Hi all. Perhaps I was dreaming a few months ago, but I thought there was going to be a WX display in the new GPS? Was I dreaming? No complaints though...these sunsets and sunrises have left me speechless.Thanks!M

I, and several of us from the Chicago area, will be in Osh Kosh on Saturday August 2nd.As in past years, we will all try to meet at the Microsoft booth, which is usually at the entrance to one of the main display buildings, at 10:00 AM.It would be nice to put a face to many of the names we see every day.

Hi!This regards use for FS 2002/2004.I asked opinions on the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO before, but receivedcontradictory judgements.Some said it is very good, others stated that the image qualityis blurry and shaky at times.I am seriously interested in upgrading from my GF 4200 Ti 64 MBto a better card, but I get confused.Maybe the GF 4600 is a better card?My setup: 2.53 gHx P4 1 gig RAM.Grateful for serious remarks and advice.My aim is better framerates and better image quality.Thanks!Hans HermanssonSWEDEN

I just upgraded to the gMax version of the FSD Cheyenne 400 LS.For some reason I can't get the pressurization quite right...The Cabin Altitude guage continues to climb, even though I have the level selected to Pressure. I have done all the system tests prior to take off.I can't print the pressurization check list because my laser printer doesn't support color and the print is too light (Darn PDFs).I have read through the pressurization check list and document, but I still am a little confused. What is the significance of the Cabin Altitude, Cabin Rate adjustments, and its impact on the Cabin Altitude Gauge.The Cabin Altitude Gauge on the extream right keeps climbing to …

How is it that when one downloads real time wx in fs2004 the visability is generally 50 miles, I checked airports that were wx inundated and fs2004 says were have a 50 mi view.Nick

hii use german airports 1 and PSS Aibus A320. when i get to my parking position in munich (EDDM) and insert the correct frequency for an A320 (to set up the parking guidance system), the passenger bridge is way to far behind the door after "stop". it IS right on the fuselage of the plane, but somewhere between the forward door and the wing emergency exit. is there a way to adjust the "finger", so that it hits the passenger door?thanx, stu

Hi,something really strange happens to my FS9 setup:I have some kind of home cockpit that's essentially build around two USB controllers. One gamepad (buttons) and one joystick (buttons and 3 axis). I use the axis for trim and flaps. In FS2002 it works great, but in trying to set it up for FS9 i find that none of the axis are recognised. The buttons on the device (a sidewinder) work though. Everything is OK in control panel and recalibrated over and over, and in Fs2k2 it still works fine too.I can assign the axis to the desired function in FS9 but just nothing happens. Also in FSUIPC the axis doesn't show (no value changes when i move it).I also tried changing functions. …

Woohoo! Got mine this morning, all set up nicely, as per usual learning all the new in and outs of the new sim. Running very nicely now.One thing I've noticed is the smears of the rain drops on the glass of the VC of adon planes do not show, they are only visible on the default planes. I was wondering if everybody just moved their sounds, gauges and aircraft over to fs9, then just deleted fs2002, I would rather move most of my aircraft over to fs9 then delete fs2002. Is that the right thing to do?

I've been suffering from some really bad stutters in FS2004. I was looking through archived posts, and I ran across some recommendations to reduce the AGP Aperature settings in bios and to disable AGP Texture acceleration in the dxconfig utility.For some insane reason, my AGP Aperature in bios was set to 256MB. I reduced it to 32MB, and disabled texture acceleration.FS2004 is now virtually stutter free for me. This was driving me INSANE, and it's a great relief to have found a solution.There are several posts in the archives that describe the specifics.A caveat, however. Having been really pleased with the sim myself, I got a copy for my Dad. Unfortunately, he is having problems and I am hopoing you guys can help me help him out.After a fresh install (no addons, cracks, or anything else) the sim boots up fine. He is using all the default settings. He starts a flight from Seatac in the default Cessna from the end of the runway. Everything looks fine and he takes off normally. Approximately 3-4 minutes into the flight the joystick and keyboard go dead (sound continues), followed by total crash to desktop 4-5 seconds later. THe error message indicates a fatal error in FS9.exe (I can get the total error report form him if you need it). …

The subject says it all.I have to click on the icon in the program file to get the sim to boot up...also, has anyone noticed a cartoonish sort of light gray line edging some of the clouds. I have an nvidia T14200 card with the 44.03 driver set...any ideas, great thoughts, advice, etc?thanks!Sherm

Hi guys,I have an ATI 9700 Pro and have yet been unable to undock windows and make it stay on my 3rd monitor which is rotated 270 degrees.As I was hoping this can be done with a Nvidia card (Nvidia has excellent multi mobitor support while ATI seems to find this feature less important, e.g. rotation in the CP is on and off) I bought a FX 5900 Ultra. After having played around with it I will return it and change it for a 9800 Pro.The card is a yoke IMHO. It does not outperform the Radeon 9700 Pro except in 3DMark 2K3. I have the same score in 3DMark 2K2 with the 9700p. But then again I did not really expect it to and had not cared about performance gains as I only wanted t…

Has anyone out there with a GForce fx 5600 or equivalent been able to get 2d panels without having to resort to windowed mode?I have read the posts,tried the work arounds except downloading the leaked driver. There were mixed comments about the effectiveness of the GURU3D 44.67 or higher drivers. 44.67 is not available on the Nvidia site yet.If anyone has found the secret please let me know.
