Hi everyone,This is my first post after some years of inactivity. However, I read this forum every single day. I know some people are suffering from the CtD symptom. It has been happening to me since day one, not constantly, buy at least once a week. Sometimes I get the message: MS has encounter an error on module xxxx (ntdll.dll has been a very common one); some other times the sim simply quits and the whole system restarts (incredible uh?); and some other times the sim quits and sends me back to the desktop. This latter happened yesterday, and for the first time I reload the simulator to find out that the sim will quit again after 4 or 5 seconds (never happened before: …

Hi to all,during my last flight over Italy from Florence to Naples, Rome center said to me to contact Pisa approach.Pisa is very far to the north and doesn't have nothing to do with Rome going south to Naples.Obviously there is an error in the ATC files.I checked by Lee Swordy AFCAD all frequencies in the stock&Mod files of the near airports possibly related with the position where I had this strange instruction.All airport frequencies are correct.There are somewhere else in FS9 other files used by the ATC to drive traffic on airways?If they do exist how can I correct this error?Thank you

I am curiuos as to how much you guys fly? My average interval between flights is usually every other day, however when I get into a flying mood I fly every day, as often as I can. My average flight length is about 2 hrs, with the min being 45 min, and the max being 3 hrs.How about you guys?

does anyone know if its possible to listen to live atc chatter on the net, any programs etc (free preferably) and also flight tracking (like airnav live flight tracker) but again free as i'm pretty short on cash. thanx for any input guyzPaul.

I have lots of data on the 737-200 with EPR settings mentioned, but nothing at all that mentions N1 settings/readings. I just wondered, what are typical cruise N1 readings on the 737-200 "Advanced" (JT8D-9A) model? Appreciate any posts/guidance, etc., hanks!JS

Does anyone know where I can find Airport Geneva 2004 and Airport Zurich 2004 as a direct download? They have it on Aersoft's site, but you have to order the CD's. I would rather get a direct download instead of ordering the CD's. I tried SimMarket but they don't have it.

Hello,What would cause the FFX 737 800 and 200 series to crash to the desk top when:1) at the payload/fuel screen2) during the flight if I did not touch the screen in #1 aboveI know all of my other planes work great so I think it is a plane specific issue. And they were one of my favorites in 2002 (great job!). I know there were numerous posts here but could not find any answers.Thanks for your help.

I am so bummed. About a month ago, due to my incessant tweaking, somehow someway I ended up corrupting my install of FS9 that had been running non-stop since the day of its release. All the FSGenesis mesh, all the aircraft, everything was reinstalled, and worked perfectly. One month later, something else is causing the awful FS2004 shut down message, with the send error report & restart options. I added the PSS Dash 8 and Alaska mesh, is about all that I can think of in the recent past. I guess I could delete those, but geez I'm not flying in Alaska, and the crashes are happening with more than one aircraft, and NO Dash 8 at the time.Anyone have a clue where I co…

Have an Athlon 1800+ and a GF3 Ti 500 and 512 MB RAM... Hoping for Athlon 64 3400 or 3800 this summer and the fastest PCIExpress card that ATI or Nvidia has on the market and a gig of RAM, but till then I won't have the horsepower... Always seemed to be able to run FS2002 adequately with 2X AA with my current rig, and medium to high on all settings... In the context of FS2004:1.) Can I expect the same performance? It seems like most report that performance with FS2004 is "at least" as good as with FS2002... Sound right?2.) The Autogen "problem"... What is the fix for this?3.) Hi all,I have every Georender installed as well as Megascenery SoCal and FlyTampa's KSAN. Will installing the 38.2 West Coast FSGenesis mesh screw with these sceneries? Any advice is appreciated before I install this. Probaly should of asked before buying:]Mike

Is there anyway to delete views in fs2004 like the Tower view. I very seldom use this and it takes a little while for it to load and sometimes causes my computer to freeze up.Thanks a lot

Hi, I always fly as realistically as possible in FSIM. I therefor am looking for some help. I am looking for different calculations which i can use for things like > Calculating Time to Destination or Fuel required or Fuel time left. Ever since I downloaded the ariane 733 TCASII panel, the fuel in my aircraft feeds only from the right wing tank. There really wouldn't be a problem with it if I never had to turn Autopilot off, but when I have to on approach, my aircraft banks the the left because of the un even balance of the fuel. Is there anywhere in the Aircraft config file that I can change this?Thanks in advance.

Argh, been pulling my hair out for a week or more trying to isolate the cause if intermittent crashes and CTD's. Tried the CTD fix, changing directories one by one with the orginal that I had backed up, and nothing seems to work. So, I'm doing a fresh install. The aircraft are straightforward, I'll move over the ones I want or install them. And I'll end up with a lot less than I have now, hehe. Same with addon scenery. FS Navigator and AS2004 I'll just reinstall, but I'm thinking more along the lines of the texture folder. Chris's clouds are of course a must, but wondering what else would you recommend as a nice to have or even as a must have. Many thx!rgds,billg

Hi,Can anyone tell me how to get AI traffic landing on the correct runways for the wind direction current at the time. Example, EGLL using Radar Contact and vectored to land on 27L as wind is 260 at 33knts. All the AI traffic is being vectored by FS ATC to land on 09L with a 260 wind at 33knts. It had the wind and direction right but not the runway. I have even tried setting the wind direction manually say 270 at 50kts and it still will choose 09 with a wind at 270 degrees.Thanks Mike

HelloHere is what I want to do, but I thought I would check with the forum first. I want to hook up two Joysticks, throttles and rudders pedals to my computer. I want to use my old thrustmaster (F-22, TQS, Rudder pedals) to the serial port for use when flying Falcon 4.0 and use my CH Yoke and pedals for flying FS9. Is there an easy to do this and select which system I want to use depending on what sim I want to fly? I don't want to disconncet the wires each time I want to use a different sim.Thanks and regardsEd

Just picked this up on the PMDG forum. Take a look at any of your aircraft from the outside. Turn off the lights and turn on the lights. Look at your frame rates. Bet they are about 25% lower with the lights on.Sounds like a good job for those of us who can do some programming. Not me as you would not want to see the result. Hey ,i have an unusual sound problem:when i fly in fs9 and before that in fs2002 Pro i cant hear the jet powered aircraft and also the ATC, but i can hear the props, AI traffic with both prop and jet, and groud roll. i belive its not an FS definition problem because i have the problem since FS2002. it might be DirectX but i cant find Version 8 or else below version 9.b (which i have). anyone else have this problem and possibly a fix?

hello I'm using FS2002 and would like to take flight planing to the higher realism. Seeing the limitation of the flight planer in FS such as no SID and STAR insertion prevent me from seeing the "big picture" of the route I'm going to flyy, especially with FMC. Which planer should I go for If I'm looking for the highest realism. I see 2 alternatives here FSbuild and the pricy FSnavigator. Or some techniques to add SID STAR using FS planer so I could save the money. thanks.
