I really like these panels, but I can't seem to get the radio to work right in the Embraer 170. I can change the ADF and Transponder but not the com1, nav1,& nav 2 . And on the 717-200 panel the alttitude, altimeter, airspeed combined gauge is not there it is a black box. Any ideas

Hi folks,I noticed that I have quite a lot of bumps on the taxiways and runways in FS2004. Anyone have a fix for this? Sometimes I change toggle between the different views my plane will 'dance' for no reason' and the nose gear will most likely crash because of the thumping on the tarmac. Sometimes it also thumps even if I'm not moving.Any idea, thanks!alvin

Hello,Well, I fanally have the SSW A310 "under control". I am flying from/to pretty solid now.Question: at what point in the flight (after TOD) do I take control away from the FMS and go to manual control (meaning landing mode / ILS) in the approach for final landing? With the PSS BUS I can let it go on "auto" all the way to the runway - I know that is not true with the SSW 310. There is a program to have all your aircraft zipped in a file until you need one, Could this also be done with scenery, so they could all be in a zipped file, until you come into that area??Should shorten load times when firing up the sim, and everything would be available as you fly into that area!! Hi,I have noticed in FS9 that the degree of raising or lowering the captains seat in 2D panel by using Shift + enter/backspace is rather big one (comparing to FS2002). Sometimes, when I raise the seat it causes me a terrible headache just because I hit my head on the roof of the cockpit:-) Does anybody nows how to tweak this and minimise the degree of raising/lowering the captains seat??:-zhelp Vassilis

How do I get it so my AI traffic labels show the route and airline name? I seen this on some screenshots. My AI labels now only show type of plane, plane manufacture, and altitude. I have all the checks maked in the AI label section of the setting section of FS2004.

I know this ought to belong in the hardware forum, but its fairly quiet.Don't know how, but I managed to lose the 'Save As' option when trying to download a file.I've tried reinstalling IE, reset defaults, and I still don't get it back.Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi AllI'm not totally sure what's happening here, but i've just upgraded my PC from an XP2200+ / GeForce 3 Ti200 system to an Intel 3.06MHz / Radeon 9600Pro system (see signature). Benchmarks using 3DMark2001 show a good improvement - from 7800 to 14600.Good news i thought. However, with FS2002 loaded and configured exactly as the old system and both systems running the same pre-saved scenario, the new machine shows absolutely no improvement in frame rate what so ever !!! Both machines are using 2x AA and 2x AF. I think i'm correct in stating that 3DMark2001, like FS2002 is a directx application. Hence, if there's a good improvement there, i can't see why this isn't refle…

At night I noticed that all my AI traffic don't have taxi lights. When they taxi around the airport their lights aren't on. It's not untile just before takeoff and landing that I see lights in front of the aircraft... I'm using Ultimate traffic but I don't think that would cause this problem.

Hi Any advice - I have a system that is a 2.6 Intel processor with 1gig ddr ram and 128mb 4x agp video card and 30gb 7200 hard drive.When using FS9 I can never get any frame rates higher then 15 to 20 with all FS settings turned down and 10-12 fps with everything turned up and some weather. - however every few seconds the frame rate jumps to 30/40 momentarily and then drops again - I have no anti-virus software running, just the WIN xp services. My system also suffers a bit of a stutter - slight but noticeable, especially in turns - I was just wondering if anyone thinks I have something happenning to slow this system down or is this as good I can expect. Is there a way to tone down the windshear that occurs when flying from one station to another. You know the one that goes from 030 at 10 to 210 @ 20 in a nano-second and rips the wings off....Egads, I've seen the 'OVERSTRESS' message and had to re-start my flight just one time too many...I use FS Meteo and have the registered version of FSUIPC and set the wind smoothing function to 1 knot/10 degrees every thirty seconds but it doesn't seem to have any effect.It does the same thing with the in-built download of real world winds aloft.Any help will be much appreciated.BobL

Hi,Recently I've discovered a problem that I didn't have before.I have programmed four buttons in my CH yoke to send keypresses in FS through FSUIPC: a/t disconnect, a/p disconnect (PIC767), RW push to talk key (scroll lock) and a "throttle cut" parameter to enable reverser functionality in PIC767.The problem. The keypresses experience a serious LAG for some reason. Many times when I press the buttons, nothing happens. Sometimes after a delay, and very rarely immediately as it's supposed to work. This is so weird because I never had this problem before. Some people over at PIC forum have complained about the same thing, and no one knows what to do ? It's seriously annoyin…

I have a 3 GHz P4, 1 GB PC3200, 128 MB ATI 9800 Pro, and 120 GB Seagate SATA 7200 rpm 8 MB Cache hard drive. My settings are all maxed out except I keep autogen off and AI traffic off and I use 4x FSAA and 8x AF. What will loading times and frame rates be like on my PC with the LA Megacenery?

I've put in recently all 3 versions of the FFX/SGA 737's. I've got a very nice Air France repaint of the 300 that shows up in the sim beautifully because the main textures have an alpha channel. The only version of the 500 Air France livery doesn't, and gets kind of 'blurred' when seen from hard angles. Can anybody explain to me how I can add an alpha layer to the textures on the 500? Hi allI am setting up a flight simulator with a projector for the forward view and independent screens showing the instrument panel and gps (see piccy attached). Does anyone know where I can find information or illustrations of the "correct" angles and offsets for me to set these views and instruments at? Particularly for a Cessna 172.Cheers,Billy

I learned to fly GA's on FS2002. I own a lot of payware. I became interested in bigger planes and went for the PSS Airbuses and the Flite one DC9 and the Cap Sim 727. I actually learned to fly some of these quite well. I use FSNAV2 for planning and actually get a lot of fun out of the CDU/FMS programming. I fly in FS2004 now but actually like FS2002 better!I went for the SSW Airbus because I got a little bored with the PSS planes in that- in my opinion, are very easy to fly. For your information and possible further tests:Yesterday I installed 4 pieces of fantastic freeware sceries available here:Belgium7000France Mesh, UK Mesh and Greece Mesh (from Pietro Mauri from who I had already installed several mesh sceneries... like the Balkans, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain.. - they make the surroundings so real with no fps loss)I had 3 flight attempts and 3 crashes... 2 on-line with "ms error reports" and one off-line freezing my comp. Can anyone recomend a good payware or freeware B717 planes for FS2004?

Ok..I have tried to change the location of my tower, so that I get the correct view. I have skewed over to the tower, copied the coordinates, and plugged them into AFCAD, but I still get a view thats a million miles from the airport (not really, but close enough) How do I get the right tower view?
