I used the flight planner in FS2002 to plan a flight from KTPA to MKJS (Sangster, Jamaica) and the route shown was via Haiti and not over Cuba. Are commercial flights not allowed over Cuba?Airbus

Hello Gang!The Posky CRJ does is not very well behaved in FS2004. While on the ground, the plane feels like a boat - ground handling is pretty bad. In the air, it wants to fly like an F-15 Eagle. I suspect that some air file and .cfg adjustments would have to be made to adapt it to FS2004. Does anyone know if there are any updates available out there for this magnificent aircraft?Thanks in advance!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

I just don't get it... I take off from KAVX with the So Cal coast in site with maybe a smidgen of haze. And about 5 miles from KAVX I hit a fog bank. It happens a majority of the time.My question is:How in the heck do you even attempt to fly VFR? Or do VFR pilots just use the Clear Skies setting?For IFR it doesn't really make a difference, because as long as you can see the runway at decision height, it doesn't matter. But it looks like VFR flying with using FS 2004 weather would be next to impossible.Barry

I installed the base POSKY A330 and the visual model looks great. The VC also looks great. But the 2-D panel has Eric's gauges scattered on a black screen.I've got FSSound.dll installed in MODULES. I'm really tired of hearing that ATI didn't fix this or didn't fix that. At least they've (ATI) done something, Microsoft on the other hand won't even respond to the millions of request from paying customers about patching their product. Is it easier to slam ATI because we did get somewhat of a response from them versus talking to the wall when dealing with Microsoft. I feel people should redirect their frustration toward Microsoft to fix this and the other many issues people are reporting (dancing mountains, performance with autogen, SDK releases, etc.)... This update changes Landclass Assistant in order to support the 257x257 .raw file format, which is more accurate than the 256x256 format previously used by Landclass Assistant. Hi, Just downloaded the F16-hav-v2. A very impressive rendition of the F16. Full marks to all concerned. The condensation effects are about the most realistic I've seen in msfs.Could anyone tell me how to replace the condensation effects in the posky 747s with these affects. Posky are up there with the best with their 747s, but the condensation effects leave a lot to be desired. I've heard people on the forum say it is easy to do this, well, I've tried, but have to admit I'm as dumb as a b----y ox at this sort of thing. I loved that aircraft but its textures bring my system to its knees. I only have an AMD xp1800+ with a GF2 ti (64 mb) and 512 mb of ram...What I did was to use the MS imagetool to compress them to DXT3. That reduced the total amount of memory usage from 93 mb to 27 mb. Hi, I saw a tutorial on how to do these for airports but can't recall where. Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how do this? I have Simmflyers Chicago scenery and the afcad file has airport packed but the airlines are using one runway to depart and this is causing major backlog of airplanes waiting. I'm trying to figure out whats best to tweak here to improve this scenario. I'm using fsgenesis scenery and am running a P4 3ghz, 1gb ram, 9800 pro 128MB video card w/ 3.8 drivers.I'll be flying and as I look at say mountains, the landscape kind of POPS into place. The shape of mountains POP into shape. I know its just scenery, but heck, I would think with the system I am running on at this time that MSFS2004 would run run nearly perfect.What is this thats happening? Whats it called? Well I'm a bit bummed. I never tried this before I loaded the new ATI 3.8's on my 9800 so I dont know how it was before, but I decided to try and do some heavy cloud flying this evening. WHAT A FPS HIT! I'm talking LOW teens! I'm used to having it locked a 24FPS and it staying pretty much right there. Now I'm thinking this may hinder my ability to go out and do some real weather flying when its overcast out! If I pan my view to where there are no clouds in the view FPS go right back to the 20's.Im running an 800mhz fsb p4 3GHZ PC with a RADEON 9800. I'm wondering if the driver update did something? Hello there...I'm currently in the final stages of finishing my 737 "Next Generation" panel for FS2004 and have a couple of questions pertaining to the realistic function of the Yaw Damper.In my panel's current configuration at ground idle, the panel warning system displays "FLT CONT" with the Yaw Damper in the "off" position... is this correct? How and when does the "FLT CONT" warning display in reality?Pertaining to the Yaw Indicator... I'm assuming that the center section of the indicator moves laterally left and right, and that the two smaller "ticks" above and below the center of the indicator are immovable and are stationary... again is this correct? I am not hearing any ATC Voice at all. I've checked my settings in FS2004 and everything is set right. Also not getting any engine sound in the KingAir. Have done a complete uninstall and reinstall but sam prob. Running a soundblaster Live with winxp pro with latest drivers. Any Ideas?Brad

Obviously turning the autopilot off causes a nice loss of control your pitch trim and very possibly your elevators are a bit off.Is there any way to neutralize these settings right before you disengage the autopilot?

When I'm sitting on the ground in light airplane (in FS2004) during raining conditions I can see very unrealistic circle of rain surrounding my airplane. I looks like a giant umbrella (about 40ft in diameter) was put above my plane - rain droplets aren't falling inside this circle. When I switch to spot view - the "umbrella" is still over my simulated eye (not over aircraft).During flight when droplets aren't falling vertically but rather close to horizontally (because of aircraft motion) I can see a distint circle without rain in front of me.I think that rain animation in FS2004 done by putting rain droplets on the surface of a cyllinder but this look very unrealistic so…

Any chance any programmers out there would be able to allow a hot key to enable/disable a flashlight effect so that when enabled where ever you move your mouse you get a flash light effect? This way at night you could leave your panel lights off and if you wanted to look at a gauge turn it on and move your mouse over the gauge to see it. Could also be able to select a color like red or green so not to cause night blindness.NP

My question was I was wondering if there was any way in FS9 that you can pan in the Virtual Cockpit veiw with the mouse, maybe even zoom with mouse wheel???
