Hello,When a complex airport like KMIA enters in my field of view the sim doesn't run so smooth, the FPS goes from 40-50 to 20-30 FPS and I can see some stutter. Sure I can fly, land, etc, but why ?My autogen is OFF and I tried to reduce scenery complexity to sparse but still some stutter when airport is in front of me. I tried to turn AI traffic OFF (0percent) and it helped, but I don't want to reduce everything. My scenery shadows are off, the aircraft shadow is off as well.Any suggestion to improve performance in large airports ? Can be my processor ? Here are my system specs: Athlon XP2400+, Asus A7V333, 1gb RAM Crucial DDR333, ATI 9800pro, running at 1280x1024x32Than…

Hello Gang!Every time I try to load a flight from Victoria, Canada (CYYJ), regardless of the aircraft in use, I get dumped to the desktop. I can, however load only if the time is set to night-time. Any other time, dusk, dawn, or day, will dump me to the desktop. Any ideas anyone? Thanks for any help!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

I am trying to fly the DC10 since a lot of textures and aircraft (SWISSAIR, BA)supposedly ported to FS9 have been downloaded to the AVSIM File library.Problem is, I do not think anything has been done to the model or the aircraft.cfg and the plane (in my case) will not lift up on take off on a runway where B777's and A340's take off every day. What can be tweaked to get this bird off the ground ?On another subject, does anybody know if FFX (E.Cantu et al)have in their plants to upgrade their excellent Planes to FS9.I would appreciate your advise cooperationEdmundo CardenasCaracas, Venezuela ( Now in Decatur Georgia !)[tr][td rowspan=1]Proud pilot of [link:www.flymeridian.…

Hey folks. I've been doing my best to keep up with all the forums. I realize that not all of you can fly this plane I have modelled. I personally can't fly it either on my system . I'll have to wait till next year. I only built this plane for you guys to enjoy it and I'm sorry if your comp can't handle it. The model has 38000 polys which is far less then some other models. The MDL is only 1.6 MB which is very small for a plane of this complexity. I use special secret techniques to keep polys low and detail high hehe. What is killing your frames are the new textures and gauges. Yes this plane has almost 100mb of textures so for each livery you are giving up 100 mb. Mayb…

Unfortunately back again. Everytime I try and open SB Relay 1.2, it freezes. I've went step by step on the site FSPilotGuy.tk to set it up correctly, and still get the same problem. I've looked at the troubleshooting, taken the suggested steps to fix the problem, and still nothing. Does anyone happen to have the same problem, or have a useful solution to it? -Julio

Hello to all;Well here I go, I'm looking at this "Virtual Airlines" in the net. Well, some of them tells you, ok, you go from airport "A" to airport "B" and you must do it in, lets say 1:25. (one hour and 25 minutes) and ascend to FL230. I have no problems with the calculations of the distance vs. time. You need to perform this calculations in order to pick the aircraft that will fly at "X" speed to accommodate this "airline" time schedule for this particular fly. I figure that from 0 to 10,000 at 250kts and your climb rate, then from 10,000 to FL230 at the climb speed and rate of the "X" aircraft, then your cruising speed after reach FL230, then your descent speed and ra…

I have been using my Saitek USB joystick (with throttle and twist rudder) for 2 years now, and wonder what I am missing by not having rudder pedals. I generally keep the autorudder on as I find the twist rudder awkward. I know of some people that have the pedals but don't use them because FS is too sensitive and they cannot get them configured proprerly. The question is how much am I missing ? Is having rudder pedals essential ?Mark.

Hello,Something very strange just started today, not sure what I could have changed to make it occur- seems like it came out of nowhere. In short, when I switch on the "altitude hold" mode on the autopilot of any aircraft in FS2004 the plane no longer goes to and levels off at the requested altitude (set on my GoFlight GF-45). Rather. the plane levels out at whatever altitude its at, then goes into a stable shallow dive. As soon as I switch of altitude hold, control resumes as normal.Has anyone every experienced anything like this? Any ideas? Thanks,Joel

Does anyone have the Mach2 Concode? Unfortunately, the download link for it at their site seems to be broken!

Whenever I fly towards Lake Michigan (and other large bodies of water, I assume), the surface of the water consists of very large blocks of different colors of blue. I suppose this is just scenery waiting to come in to view, focus, etc.Is there anyway to eliminate this look? I have my visual distance set at max.

I just want to clarify that I followed exactly what the A330v2 FAQ Gary Haye's posted. The plane itself is working flawlessly as is the amazing Virtual Cockpit. However when I am in 2D panel view, there are some problems.I made sure to rename the "main.bmp" in the Panel.cfg to "front.bmp" as said in the FAQ. As a result, the panel is fine when I am looking forward. However, when I look down at the pedestal, I see this:http://users.adelphia.net/~nabilb727/panel1.jpgWhen I look towards the left or right, or rear left, or rear right, or rear, the panel textures and the VC textures overalp:http://users.adelphia.net/~nabilb727/panel2.jpghttp://users.adelphia.net/~nabilb727/panel…

I have been looking at the Commander 115 TC at http://www.fsd-international.com/projects/c115_gmax.htmThis is the type of aircraft I like to sim in and it looks great. I currently own the Cessna 152, 310, Piper Archer II from DreamFleet and the Carenado Cessna Centurion II 210M.Using FS9 - I was wondering what folks think right now of the Commander 115 TC from FSD International.

So I find this program called FS2004 BENCHMARK v1.0. Has anyone every used it? I'm following the documentation but either something is missing in it or its quirky.I fire it up, choose the directory where fs9 is loaded.Choose certify the results, and point to an existing directory I made called D:fsbenchsaved. I have tried it as both D:fsbenchsavedresults and D:fsbenchsaved and every time I try to Run the test I get "INVALID FILE NAME"What am I doing wrong? I do have FSUIPC installed and registered. Thanks!

After going through a recent upgrade, I have managed to delete what has been one of my favorite aircraft. It is 2-engine, 2-pilots, but only a single yoke that swings from one side to the other. There was a military version, but for the life of me I cannot remember its designation. I would be very grateful if someone with a good memory can refresh mine!Thanx much, Bob Bob Dethlefsen490th Bomb.Sqdn 341st BGBurma Bridge Busters

Hello Gang!I am not very familiar with the A-330 systems, so I seek your quick help here. Some aircraft, like for example, the Boeing 747 and 777 among many other, have spoiler assisted turns, which means, that when the ailerons are activated to turn the aircraft, the spoilers deploy a certain amount, to assist the ailerons with the turn.On the new Posky A-330 V2, I've noticed that the spoilers do not deploy to assist the airlerons. Is this normal for the A-330 or was this an slight oversight in the design of this fabulous addon by Posky? Thanks for any info.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

I was wondering what combo you think is better.POSKY A330 with PSS Panel.PSS A330 with PSS Panel.Basically, which visual model do you prefer? And does the POSKY aircraft work correctly with the PSS Panel? As far as weights, flight dynamics, etc...Thanks.

i downloaded the POSKY A330 and the panel from Eric Merciano, the only problem is that the heading selector goes by 10s not 1s, is their anyway to fix this? I have FS9 and i dont feel like spending $20 on FSUIPC, i think thats a little too much considering how you can get the A330 model with a panel that i would assume works perfectly fine for around the same price from PSS.thx in advance.

All short of giving up, what am I doing wrong?I've been feeling guilty lately of only flying high powered planes, so I'm forcing myself to learn and love the Cessna 172 being inspired by the new RealAir version. My problem is I never climb fast enough. After say 4000 feet I can't get that little lawnmower engine to give me even 5% vertical. I play with the mixture and have learned to keep max rpm's, but using WeatherCenter and full realism, all that gusting around and even when it's not so bad I stall alot and have a really hard time keeping the nose up.The ATC is like a broken record telling me to expidite the climb, and if it was real life I'd scream them into submissi…
