Hello All,Well, finaly I have the new system operating, P4 3.2 oc'd to 3.6, ASUS P4C800 E DELUXE,MB, and my old GeForce Ti4600 card.With everything max'd out, frame rates set at unlimited, and using Capt. Sims 727, (which in panel is a frame hog), I have only seen it drop to 15-16 fps once for just an instant, with the lowest other than that at 29. Sometimes the fps just gets way beyound the century mark and stays there while switching through the windows.Temps:Normal running on the op system, no fs, tems is about 90 F.Heavy usage for more than an hour with FS and FDC I've seen 125F.I have been told that if you keep the CPU below 130, you're doing very good on overclocki…

I'm suffering withdrawl :-8 from DF734 now that I use COF exclusively.I'm in the market for a medium passenger jet complete with interior cockpit views, overhead panel etc. Also, I would like a functional FMC or equivalent. I don't give a rat's a** about vc's.I got PSS A330, which was similar to what I was looking for, but unfortunately I have WinMe and it sometimes does not work with this OS. I intend to use it ofcourse when the fix is finished.So, please make recommendations. I'm not even sure that such a beast exists at this time since COF is so new.Thanks in advance, Adam

Hi:Based on some expert advice given here by an AVSIM forum poster, I was able to lift the Cessna Caravan HSI and put it in the DC-3 panel. Hi All,a very weard problem is that sometimes, especialy when I crashed the plane at ground or in air, the plane just freezes at place, routates and doesnt do any more good. When I push up throttles, the speed indicator shows me that the speed builds up or down when I reduce throttle. But the plane just is like glueded there and the only way to get out of this situation is by re-loading the plane. But than I loose all data of my PMDG or PSS Airbus FMC / MCDU.Does anyone know why that happens, does that happen with you as well and what is to do against that?I wildly guess that it is a MS FS9 bug!!!!

I recently installed FSGenesis landclass update and the complete 5 disk set of terrain mesh for the entire US. (Outstanding stuff!)My problem is this, when flying at let's say 3000' AGL, I experience what appears to be a zig zag line between my position and maybe halfway to the horizon. The length and width of the line varies. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a short section of river. When I climb to higher altitudes, the line sometimes takes on a more straight appearance, and you can see an outline that looks like a partial square. I'm very happy with the performance of FS2004 on my system (able to max sliders and fix frames at 30fps at 1600x1200x32 - system p4 2.8, 1GB, 9800pro).However, going back to FS2002 to run some aircraft, I don't get the same sort of performance. Is this common? I would have expected the older title to perform even better considering the simpler weather etc but no.Under FS2004, if I select the first training flight and view the aircraft from outside at the given settings, my fps doesn't waver below the pegged 30fps. If I unlimit the frames then they rise to about 70 or so.Under FS2002, the same training flight, max settings, fps pegged at a lower 25fps, I get wavering frame…

Can someone point me to a place where to find AFCAD files for the Rio de Janeiro airports SBGL (Galeleo/Jobim Internatl) and SBRJ (Santos Dumont)? Found nothing in the library...Cheers

I am used to flying all the big iron with autopilot to handle descends and routes.I tried flying the 727 or other planes without autopilot and it's too difficult, I got to constantly adjust the speed, heading, altitude and switch radios etc.The aircraft never goes on the same speed, so I got to increase/decrease the throttle all the time, I can't predict when the aircraft will trim to stay stable.Are there any tips/guides for flying without autopilot?

Has anyone managed to get the cabin announcements and switches to call them, working on this panel update.I cannot get the switches on the upper panel (under the seat belt sign) to be seen.It is a superb panel for the default 737 which lets face it needs a better panel.To have the announcements working would just add the icing on to a very nice cake! Is there a file availible that changes the flight dynamics of the FFX 737-800? The current way the flight dynamics are set up, when the plane is at cruise altitude the plane is always in a nose up position and it looks like the plane is still climbing. And because of this I can never see out the front window, I always have to raise the seat to see.

My Flight sim 2002 has a glitch that will not allow me to install any new aircraft, whether from vendors or downloads.I have only installed about 10 A/C so it's not too full.Would it work to re install the FS2002 to pick up any missing pieces to make it work again?? I don't want to uninstall & lose the planes & scenery I have in...What cha think? Thank you Eddie

This data is of no value as mesh when used in the sim. However, it does present an opportunity to illustrate several mesh-related issues. Disclaimer: I e-mailed the developer the day this mesh was uploaded to AVSIM. I pointed out the problems described below and was told that he would have the file removed from the Library.
