I searched the library for Gerrish Gray's trees and found the following files - TREES_V3.ZIP, GTL_AGEN.ZIP, MSTREES.ZIP, and MSTREES2.ZIP - they all claim to be for FS2002. I have never really been very keen on the VC until now -- but FS2004 is changing all that for me. But I find that the only default VC that I find worthwhile are those the Cessnas.I think I will buy myself the Dreamfleet Archer for Xmas now that it has been updated for FS2004 -- but in the meantime, are there any really good freeware VCs out there for FS2004?ThanksBarry

I am a very experienced simmer who's used a lot of add-ons over the years but to my shame, I confess that I never used charts and never really nailed down approaches, Sids, Stars, etc. technically and ina professional manner. I HAVE used the FMC of PSS 747-400 and 777-200 properly adn well (excepting the SIDS and STARS features because I built my own SIDS and STARS in FSNav and exported them to PSS FMC), but never a GPS. I am now trying to master the GARMIN GPS 500 and having a heck of a time doing successful approaches, vectors, ILS approaches using the machine for the first time in my simming career.I am fine in almost all phases of flight using the GARMIn up till the…

Hi,Some new textures replacement sets for FS2004 have been released in AVSIM Library. Hi All,I am looking for a PC anywhwere of sorts for FS2004. In short I want to act as an instructor for a new student over TCPIP, to be able to take over the plane or fly by example, and then give it back to the student. That doesn't seem like it should be too hard. Any ideas?ThanksShane Lewis

Hi,I downloaded a Cheetah C by Jason Ashworth from Mirage4fs that uses the default Learjets panel.I then downloaded a Cheetah panel that is intended for use with the above mentioned Cheetah C - also from Mirage4fs.Unfortunately, there's not any installation guide in the panel's readme file and I have never before installed new panels on any aircraft.I suppose I have to delete the defualt Lear panel form the Cheetah and install the proper one in a certain way.I would appreciate it very much if anyone could give me step by step instructions on doing this.RegardsLodewyk Engels

Hi,I was flying from Spokane,WA to Olympia,WA last night and came across an extremly poor patch of mesh about 70 miles into the flight.I would post a screenie, but I am at work at the moment ;).This mesh was very faceted and had some big seams in it, now is this my system or is it the default mesh?.If it is the mesh would the FSGenesis mesh be better?.CheersDan.

Hi,It seems that I have a problem in selecting the type of weather in FS9. Although I repeatidly use the "weather themes" option, the system is puting me to "User defined weather" all the time.No matter what weather theme I choose.I have also tried to delete FS9.cfg and let the system create a new one with no results.Can anyone help me to resolve this???Thanks in advance,Vassilis

Why is it that all my add on planes that I added to FS2004 so far creep foward and build up speed? Im not touching the throttles. If this is a known problem is there a fix for it?

I have just begun training for my PPL at our local airport. My solo is approaching so I thought I would practice on FS2004. I became a little frustrated since I was not able to practice side slips exactly as my instructor demonstrated since the default Cessna behaves much different than its real life counterpart. Crosswind landings are especially different in reality than in FS2004 as well. Then I read on this board that a group called RealAir had made a significant improvement to the Cessna which real pilots claimed was on the mark. I tried it and the difference was amazing. 1) Hey does anyone have any liveries for the Cessna 208 Amphibian Caravan? I can't find any different paint schemes this plane.I've found paint schemes, like National Geographic, for the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan but not for the amphibian one. Hello all.I'm hoping someone has a solution to a sound problem that I'm having. Well, actually, It's my Dad who's having the issue. I'll try to explain it the best I can.What appears to be happening is a nasty sound that is generated when switching views. He explains the noise as what sounds like a broken speaker. This seems to be happening on more and more aircraft as time goes by. (That could be just because he's getting around to flying more aircraft.) I think the only default aircraft that he uses is the Baron so this is happening with add-on aircraft. For example... the Fokker from Project Fokker, a DC-8 from HJG, an Alaska 737 from unknown.
