, yadda, scenery complexity, yadda.. When I click the "Start" button, it displays the message "Try to connect to server #1..." and nothing happens. Not a single blue square appears in the progress stripat the bottom. Hello,I heard that disabling AGP texture acceleration within DirectX eliminates the "flashing" all of us with ATI 9700 / 9800 cards experience during menu changes, etc. (as well as improve FPS a bit).Could someone tell me just how this is done? Not sure if anyone else has seen this yet but I thought it was great! There is a small historical air museum in Central Florida called Fantasy of Flight off of I4 right past Lakeland on your way to Disney. Anyway on a flight today in FS9 I thought I'd see if it was there and sure enough it is! Even with the crashed DC-3 sitting by the freeway. Check it out if you have a chance... I'm not sure how to upload images or I would have.Just take off out of Tampa Intl. and fly East. You should be able to follow I4 all the way past Vandeberg then Plant City Airport and then Lakeland. I have just been trying the MSFS 2002 tutorial on Air traffic control. I cant understand a word the instructor says. Something about hit this key {i canyt make out which one} to display air traffic control?Can anybody tell me how to get take off permission etc. I am new to the game so it will need to be detailed though.....

Hi all,Can anyone tell me if there are any freeware tools available that will allow one to ADD an ILS (freq.,hd,glide path etc.) to an existing runway in FS2K2?Obviously FS Scenery and Airport for Windows (all versions as far as I can see.....)
