Hi,Just wonder if anyone knows if there is a Caravelle project going on for FS9?This is an aircraft which has been neglected big time in FS. :-(IMHO, it would be soooooo nice to have this historic aircraft in the hangar. Hello All,Well, I've put up with this for about a month, thought it was just a fluke the first time, then it began to happen more often. Now, half the time, the sound just dissappears and is gone. The only way to get it back is to exit FS and enter again. I have seen this post here and on other forums. Users describe a situation where they have successfully installed FS2004, insert CD4, run FS2004, the splash screen shows, and then...nothing. Task Manager usually shows "not responding".There could be a variety of reasons for this, but a main one is that they do not have DirectX 9a or 9b installed correctly.Download from Microsoft, and be sure that your internet connection is on during the installation phase.

Hey all, I got to thinking yesterday about multiple monitors for dragging add-ons such as FSNav to a second monitor...well, I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 sitting here and was wondering if it is possible to use it as a second monitor?? I figure that because you can select between 3d and 2d clouds in the sim, that you have to have both installed. They do not overwrite each other right? I only fly with 100% 3d, but I want to update the size of the 2-d too. A friend of mine (not internet connected) is getting an error message when he tries to install FS2004. His first installation attempt went right through to the 4th disk before the message appeared -- now he can't seem to get past the 2nd disk and sometimes , the installation doesn't seem to want to start at all.The message says "" Installer can't write file ****.***to drive. Ensure that the hardrive is not full or the file is not in use by another programme". Over the last couple of weeks I've been getting a lot ofoverlay type textures as per attached image. The appear on different panels and they seem to appear and disappear at random.Would welcome any advice/solution from anyone who may haveexperienced similar, I just can't figure out what causes it.

Do all these different categories of add-ons co-exist together, or will some over write the other. For example, if I were to install the Blue Sphere Textures, and then install some mesh or scenery, will it cancel out the Blue Sphere Textures, or if I had add-on scenery or mesh, and then installed a Texture, will it cancel out the scenery or mesh?

Hi all, I am trying to install the realair cessna 172 for fs2002 after it being recommended to me, unfortunately I cannot get it to show on the sim, in current aircraft, when I click on install_172 in the new paint installer box the fs directory box is blank, the path I put in it is c/prog files/ms games/fs2002 then click install and the a box pops up saying test form run time error 53, but when I look in the aircraft folder in fs2002 the realair 172 is there and looks ok to me, but as I say when I run the sim it does not show under current aircraft, can you give any advice please, looking forward to running it, sounds so good what I have read about it. Wondering if anyone's found a good AFCAD2 file for Palm Beach International? I know there's one available on AVSIM that's OK, but has virtually no GA traffic. I checked over at Project AI and they don't seem to have one, nor does Ultimate Traffic.Any advice appreciated, including "how to edit" an AFCAD to create more GA traffic if that's an easy option.Best,Joel

Hi All,I was wondering if there is anyway to stop the sim from displaying the annoying messages about barometer, mixture etc., that alway pop up. I am flying a high altitude jet route right now and it keeps telling me that my barometer is set for high altitude (no kidding huh) and press B to fix it. Also removing the break and parking break message would be great too.ThanksMark

Last time I de-fraged my hard drive, the graphics in the simulation were washed out, aircraft looked like they came from a sim in 1990.Anyway, deleting the main config file in the game and then restarting the sim worked.But now I can't seem to find the silly config file in the main folder.Anybody know where it is?I feel pretty inept here, I found it the last time. Can anyone tell me if if makes any difference at all to fps speed if I have all my add on scenery being used directly as oppose to cacheing the scenery which are the two options you have when adding on scenery. Does cf9 load up scenery thats not required into available memory if you have the option of the scenery being used directly selected. And if you have lots of add on scenery does this start to eat up your available memory?Any Ideas anyone?Don:-zhelp
