I've been flying windowed mode because of the ati bug, but switched back to full screen for a while and noticed a huge difference in quality of textures (better) and hardly any flickering. I'm using the ati 9800 pro. Does this make sense? I thought the quality was the same for both...billg

Help me! Please!! I have done the dumbest thing in the world! I was installing a new panel (am still trying to find a 737 panel in FS9 that I like) when I accidentally deleted the default 747 panel.cfg!!! And, after deleting a 737 panel I didn't like/That didn't work, I emptied the recycle bin, to only then realise I had to restore the panel.cfg first!! To make a long story short, I need the panel.cfg for the default 747. If someone can tell me how to extract it from one of the disks (and which one it is on) or even easier if someone can post it on here, that would be great!!Justin

I have the crj using the 2004 version of the lear45 panel. Made a few changes to the panel cfg so as the VC gauges would look okay. It's a wonderful aircraft in 2004.However I am finding that it idles a little fast. I don't really find this a problem when taxing but it does make it a bit more difficult to land.IS there a way to solve this in 2004 ?SteveCYYZ

I just watched the Goodyear Blimp fly over my house while it was in town to do a promo for a local tire store by taking up some residents on tours. (It was done by a drawing and as expected I didn't win a spot). It got me to thinking about a blimp addon for FS. I think it would be a nice addition if it were done to the detail and quality of some of the addon aircraft (Dreamfleet, FSD, Flight1, etc.) that we have today. We could have different liveries such as Budweiser, Goodyear, Blockbuster, Fuji, Met Life, etc. as well as different blimp manufacturers (which I know nothing about.) I have been using a CH Yoke and pedals for a while and all is well for the most part. As others have reported the yoke (particularly in terms of pitch) gets very sticky. I did use graphite powder to do my best to lubricate it, but the real problem seems to be a dead spot in the springs. Has anyone opened up one of these units to see if its possible to replace the springs?

Got new computer. Installed FS2K2 with old files. No AI. Uninstalled FS, reinstalled with no files added. Set AI percentage at 100%. No AI at KORD. Checked files, have default.dp and .cdp, and traffic.bgl. I'm at my wits end as to why no AI. Can anyone let me know what I may be missing? Thanks.

Hi: Does anyone know of a fix that will allow the propeller to be displayed on add on aircraft in FS2004. I'm using the Carenado V35 aircraft and everything works well except the prop doesn't show up in any views. I wrote Carenado and they said they might get around to fixing it eventually. He can't be swallowing that thing every time".That's the way I feel when trying to perform a simple, basic keyboard command in FS 2004.That is; opening doors and hatches on FS aircraft.I can do it with ease if there is only one door. For those who want this capability you can create a couple of batch files to rename the file. I use the .xml file when I'm not flying into places like KORD in weather :(). Otherwise it is renamed to default.bak.For the uninitiated, simply right-click the desktop, create a new TEXT file and put the following into it and save:D:CD Flight~2 CD Autogenren default.xml default.bakMake another one to revert back:D:CD Flight~2 CD Autogenren default.bak default.xmlFYI: 1. Hi folks,Does anyone know of a good 757 or 767 (pay or free) that has a VC which works in FS9 yet? I REALLY like the various freeware 767 models but partially because of the framerate issue with 2D panels I am addicted to flying with VCs...Anyone know of one? Create a saved scenareo file from one of the regions that are under the new Hurican Isabel.But do this in Flight Simulator 2004 after you use the "Real Life Weather" setting to get the actual real life weather for that place.I would do this my self But I will not be able to use the computer in the next fiew days so hence I wont be able to get the "Reall world Weather" weather update for a city that is under the huricane.

i used to have a freeware prg under fs2000 called something like bsatc or so. It generated random atc chatter during yr flight. Is there anything similar or does it stil exist. help appreciatederic

Yep, upgrading after 4! (four) years with a trusty p3 450 mhz 32 mb vid. (I saw the end of fs98 on it, hated fs7, unable fs8)I'm keeping the hdd which is still up and running at 7200 rpm and also the cdrom still speedy enough. No need for a new monitor; the 22" IIyama visionmaster still does the job.And now in the same old case a brand new asus a7v8x-x mobo holding an amd 2.6 cpu with a HUGHE heatsink/fan...512mb ddr to start with...and an asus v9520 mt fx5200 128mb agp.To manage all this power a new power supply 350w (was 250). All this set me back just 387 euro, fs9 not included :-) Not bad if I may say so..

Why does ATC take control of my plane 60 - 70 miles away from my destination and insist on vectoring on a zig-zag path all the way to the airport?Vector changes are usually between 60 and 90 degrees.I would expect ATC to spend a lot less time with me than almost constant vectoring for 70 nm to the destination.

Hi all as someone who has yet to purchase FS9 i have been reading quite a few posts regarding the flight modelling in Fs9 in that in some peoples opinions it seems to be worse than previous versions. I guess what i want to know is how is it worse and will the average simmer notice the differences??

Hi,Have a P4 3 gig machine, and using the default cloud setting, the distant clouds are thin rectangles. Also, at times a close puffy cloud will have one end cut off. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?Thanks.Bob I

Hey. This has probably been asked before, and if it hasn't, it's just me - I'm a bit slow. :( When flying on an aircraft with wings inserted in the VC view. What is the best way to set up a view of looking out over the wings when you hit 4 or 6 in the VC. I tried using Active Camera 1.3 in FS2k4, but it just killed the sim. I currently have a MSFF2 but I find that I do not have enough controls and I'm always going to the keyboard and I really do not like that. I'm looking at buying a Saitek X-45.What I want to know is where or can I get JUST the HOTAS?Also is the flight stick any good?
