The default value of TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT is 60 I believe, and I have seen tips suggesting that 400 is a good value if you have the right configuration. If I understand what I have read, this helps control how fast textures are fed to your video card.How high can you set this value?I have tried as high as 1200 and do not see much difference over 200, 400, etc.I would appreciate some guidance on this. Thanks.

I'm trying to think of some ideas for what my wife could buy me for my up coming birthday. One idea I have is for a book written by somebody who has flown their own plane on a route across America and or Europe. I would like to use Flight Simulator to follow their route. One which I can use Does anybody have any recommendations? One I have seen is called "Lyrical Aviators: Travelling America's Airways in a Small Plane". Does anybody have any comments about that one?

I tried to select the Realair Cessna in the flying lessons.In the solo enter holding lessons this was possible for the direct and parallel holdingpatterns, but not in the teardrop or any other lessons (IFR). In these cases 'select plane' is grayed out.Why is this possible in two lessons but no other?

Tonight I did a flight from Amsterdam (AMS/EHAM) to Corfu (CFU/LGKR)(using Posky's 757-200) and when I got to Corfu I was given a VOR DME approach to runway 17. Can someone explain to me how to set up the instruments so I can fly this approach properly.I only had FS2004 since december and since I had FS9 I was never given this type of approach before.

Hello,I now have my Project Magenta testbed up and running. It is three computers and three displays. I have been testing PM modules for GA, BOEING and Regional Jet sim flying and have A/C for each;1. RJ - Eaglesoft Ciatation X2. GA - Realair 1723. BOEING - PMDG 737-700 What I need now is a recommendation for an Airbus Model. My PSS aircraft will not work with Project Magenta Software. Thanks in advance,Ron Sagel

I've always thought that when flying on autopilot and using the GPS as the Nav source, that the autopilot got directional information from the GPS. What I found was that when flying the C172 or C182, if you set the gryo drift to on and fly along awhile, if you hit the D key to realign the DG, the plane changes heading. This seems to show that the autopilot is getting heading information from the DG and not the autopilot. Is there another explanation for this?

Hi all,In aircraft.cfg we have a section called [ Reference_Speeds ].An example:[ Reference Speeds ]flaps_up_stall_speed=148.000000full_flaps_stall_speed=122.000000cruise_speed=552.421072max_indicated_speed=350.000000max_mach=0.821240My question is: If I modify these values like this:full_flaps_stall_speed=102.000000Can I really fly the aircraft with full flaps at about 110 Kts? (the original value was 122 Kts). I mean... are the values in this section only for informative purposes, or they really change the stall speeds for an aircraft?Thank you in advance :-)Best regards,

Hello, I have had the project Airbus A320 for sometime in my FS 2002 aircraft folder. I have the panel from Eric Marciano as well. Thing is I had not really flown it prior yesterday.Last night I decided I would fly it, and while cruising at Mach 0.8 at FL330, I noticed that the airplane was pitched up about 3-4 deg. This is apparent from the PFD, and looking at the airplane in spot view confirms this.My question is: Is this normal for the A320? If the answer is no, is there a parameter I can change in the aircraft.cfg file to correct this? This is for FS2002 Pro.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I finally decided that I would buy into Project Magenta glass software. I have three computers connected via Widefs and I think the RJ (regional jet display) will enhance my simming especially for 99.00US.Names have been changed (you figure it out)So I find that there are several places I can purchase the RJ software. "Myfavoriteflight".com is the easiest and I can also purchase from a distributor in Canada or I can purchase via paypal direct from Project Magenta.I figure Ill go to "Myfavoriteflight".com because they have been very quick about providing keys in the past and very reliable. Hello Gang!Has anybody noticed a problem with the Project ERJ 135 and 145 where every once in a while, the front view goes black? If anyone has and have found a solution, please let me know. This issue is happenning with any panel I install for this airplane and it is isolated to just happening with the Project ERJ ERJ's. I'm looking for an F/A 18 hornet for FS9. There are several panels and repaints in the avsim library, but as far as I can tell, there aren't any actual aircraft.I've found several mentions of a hornet by K. Virtanen, but I cannot find it here or on other sites. The filename is supposed to be FS9FA18C.zip but a search for that name returns nothing and a search for the author's name doesn't find any F-18s.Does anyone know where I can find this plane or maybe another good F-18thanks.

HiHas anyone ever had "Card used recently" with the wrapper and the purchase is not allowed. I used it at Flight1 about 36 hours ago to buy something, which was succesfull. It seems to not allow 2 purchases in 24hrs, but it's now 36hrs, and there is nothing blocked on the card etc.Anthony

Hi:I'm having a great time practicinig IFR with RealAir's 260. With the IFR panel though will not exten all the way down such that I get a thin line beneath the panel of sky. Same thing with the right side. I cannot resize to fix the problem. The main panel does nothavethis problem. I tried going into the panel config but could not figure out what to adjust and how. Any ideas?Thanks

Greetings,We experience stutters from time to time and have accepted them as an indication for a needed upgrade to our 1.2 ghx machine.Not ready to make that upgrade just yet, so what would happen if I purchased a 512 mb USB Flash Memory stick that has transfer rates up to 1.5 Mbit/sec and REDIRECTED my 98SE swap file to this flash memory instead of the current hdrive location? Setting the swap file size accordingly.Thanks for all knowledgeable advise!Regards,BobSSeems the rage to talk about the "size and speed" of each others computer.
