Hi. I've just installed my CH USB Pro Pedals and can't seem to get the brakes to shut off. I've calibrated them several times and when looking at the "raw data" both X and Y axes are at 0, but when in the sim (FS2004) they won't go off. Using either the "." on the keyboard or the "1' button on the yoke will not turn them off. I've turned the sensitivity all the way down, no luck. Even if I rock my heels all the way back on the pedals that still won't do it. Is there something possibly wrong in the pedals causing this? BTW, the differential braking seems to work fine. Thanks,Jeff

Can you help me find a really good A320/321 Airbus - I don't mind Shareware-Payware or Freeware. Sad fact is my all time favourite commercial aircraft was the PSS Airbus Series, this aircraft no longer works (for me) in Fs9. Any help would be appreciated.Disclaimer; PSS are a great Team, I have no problems with them at all. I'm sure they they will fix the Airbus given time. For now though I'm 'in regression'.KenSomerset, England

I just bought a copy of FS2004 and I really like the taxiway signs. Is there any way I can import these into 2002 so I can see them there also? Some of my planes can only be used in 2002.Or are there any freeware programs out there that have the taxiway signs for all the airports?

Hi is there any way of requesting emergency landings on flight simulator 2004

I checked the RealAir Simulations homepage (http://www.realairsimulations.com/) today, and saw a wonderful surprise: preview pics of their upcoming Scout! The Scout belongs to the same family as the already released Super Decathlon, but while the latter is primarily suited for aerobatics, the Scout is designed as a bush plane. The Scout has flaps, which should make short field landings a lot easier, and the panel includes an HSI, RMI, ADF and auto pilot.I had heard rumors of RAS developing this Scout, and I'm so excited to see the rumors were true! Can't wait to get my hands on it!!! Finally a proper bush plane ...Okay, I'll try to calm down now ;)VOlker :]

I love the Lancair Legacy by Robert Christopher. It is a beautiful well done aircraft. I prefer to fly it from the virtual cockpit, but the guages are not as fluid as I would like. I was wondering if there is anything in the panel or aircraft config files that can be edited to fix this?

So I'll be (the first?) to thank the Avsim.com administrators for making the site better than ever! Both evening, morning and over-day loadings are almost the same, very fast, and the site is browsable at any time of the day, which is really great! Taking in aspect that the site hosts lots of pictures (Screenshot forum which is again open), and many many users access the site so far I gathered. So guys, great job and keep up the good work! :)

I am told that there is a way to use Nav24 to define a flight plan, then use fltrec to to record the actual flight path, dump all this data into Excel and compare the flight plan to the actual flight path. Can someone tell me how to actually do this? Please provide details because I am not very good at all this. I understand that the data can be collected in 1 second intervals....is this true? What is the smallest amount of distance between the flight plan and the actual flight path that can be measured (I hope that it is about 1 foot because I would like to get a fairly specific reading). I have downloaded Nav and fltrec and I have the professional version of FS2002. If …

Hi all,I've been experiencing something odd lately and am looking for some help.At first achieving cruise altitude(this could be anywhere from 150 up to 330, 340 feet, etc.) with autopilot on, speed somewhere around 270, 280 kts and just leveling out, the aircraft starts losing air speed until stall and then crash. Intentionally pushing the nose over does nothing. Neither does turning the auto pilot off and manualy flying. This happens with, but not limited to, Posky and MelJet. Both outstanding pieces of work, so don't get me wrong. This has happened with '67's, '57's, '77's, and '47's.Any help is appreciated.Mike

I find it very tricky to enter holding. After passing the fix and turning outwards it is extremely tricky to intercept the radial.I'm supposed to make standard rate turns but great departure is needed if I'm to intercept the radial.Should I start a standard rate turn after first passing the fix or should turn steeper to compensate for the longer initial turn? One reason for my problem I suppose is that since I'm flying a Cessna it's always a very short distance (<2 nm) to the VOR fix which makes the needle sensitive. Will it be easier in a faster plane. It's the soloflight enter holding lessons I practice. Both with the standard and the realair (direct parallel). I'm usin…

This one has me stumped, and today it's worse than I've ever seen it. I've had this problem off and on for a while, but tonight it actually interfered with flying because it was happening so much, so I thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced this.FS2004 switches from cockpit view to top-down view uncommanded, and sometimes back again. At first I thought that I had a bad switch in one of the hats on my CH USB Pro Throttle, but I deleted the key assignment from that controller and it's still happening. (I also verified that this assignment has not been made to any of my other controllers.)I am slightly suspicious of my GoFlight hardware; I'm not sure but sometimes th…

Hi,Does anyone know of a good (preferably free) online flight planner?.I use fltplan.com , but it does not extend to european airports, I had a look at aeroplanner.com but that seems rather pricy. So does anyone know of any other?CheersDan.

Hi,Today, I have started to get seasonal CTD's, don't have any idea why, but the MaskClassMap fix in the terrain.cfg has fixed it a treat.Basically, what I wanted to know was, what is the visual effect of changing this parameter?.CheersDan.

A few months ago I remember seeing some preview photos of the Project Fokker F-70 and F-100 v2 models, but we haven't heard or seen anything from them in a long while. I was wondering if anyone has any news on this?

Hi guys,This is a first time abnormality for me. I had to do a fresh re-install due to a system crash. Everything is almost restored to perfection except for these rectangular clouds that occur occasionally, it does not matter if I am at a low or high altitude. Here is a sample picture:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/67572.jpgAny Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am using Chis Willis's high performance DTX clouds, I got the same effects from the reduced size 32bit clouds as well. I am also using AS2004 and the latest ver of FSUIPC (registered)Kroswynd

Last night I was flying over Sydney with my autogen set at high and my height around 2000 feet. While I was looking around I thought to myself how a bit "cartoony" some of the buildings looked and how some appeared to be bigger than they should. Hmmm, I thought. I wonder what it would look like with no autogen. I've got the UK vfr photographic scenery and, to me, that looks very realistic at 2000feet plus. So I decided to reduce the autogen to nil. The resulting scenery looked very good I thought. It was late so I didn't have a chance to look at any other areas. I will do so tonight. I guess that some areas will need autogen. For example wooded hills and the like but I'm …

Hi guys,I had inserted a new ILS to Runway 9 of EHAM. During approach, the ATC is still calling for VISUAL APPROACH RUMWAY 9? I'm using AFCAD221 to inserted the new ILS. Is this normal that the newly inserted ILS will never be registered by the ATC engine of fs9?Put the ATC aside, good thing is that I could simply simulate a visaul approach to Runway 9 by tracking the newly created ILS!Is there a way to force the ATC recognised the newly inserted ILS or did I miss anything after inserting the ILS or there is nothing I could do?Thank you very much in advance for your kind attention and advices!I hope to get some confirmation from you guys ASAP!
