Anyone try this in the new sim? Have they 'reworked' the interaction with terrain/wind? Ie, if you are flying down the lee side of a valley, do you get ridge lift?Are there thermals anywhere? FS2k2 seemed to have this only in specific 'hot spots' available through the soaring 'adventures' - I am hoping it is more prevalent in this go around. Would love to try cross country sailing near where I live (Whitehorse)!

Finally, we have something that can reasonably represent the flight of a General Aviation aircraft with confidence. I have absolutely no idea if this, or any other airplane, "flies" in a reasonably simulated manner. I have to rely on the skills of the people who produce them. There always seems to be some doubt arising concerning the flight characteristics of many aircraft. Since the entire experience is an illusion it is difficult to maintain that illusion when you see that your favorite aircraft (for many different reasons) may not be as true to flight as it could be. Hi,When I want to watch the INSTANT REPLAY of the final approach and landing the gear goes up and the flaps are retracted, and the plane lands without undercarrage!!I did not shut down my engine, I go to the replay normally when I'm standing at the gate, still with running engines.Does anyone have a fix for this or a solution for this problem.Any help is appreciated,ChristiaanPS The PSSA330 and PSSA340 behave normally during the instant replay.And with most other planes it works fine too.(Dreamfleet 737 not.....)

FS2002 stops responding whenever I try to load the A/C...when I installed, I got a window which stated:Unable to create output file: Microsoftgames/FS2002/modules/sound.dllI tried removing the sound.dll and reinstalling but still got the above message...tks

Lest anyone misses the new dynamics for the c172.I have never come across anything like it in FS. This is absolutely exceptional work. Try adjusting with the rudder on final....(that's the way it should be).Hat's off to the guy behind the FDE//Mike

Hey!Can anyone tell me, how I can get the VC back in Repaints of the POSKY A330?It seems to loose the VC with every repaint.And when I simply copy the new textures into the original A330 Texture Folder, It will not show the correct textures anyway.Some suggestions for that? :(Regards Thomas

Pretty good review with a few caveats. I'm not sure when he got his copy,there has been a patch released but...the Stagg in its original form flies much to fast for a D17S model. You might see as much as 212-213 kts which isn't correct. I added the strobe lights,there is a switch on the panel but they weren't in the lights section. But..when you do add strobes sometimes you'll get the flying wires flashing off and on at the same rate as the strobes while in flight. Sometimes this happens,sometimes it doesn't.I spent some time and went through the .cfg and got it flying much closer to specs for speed and fuel burn. In addition to having the problems others are having wiht the VC textures(I have the VC download textures and followed the directions in putting the folder in the aircraft's texture directory)I've experienced the nose gear collapsing with simply chnaging the view or extending flaps while parked with the parking brakes on. Even after reducing fuel loads to below maximum this occurs. This is with the "FS2004 version" in ACOF.

My FS9 just loads the textures, then soon after they dissapear, like in the pic below, and then have to reload all over again? I have a feeling i've done something to my FS9.cfg settings? Hi,I wonder if you could help me. Im looking for the Cessna C208 Caravan on wheels for FS2002. I know it comes standard on floats with FS2002 standard. I've seen posts from a number of folks over the last couple of days saying that their menu flickering problem has been solved by installing the Catalyst 3.8 drivers, but nobody who claims it's fixed has posted their system specs.
