If you're like me, I'm always looking for airport identifiers, and don't necessarily like to do it within MSFS. Try this link, and see if you like it. I click on a State, and print out all the identifiers, and keep them in a notebook by my computer.I usually take off from my home airport (KABE) and fly a few states in all directions from the airport.However, I just did print out the state of Washington, because of the great scenery out there, and plan to visit some of the airports on the list while viewing the superb mountains and water. Hi all, I just purchased the V35 Bonanza upgrade from Carendo since I have long enjoyed my original V35. The only problem is when I go to switch views I get a solid green area where the window is supposed to be. This will last a second or so & then go to the correct window. Wanted:An individual with access to a sound studio (preferably one in their own home) who can record approximately six different voices for a new payware fltsim product. Scripts are available. Recording should take about an hour, approximately. The big thing is we need six different people to record the voices.Preferred accents: North American, and as neutral as possible.Preferred background: Real-world aviation and the ability to modify sounds so that they sound like they would be heard in a cockpit. Hi Everybody!I have a problem! No matter how I try the nose of my aircraft is always way up in the air while flying. The result is that the engines must work awfully hard to reach cruise speed, it looks bad and so on. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?Greatful for any suggestions!/Per

Sometime ago there was a lot of talk about the blinking/flashing trees in FS9. Problem seems to appear only on ATI 9700 and 9800 cards. I have tried some workarounds that time but still having this issue with Catalyst 4.3 now.Are there users who already have solved this prbolem?? I cost me lots of money buying an ATI 9800 but still haven't much fun.Thanks,Marcel

I've downloaded a lot of the time tables from AI traffic which I love.The problem is that now I have a lot of "twins" flying around. I seetwo of the same aircraft for some of the flights. It's bad enough that ATC does not space aircraft out when lining them up for approach whichcauses a lot of go-arounds, but this just makes the situation even worse. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this duplication?Thanks

Hi,Does anyone know how to change the default altitude that surface winds kick in in FS2004? It seems that default is 1000 feet AGL. It's very annoying to be all lined up for final and then get hit with a sudden 20 knot crosswind at 1000 feet. I'd like to change it to 3000 or 5000 if someone knows how to do that.Thanks,Tony

I have just completed a Round the World flight in FS2004. The aircraft used was the Rutan Voyager(by Alan Kaiser/Vintage Aircraft Works) on an eastbound Singapore to Singapore route.The route was from Singapore Paya-Lebar(WSAP) direct to overhead Portaviejo in Ecuador(SEPV) to overhead Mogadishu (HCMM) to WSAP.Departed WSAP at 1505Z on Feb 29th, arrived WSAP at 1323Z on 13th March.I am posting this report on the flight in the hope that not only will it be of interest in general, but more that it may give hope and encouragement to the many people that seem to suffer endless problems getting FS2004 to run satisfactorily.As will be seen from my hardware specs- my PC is by…

Sometimes I don't file a flight plan, but just use the GPS "direct to" and fly. However, sometimes I'd like to just let ATC direct me to an airport and an appropriate ILS. Exactly how do you do a flight plan en route, with just an "arrival airport"?

I tried using Umberto Noto's panel for the excellent Ilyushin Il-76.Unfortunately, FS2004 crashes to the desktop when the aircraft is selected.Never had this problem before with any panel.The aircraft works very well with the default B747 panel.Grateful for any help or any suggestions for another panel.Thanks.

Before I get started on what i want to say I want to first off say that the eagle soft product is an amazing add on for Flight sim. I own it and am very happy with it. that said, my thoughts are as follows. I've always felt let down by the simplicity and dumbed down default planes of the lear and boeings that MS includes. I always felt like it was no different from flying the Cessna. After 9/11 Iand we all remember the stories of how Flight sim might of been used I felt like i too could operate a heavy. My fps in the Flight1 Piper meridian are extremely disappointing! i am using the dxt3 textures and low res VC but it seems impossible to get anything above 25fps. I think it has something to do with the gps trainer running in the background, and i have tried the Hyperthreading, which works excellent, but the 2d view slows everything downto about 25 fps. Is this normal w/ the meridian?My specs are:PIV 3.00 ghz w/ HTPC 3200 512mb RAMATI Radeon 9600XT160gb hard driveand my sliders in fs9 are in the middle on everythingAny help or advice is greatly appriciated!!Thanks, Jeff

I just flew from KAVP in Pennsylvania to KUNV (University Park - Home of Penn State)using the DF Cardinal and an IFR flight plan made with the FS flight planner. While using the FS9 ATC it cleared me for a radar vector approach to the ILS rwy 24. I decided to try a different approach and selected the full ILS 24 approach for practice. The menu prompted me to select either the Tyrone or PSB (Philipsburg) transitions. I was comoing from the east, and upon viewing the ILS Rwy 24 plate I noticed the PSB and Tyrone vors are west of the airport. There is no transition near or along my path from the east. Do real pilots have to fly out of their way to the west in this case to pi…
