Lately, I've noticed that the lightning and wave textures have lost their original textures.When waves wash ashore, they appear as white rectangles flashing. Same thing has happened to the lightning display, white squares/rectangles flashing. it's really ugly!Something must have happened to the original textures after installing so many alternative textures, such as scenery add-ons cloud textures, terrain mesh etc.How do I retrieve the original gorgeous display.Eytan

Is it possible to modify AI planes waypoints,altitudes etc. during flight? With IPC or ABL or any method?

Hi, I have some problems with the sound in FS9, I use Turtle Beach Santa Cruz btw. If I change aircraft or anything like that, the sound disappears and my framerates go down to 1FPS. Not so much fun :( Does anyone have/had this problem aswell?Best RegardsJohan Adolfsson

In the continuous search for the last little bit of extra performance in FS9 I am considering changing my WinXP installation from FAT32 to NTFS.I currently have --- Drive C: WinME(FAT32) retained as there are some old applications which don't run or run badly in WinXPDrive D:(FAT32) Storage - here are all my FS backup files,unused aircraft etc- also some things such as Arrcab Carriers etc are on this drive.Drive E: WinXP(FaT32) with FS2004 and SB/AVC etc.C and E are on the same HDD.However ,before I do so I would like to know this.......1:I know that NTFS can "see" FAT32 drives/Files but not vice-versa.Can you save a file whilst in WINXP/NTFS to a FAT 32 drive and in …

Dear People.In recent times I find that for some reason when I change to spot view in FS 2002 pro, the aircraft has no skin(livery) It is just the silver-grey base. In most cases this happens with add-ons, but has happened with a few default as well.Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I tried raising the CPU priority of FS2002.exe, but it only helps a few times.And this makes the system very unstable, especially when I have Squawkbox, wRXE and FS real time running as well.In another development, which may well be related, I find that I cannot get more than a few seconds (11 perhaps 19 at the best, no matter what I do. OK, I'm going nuts. I'm trying to get this baby going. It installs fine but as soon as I try to load up the aircraft, FS2002 just freezes. No errors. Any ideas? Can't even get to the point to try to register it.Still waiting for "account activation" for the SSW forum just to post a question, that's why I thought I'll try here too. Very frustrating experience all around, except for paying for it. That went perfect.

I just installed Kingston HyperX PC4000 memory in my system, I'm running a P4 2.4C@3Ghz (250Mhz FSB) I'd like to run my system at a 1:1 ratio (reason for buying PC4000), problem is I can't select 500Mhz for my memory, 400 is the highest I can select, I did a search on google and a lot of people are running these speeds with the exact same system, please share your experience,Mike

Hi folks,i've just installed the excellent 757 Panel of Lonny Payne and patched it up for the FS9. It's really great with the POSKY 757 model and the 767PIC sounds, but in the mainpanel-view i can't look out of the window. There's only a thin line on the right side of the window where i can see out of the cockpit, everything else is black. If i'm looking out to the left, right etc. everything is o.k.Does anybody know the problem?Greets from Germany!Tom

Hello All,Well, in cleaning up FS9 files, I seemed to delete my King Air 350 file.......duh! Does anyone know where it would be on the discs?, or perhaps could someone send me the FS9 Model file for the King Air 350, I don't fly it much, however I would like to have it in the sim.thanks in advance . . . looked on all 4 discs but couldn't find it for the life of me.Best to allClay

Well I installed the new air files release today, followed and rechecked installation directions and after I click on the Fokker aircraft I want to fly, FS2004 vanishes and I am left with my desktop! Any explanations/solution out there for this problem? Thanks.GrantM

I don't want to be negative as this is such a great hobby and such an amazing forum, but what the heck is going on over at PC Aviator? That's 3 or 4 delays now since the initial release date on 15-Oct. Currently, they're showing 12/29 on their site which works out to over a 6-week slip. This is a huge slip to most professional s/w development companies. I have first-hand knowledge and experience in business s/w development and none of the company's I've worked for (except Cisco) would survive schedule outages like this. Does anyone know if the issues are business-related or technical? They've already done it once with LA/San Diego which makes this kind of prediction…

hidue to a recent reinstall..ive had to configure my Chproducts yoke,throttle and rudders,all USB..never had a problem before,but now the throttle is not working properly.it seems to start 3/4 of way forward.ive calibrated it and all the other bits at least twenty times,downloaded the control manager from CH,and tried just about everything i can think of.the yoke has its own throttle but i leave that down and use the chthrottle instead.(no problems before)i think its to do with the AXIS settings.but i thought they were automatically configured!! any help appreciated steveUK

I've noticed in the kneeboard that there is a tab for a flight briefing. I'm sure that's intended for use with some of the adventures that can be written. I've noticed in all my flights it's blank. I'd like to use it like a notepad. What file would I need to edit to put info that I would want displayed for my particular flight? Suppose, for example, I wanted to record a navaid frequency for a particular approach. Where could I put this so that it would show up on that tab of the kneeboard? Can this be edited in flight?BobL

Hello, I am interested in putting together a project for flight simulator that would start with a free file package for Flight Simulator that uses the Project Open Sky CRJ in various Delta connection colors/liveries. This package would consist of the different aircraft, flights/adventures, flight plans, splash screens, briefings, storys, web site and a possible Virtual Ailine based on these ideas.I am currently in the planning stages of this project and am trying to generate interest from skilled aircraft painters that are familiar with re-paints for the POSKY CRJ.
