Hi all, hope your all well,I enjoy flying FS2004 IFR with ATC, but sometimes its a little annoying. When im flying in say the PSS A330 / or the PMDG 737NG (both wondrfull planes) I would really like to fly the plan I have created, in FSBuild, but ATC will vector me away from it when im near the airport, which is no problem. The problem is, if I dont follow ATC the flight is cancelled, and then I cant seem to contact the Destination airport via the radios to find out the active landing runway, and to tell them of my intentions to land untill Im like 20 miles out, and its too late to change the runway if I have choosen the wrong one. I use FSNAV but it gives me so many diff…

I use the stock 2004 real weather.It has always been fairly reliable and close to the real thing.The last 2 days I have noticed I get the same real world weather for CYVR all the time.069@10 light clouds. Well the weather has been overcast and raining and for most of the day the ATIS was 170/180@9 to 12knots. Tried reinstalling FS but still get 069@10 Light clouds all the time. Has anyone noticed if there is a problem with the Jep Metars.ThanksChris

Hi All,The long wait is over for the latest Radeon drivers and with the release will come issues associated with installing new drivers. I am currently flying a American 757 as 1876 from KLAX-KORD and I am using my gps, but I am having some trouble figuring out when I will get into chicago. With the route menu I scroll down the list but my eta doesn't change. It only changes between the segment I fly on. It just can't tell me when I will get to the following waypoints. Now before I thought I could do that but for some reason or another my time change wouldn't take place. So I am wondering if my Fs2004 is corrupted or something has changed in my system. The GPS doesn't seem to work as I thought it did. The instructions also only takes in account one segment or direct entry to the airport and not multi…

I try to be nice around here but a file uploaded today to Avsim has really got my goat. That is, a rather badly done replacement left-hand seat pilot for the defaut DC-3, by Peter Mess. To change the pilot to a white man because he is black by default is one thing - no harm in that if that is one's preference, we're all on this planet - but to put in the README that "I was told that the other guy is probably Bin Laden hemself" (sic) is nothing short of disgusting. With all the meshes available, both free and payware, No one has released any revised shore lines for lakes or Oceans that I know of. I am not a scenery editor and don't know much about it, but am just curious as to what is it about MSFS that seems to make it so difficult to get accuarate shore lines. All Meshes have deep cliffs and cuts along water. What would it take for a vendor to use satellite data to do revise this. Any thoughts?

I am trying to get MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 to provide any kind of a feedback in FS9. The FF2 worked fine in FS 2002...but in spite of all efforts I cannot get it to work in FS9. My operating system is W2000, I am running a Pentium 1.4 with 512Mb RAM and a 60 MB hard disk.Everything checks out OK. Before starting FS9, the Control Panel > Gaming Options > Controllers > Properties > Forces let me test the different buttons and they all work (shake) just fine. I have some static taildragger aircraft from fs98 that has the tail up in the air as if flying. I cannot for the life of me remember how to get that back down again. Any ideas? Thanks for any help folks.

I got my floatplane problem solved in FS9 (just needed crash detection on for some reason, despite good landings). Thanks to those who helped.Now my problem is with the Mooney. Ever since I installed FS9, the Mooney has this big problem of flying to the right. I can turn on or off the realism setting for prop planes, I can adjust my rudder or ailerons like crazy, and I can fuss with the Mooney like mad, but it always flies to the right. I can fly it, however, I have to constantly fight the plane to stay straight! My other default planes all function perfectly, and my FPS is around 30 give or take 10. It's like the Mooney has a bad file or something, but I hate to go…

I'm looking for a particular panel that someone came out with not too long ago. Hi All,Downloaded and installed the latest and greatest from ATI and while the image quality is better that the 3.7's there is still the lingering issue of the screen flickers when accessing the menu bar in full screen mode. On a good note, I have not been able to reproduce the smeared text issue when opening the knee pad (F10)Next step is to wait for the updated Rage3D twekaer so I can see what additional improvements we can make but the drivers out of the box impressed my (image quality wise).Your milage may vary!!Have fun!Mikehttp://www.members.shaw.ca/madamo/boeingsig.jpg

The good news is that they are available. The bad news is that the problems are still there. I just tried them and I'm going back to the 3.6's as I think the Alt-Enter issue is actually worse now.Doug

hi all...just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing something here. I can easily see how to "search" for an airport in the database, however i cant seem to find an easy way to pull up a waypoint (short of just looking for it visually on the map) so i can quickly add it to my plan.Does anyone know if a "search" function exists...or if one is planned for a near future release?Thanks!Dave

I either speed up too much and drive off the taxiway or I crawl round way too slow and turn way too tightly! Either way isn't very realistic! What's a good speed and how do I hold it? I lost my CD-4 for FS9. Is there a way to use my installed program without the CD-4? I recall that I fixed FS2K2 so it could be used without the CD being inserted.
